  • The veil has been lifted on a part of Samoa's archaeological history dating back 1500 years. It's known as the Palauli cultural heritage trail, and it's home to the very distinctive 'star mound'. Renee Iosefa visited the trail.

      That's not the only main purpose, because the Samoan Government doesn't have a stable archaeological department this project helps reserve these sites because people are just buying and settling on these lands without knowing what lies beneaths it. Archaeology isnt just about finding out about the past but by protecting it as well don't jump to conclusions

    • @mackthillalem7157
      @mackthillalem7157 4 года назад +6

      Protecting it is not the same as protecting it if you know what I mean... it depends on who it serves and the agenda of the Hidden hands
      How about the “pottery” artefacts found across the pacific already including in Samoa?? Where are they?
      Why is there no dialogue around the question- “WHY” is there a Pottery making culture that also has pyramids?
      How about our boat making culture??
      Sister - if you were thinking critically- then you’ll know that - our true culture had been destroyed and kept hidden a few hundred years ago at least And there is 100% an agenda to keep this hidden.
      This agenda swept the world - killing languages and cultures - using the “Divide and Conquer” method over and over again.
      HAMOA is only 1 part of that.

    • @mackthillalem7157
      @mackthillalem7157 4 года назад +6

      Even the common language that was spoken amongst all Polynesians has been corrupted through the jesuits.
      This happened in Australia to all the different cultures here, native Americans etc etc...
      The point is...
      no where in our music and stories do we mention boat making, pottery making, pyramids etc. so finding and knowing such things were part of the people of the island at one stage should get the people wanting to know why we have no records of this culture????
      The next question should be - how far back does our history go? and what happened to these people???
      During what dynasty did this happen???
      I’m assuming around 500 years ago
      What are your thoughts about these questions??

    • @susantuiloma4244
      @susantuiloma4244 4 года назад

      @@mackthillalem7157 do you really not know where the potteries are? I get your theory but however if you truly talked to the real people who has the real informations you'd know the true and real history of the culture and the point of hiding it is the problem. Do you know how people buy lands and just locate and build over these lands without knowing that there's history beneath it? Why do you think that is? Archaeological reasearch helps prevent this from happening with laws connecting with lands and people from destroying it permanently

      @@mackthillalem7157 if you really lived in a village life you'd know why some stories vary and are hidden unless you're a true blood. Because some stories tend to have secrets they're not shown to everyone except the real blood related but sworn to never ever go beyond their own borders.
      I lived and grew up in one of the most ancient villages in Samoa and I know what the real meaning of passing and telling stories. As you would've known there was a big difference in between before and after Christianity arrived to Samoa for example our language and traditions. Everything changed, and so did our stories.
      The question of how did our people have come to exist as Samoans? If you haven't known the full history of when and how the lapita pottery was found while building the wharf? archaeologists gathered as much proof as possible to prove the theories and they did. Their research showed that this specific type of pottery only existed within south east asia where it's now called Taiwan about thousands of years ago, not only that try comparing the Samoans to the taiwanese people youd see much similarites it's just that Samoans have changed much over the milleniums of years through the difference of change in everything they do. Also some people could mistake the filipino people as polynesians. If you'd understand archaeology it fully studies and also conquered advanced knowledge in Georgraphy and its aspects that shows just how they voyaged such a distance

    "PULE- MELE'I" There is no such word in our Samoan language, such as "pulemele'i", that is why there is so much confusion over this issue. I heard this land (where pulemele'i is located) was bought by the Nelsons, and with the arrival of the non polynesians. The native (Samoans) heard them talking about the word PIRA-MID and I believe that is where the word pulemele'i came from: PULE= PIRA and MID=MELEI we do it all the time if you come to our islands with your name JACK we will change it to SIAKI, JOHN will be IOAGE and MOSES will be MOSE. I myself hunted wild boars, and wild cattle, in the 60s and 70s from Palauli/Satupa'itea Hights to Sili, Gataivai toTaga and Sala'ilua also Mt Silisili. And during those hunting time in the island of Savaii, we will always come across these mound of rocks, but the base size is smaller than confusion pulemele'i, but about the same hight (as I was told by some of the elders, the purpose of the hight of the mound is to get near the treetops, so the "tagata seulupe" (pigeon catcher) will be closer to the birds we call these mounds "KIASEU" (or tiaseu) Smaller ones looks like they were built for 2 or may be 5 people. There are words and proverbs can be trace back to these KIASEU: "kiaseu o kamali'i" "sopo le maguvale i kiaseu" "aua le seukafili le ga'a" "la'u lupe fa'alele" "lupe o le foaga" "lupe o malumaugu" "vae efu" Le seuga a Lefaoseu o Upolu ma Ulumu o Savai'i na afua ai le "gakia i vao ae puaiga i le ala" and so much more proverbs and words As a Samoan it is an insult to have an ousider come in dig up dirt and tell me where I come from, and explain me about my culture and my ancestors NO NO we are rich in proverbs, songs, and words we can trace our own past kusa lava pe kala lasi Samoa leave it alone aua pe fananau mai isi tupulaga a'oa'oina i Iugivesike, e koe fo'i lava i Savai'i kalage o koeaiiga makukua mo faamaklaga sa'o E leai gi alagaupu, leai gi pese, po'o gi upu o faamakala ai se PIRA-PULE MID-MELE"I E le valea uma fo'i kamaiki Savai'i

They're trying to reserve these areas and sites because our own government are selling them off and settling new properties and buildings on our lands with any laws or policies to survey first before settlements. "House of the Octopus" a meeting place for the Matai (elders) usually built on high areas and or hard to get to areas. Also a lot of the mounds in Western Samoa are burial sites of warriors that fought the Tongans. It is said that the bodies of the warriors had their heads removed and that the heads were buried else were. Unfortunately a lot of churches are built on the top of the ancient mounds. Also to note that the Samoans were excellent at navigation and sailing. They made almost everything from Flax ( boat sails, clothes, baskets, mats, roofing...). Side note: Unfortunately today most of the inner reef coral and sea life is dissapearing due to the lack of proper waste water infrastructure. Raw sewage and waste water from the resorts/hotels...run off from pig pens and roads is contributing to the destruction of the inner reef biodiversity. The best thing that happened to Samoa was the Peace core that was initiated by John F. Kennedy.

I never heard of Mu or any ancient teachings before this dream, the old me was in survival mode. Born in Hawaii from military family we left for the mainland when I was very little. Raised in western culture, scarcity and limited beliefs. My mother born in 1948 during the “reprogramming era”.. she still carried intense amt of shame for who she was, the languages across the island still banned, missionary influences underway. Later in my life I became severely ill with lymes & then progressing to Parkinson’s disease, nothing worked to cure it. Went to the best hospital in the world (Mayo) and it seemed hopeless. internet searching for healing remedies one day when I stumbled upon a Dr. Kling(hart) healing plant 🌱 early stage trials.. I decided to try it on myself. Completely unaware my grandmother dabbled in plant spirit medicine healing..suddenly my dreams started “feeling” real. I now understand this as astral travel.. my dna shows Rapa Nui and Austronesian..amongst many other pacific regions. In the dream I was leaving an island.. I could see destruction, telepathically seeing catastrophic event on the ground/planet, doomed to be destroyed. My daughter and I along w/few others got inside, what I know now as “vimanna” this was last time we would be here.. I was sadden..seeing the craft interior invisible..from outside it was not.. looked like crystal material. This image originally lead me to- 60s tv show- I dream of genie 🧞‍♀️ I searched ufo…then found a craft that was most accurate to the dream until I saw a vimana on internet …more dreams that followed… swimming breathing traveling under water where giant buildings appeared. 1/2 snake beings Nagas?? Places similar to Dubai, but under water. Many stories of our cultures beginnings align with all my astral travels. I have become inspired by this realization, complete healing, ability to instantly leave “addictive meds” via God, 🌱 friends…which led me to create a channel. 100% believe I was seeing my Akashic record. My illness now cured… I know we all have access to pure Divine energy of Mother Earth, God’s gifted light and healing at any stage in life according to what I’ve experienced. Finding Morrnah Simeonas prophet/teacher/ healer.. which I have been sharing .. my personal experience is exactly as she and Greek teacher Daskalos describe it..I am forever grateful for them and the illness that awakened my heart & truth of who we really are.❤️ Sorry for the longest response😜

      Dr Leasiolagi Malama Meleisea is well versed in Samoa's history. The word Melei (as in Pule Melei mound), is the short form of the name Meleisea. These names are markers of where some of our people migrated from. We have names such as Tagaloa, Filipaina, Tonumailau, Lautafi, Tofilau, Fiti and Meleisea etc. This shows how far and wide where we have come from. Fa'afetai lava.

One of the mounds we found had a huge boulder in the middle which made me think it could've actually been for worshiping but as we listened to the stories told by some of the village chiefs, some said it was for Dove snaring some say it's for worshiping. In my case i kind of believed it was for worshiping, because there had to be a reason why they were shaped like a star instead of something else. But these are not only found in Samoa only but also in American Samoa which makes me question that theory and not only that, the biggest history of Archaeological reasearches from this is the "Pulemele'i" located in Vailoa Palauli and huge earth mound shaped like a pyramid and its interesting because when we were looking from the lidar many start mounds are located close to the pulemele'i or surrounding and scattered around it which is still a question as well. The walled walkways, looks simply as ancient roadways and delineating property lines between villages/families. The thermal and infrared imagery as well as Catscanning technology has given a greater glimpse in the substructure of the landforms, also giving Archeologists, ethnologists, and cultural historians, a rare glimpse into the past helping piece together the jigsaw puzzle cosmological past of the Samoans and connecting us with the Austronesian speakers and Polynesian Pioneers who arrived in Samoa over three millennia ago.
