@@1060michaelg do you think it’s possible that maybe it was her choice? I am being serious. I feel like I’ve seen interviews with her talking about what it’s like writing with her bandmates. It always seemed symbiotic to me, but I wasn’t there. I hope that she wasn’t really put up on the shelf like that. It is extremely satisfying to watch her play and sing at the same time. I find it just as satisfying to watch her just sing sometimes too, but that’s because she was so very amazing.
@@kassandrakid9440 Anie--- I agree with as regards the symbiosis that existed between her and her band...maybe at some point Amy just figured, I'll just sing because she had top notch players so perhaps she thought "It'd be redundant to have me playing as well..." but I can't get over that, to me, she looked a little uncomfortable without her guitar, but not all the time. Certainly her producer and her "people" had influence and were no doubt saying, "Amy, they come to see you sing..." and there is a parallel between Amy and Karen Carpenter in this area; Karen was an expert drummer (and many other instruments). It gave her joy to play. But in Karen's case, she was tactlessly pushed into giving up playing onstage and just be the front girl, singing. Karen HATED not being able to play, and you could see it. But I don't think Amy, even at her most vulnerable, could be "Pushed" into anything! Heh, that's my long winded way of agreeing with you!! Peace.
So many songs Amy wrote were about her own ordeals, life circumstances, heartbreak, addiction, and brokenness… she was such a talented beautiful gifted soul and unfortunately, she didn’t reach her own potential because she was only just starting and already mesmerizing. Beyonce is overhyped for a sense of black/Feminism respect. Rhianna can't go low lol Leona Lewis also lost her voice and she had potential

@@ange5910 Adele's voice sounds better on her new album, and it's nothing to do with weight loss or gain, it's because she's just improved her skill over time.
@@hearmenow909 some people's chest diaphragm changes after pregnancy or weight loss/gain. The diaphragm affects singing in many ways.
She really was so amazing.
Her voice....ONE AND ONLY!
she starts of a bit timid, but still confident, eyes darting between her guitar and the audience, really beginning to grasp how many people are there watching her. she builds more and more confidence and her voice and artistry gets stronger. i think it really peaks at 2:40 when she smiles to herself and the spirit of soul really just consumes her entirely, you can see it in her eyes. i really think this is the moment she realized who she was. then it fades into that beautiful wailing trumpet solo. i love this performance.
I think she's high tho
@@CameForTheCommentsOn weed maybe. A little drunk. She wasn't doing anything else at that time. Alcohol is what helped her get up on that stage because she was very introverted.
You were friends? Cool
@@jayess9345 literally said that no where, go be weird in someone else's replies
Her loss is a disgrace. She is and continues to be, with the music she left behind, the best artist of this generation. Love you Amy❤️
Yep. It's tragic. Her vocals are once in a lifetime
Eu sempre tive a impressão de que ela cantando era como se estivesse falando, não faz esforço nenhum, é simplesmente a melhor que ja tivemos ❤
♡❤♡ ! !
Yeah, not a 'disgrace'. Tragic, sad, and a huge loss.
But not a disgrace
@@squirrelbutler2119 sorry if my expression was weird or inappropiate, Im not a native english speaker😢
She doesn’t even have to say anything at the end of her songs, her beautiful smile is more than enough. ❤️❤️
with this hairstyle, she was one of the prettiest women ive ever seen. a face like a goddess. and this voice.....
yeah Thank You Very Much BC...this take where she plays/sings standing up the other guitarists mess around tryin to make her look simple, or enrich her playin, but she wrote songs, so whys it soo difficult for some guitarists to accept that..., maybe its the whole musicbusiness of money and or fame, love,K

Finally somebody that doesn’t focus on her pain. I really appreciate your comment! She was incredible and very beautiful! (I hate even bringing it up, but we know how prevalent that crap is and it bothers me.) ♥️
She is truly one of the greats. A totally unique sound even before Mark Ronson got onboard. Such a sad loss still, its hard to accept.
One of the Greats for sure Kev , I could not have said it better .Paul.
So many wonderfully talented singers have passed before there time and most of overdoses simply heartbreaking and sad
@@Awakendabeast13 Yes it is so sad , as you have said. lost too many great talents this way .
Belle chanson.plein de sentiment
😢
I know it’s entirely subjective but I genuinely don’t think this country has ever produced a better talent; across sports/acting/singing etc, no one has been more talented.
At 1:48, her voice breaks, and it is one of the most chillingly beautiful vocal inflections I have ever heard.
Si me encanta ella usaba muchos recursos vocales me encanta con una naturalidad unica
She seemed so happy when she performed with the guitar, like it was a shield🥰
Sarah --- I agree completely...and as a guitarist myself I can tell you she knew how to lay back and "comp" while another musician is playing their solo...I don't know why (or who) she was persuaded to just sing because she is as good as a jazz rhythm fingerstyle player as you'd likely find...I MISS HER!!!
Certainly her producer and her "people" had influence and were no doubt saying, "Amy, they come to see you sing..."
and there is a parallel between Amy and Karen Carpenter in this area; Karen was an expert drummer (and many other instruments).
Just imagine if she would’ve still been alive? She’s surely missed! May her soul rest in eternal peace
Needless to say... TOTAL natural...
Soul oozing from her inner soul...❤
amy winehouse was and will forever remain the great music star ❤🌹🌠

Her voice was an unique instrument
It was very horn like
More specifically it was her "vocal phrasing", it was "next level". Unusual for a pop artist !

I only appreciate this incredible woman after she passed. Shame on me! RIP Amy Winehouse💜 Your music will live on forever!!!✌
Do not feel bad. I think after many people watched the doc Amy, it changed their perception of her. She was finally humanized. I will forever hate the media for being so unfair and cruel to Amy during a really difficult time in her life.
Same here💜😐😔
Me to, what a loss.
I have not watched the documentary. I've simply been just listening to her music and thinking how I had so prejudged her.💜✌
In contrast i heard her song that called you know i am no good. And after listening i started to listen her other songs. Aftet being her great fan i had a look to her life. And nothing changed for me. I loveand miss Amy.
I only recently discovered the delight of Amy's music - apparently we didn't have it under the rock I had been living. What a talented musical artist.
I think this is Amy's best song and the best version
Exceptional timing. She had it. Outstanding.
she’s so phenomenal 🥺
I love how when the trumpet solo starts and the camera zooms in, you can see trombone guy just close his eyes and fuckin vibe like music is piercing his damn soul. Fucking love it, watching musicians enjoy what they do.
I miss her! Her jazz, guitaring, so complete but gone forever! RIP ⚰️✝️ ‼️
She is absolutely gorgeous ,super,
In the doc about her, you see she could do this all by herself with no band at all. What a singular talent.
Great to see Amy up there with a Fender. It doesn't get any better than this.
Today it is 10 years since she left, God bless you Amy, wherever you are.
