Hey guys, I’m going to make a 3D animation of this song. You see I plan to make a parody of this song with four different Genies: Anna, Robin Williams, Will Smith, and James Monroe Iglehart from broadway. However, I will start on the animation in about 2 years because I need to take character design for animation.
Imagine this as a post credit scene *Aladdin walks in to see the Genie and as he walks in the he's Robin's Genie who waves and then disappears* Then Aladdin asks who was that and Will's Genie responds "a friend like me" Bam!!
I wonder, can each grant three wishes each, one wish each or does the lamp count them so once a single genie has granted 2 wishes, one will have to sit this one out?
Alfred Sanders I like to think that each grant 1 wish but they grant it in they’re own way. It would be like if you asked them the same wish it would come out differently in their own unique way
This NEEDS to be animated. Imagine it. Robin, the life of the party. Ana, the cutie. Will, the cool one. Hell, the only way this could get any better is if it included the Broadway Genie. But still, either way, this was an amazing mashup! EDIT: I changed old coot to life of the party, since a few people didn't like the description I have Robin's genie.
I like the way it closes with Robin's Genie. Overall it was nice. Kind of chaotic or messy at times but I get why that is the case. It is nice overall. Though I will say I remember NE-YO had done a cover so I thought he was gonna be here. But, I get why he wasn't, which makes sense.
@AggressoDepresso The way NE-YO's version was different in style to these 3 that played so it would be harder to have the music play with that one in the background messing the music up even more. Or at least from two of them. The live action Aladdin one has the same style to it but less so in certain places.
i kinda remember ne-yos after seeing it on tv a few times wasnt the instrumental too different to be put with these or is there some other reason why it wouldnt fit?
I really loved how you focused on putting Will's new parts like "Mr. Man what's your name?" and his rap part, it sounds like Anna and Robin are in sync with eachother while Will is doing his own thing, which is true! Also little "Aladdin" at 2:04 was cute and funny for me for some reason 😂

The idea of 3 genies in a lamp with distinct opinions on Aladdin’s situation and giving him different advice throughout the movie is something that needs to exist
So each genie grants one of your three wishes. That'd actually make a cool setting. I can almost see them debating over who gets to grant what specific wish.
Anna Genie: Oh! Oh! Pick me! Will Genie: No, pick me! I hadn't granted a wish yet! Robin Genie: Woah! Hold your horses, guys! He hadn't even wished yet!
Another way is for all three to work together to make it happen. Will: First, that outfit. What are we saying? Beggar? No. Work with me. (Medieval) Too simple. (Greek) Too Spartan. (Roman) Et tu, Brute! Nope. (Prince clothes done) Whoo, now that's fresh. Anna: Me next! Let see... I'm thinking... transportation! (Camel) No, not enough. (Horse) Still not enough! Let me see here (Rapid - funny - changes). I know! Here's an amogo simi-dumbo (Elephant) BOOM. Robin: Talk about your trunk space. He's got the outfit. He's got the elephant. But we are not through yet! (All three roll up imaginary sleeves) Hang on to you turbin, kid. We're gonna make you a star!
All Genies: Excuse we?! Anna: Did you rub our lamp? Robin: Did you wake us up? Will: Didya bring us here? Robin: And suddenly you're walking out?! Anna: How rude can you get?! Will: Not cool man, not cool! Aladdin: Well, I... Robin: I DON'T THINK SO! Anna: Nope! Will: Uhn-uh! Genies: YOU'RE GETTING YOUR WISHES SO *SIT DOWN*!!!
I got one! (When first meeting Aladdin/before the mashup happens!) Will: Oh mighty master that stands before us... Robin: You have rubbed the lamp... Anna: And, you have summoned us, all three of us, therefore, we shall grant you wishes three. (Awkward silence...) Anna: You don’t get it, do you? Will: It’s all so easy to process. Robin: Genie, lamp, wishes. None of that ringing a bell? Anna: Ooh! How about we try it like this! (Zaps Abu and turns him into a one man band.) Robin: Hit it, Will. Will: 🎶 Well, Ali Baba had them forty thieves, while Scheherezad-ie had a thousand tales. (Kazoo) But, Master, you’re in luck, because up your sleeves, you’ve got three genies that never fail! 🎶 (Another awkward silence...) Anna: We definitely need to one up on this... Robin: We’re just joking! Will: Ok, ok. Let’s get this right. Robin: And, a one, and a two, and a one, two, three... All Genies: *WATCH THIS!* (After the mashup...) Aladdin: So, how does this go? Will: Seriously, dude? Anna: Our song was *THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!*
A bit more work on equalizing the voices (Will was generally noticeably lower than the rest) and this would have been perfect. Even so it's an amazing job, congrats.

I've listen to the version Will Smith did and it's pretty well set
Its not that. You can hear some of the background music in the other two but not Will's. That's because we are using the Live Action instrumentals.
