Correction: JFK was assasinated on 11/22/1963
Ever since the United States rejected hereditary Monarchy, Americans have had a fascination with political dynasties. The Adamses, the Roosevelts, and the Bushes have all become pseudo-royal families with multiple generations in high office. But no clan has embodied this more than the Kennedys. They achieved the American dream, going from penniless Irish immigrants to millionaires and world leaders in 3 generations. But their success has come at a high price. Two assassinations, four plane crashes, a failed lobotomy and numerous other tragedies have haunted this American dynasty. Everyone knows JFK, Jackie and RFK. But today we’ll meet all the Kennedy, explore their fascinating connections to Hollywood stars and European aristocrats, and the many tragedies which have lead to the idea of a Kennedy curse.

It's not really curses, but bad luck and that's what's more frightening than a curse. You can make and even control a curse, but luck? Not a chance.
So it's understandable people get uneasy around the Kennedys: no one in the family is going out of their way to cause harm, but the fact is it just happens with them more often than it does the average person.

@@arianna5270 It’s well documented that Rosemary was “held in” the birth canal to wait for the doctor to arrive. Clearly she would have had some mental impairment from this. Ever since then she had some prominent cognitive and behavioral issues that were seen as early as when she was a baby/toddler and she was not hitting some key milestones at the average rate and time frame. She then had seizures and mood swings which is what led her father to have her lobotomized because that’s what he thought would work to make her feel better.
Also her other sisters were sexually active and had boyfriends and nothing seemed to happen to them. Eunice, Patrica and Kathleen all come to mind.

@here_we_go_again2571 rose was not a perfect mother. She disowned her daughter Kathleen "Kick" (a young ww2 widow) after she remarried a divorcee. Kick didn't want to live her entire life as a widow and married for love. Rose refused to see her child. When Kick and her husband were killed in a plane wreck, she refused to go to the funeral and tried to keep Joe from going by claiming that she was sick. Kick was the daughter he was the closest to and was the only one to be at her burial.
Rose had horrendous body image issues and even had Rosemary hospitalized multiple times so she would lose 10 pounds before a press tour. After her and Rosemary were united after decades apart, one if the first things Rose did was tell the nuns to put Rosemary on a strict diet (they refused). When she first saw her mother, she was even violent and didn't want to see her.
Rose was a very intelligent woman and did a lot for the poor. She was also very petty and was jealous of her daughters for getting the education and freedom she was never able to have. They were both complex people who made horrendous mistakes that would cost them relationships with their children.

Yes, and the next big thing we’ll deeply regret as a society is the deliberate chopping off of healthy breasts and genitals from CHILDREN!! Plus, legally sterilizing our children by giving them puberty blockers and opposite sex hormones before they even become adults and have adult, mature feelings and judgement!! And all this, with little to no counseling or guidance or alternatives, or even simply waiting!!
All to please the LBGTQIA-RSTUVWXYZ community!! 😮😢
Kids are paying for all this with lost body parts, inferior replacement body parts, plus resulting lack of self-esteem and confidence and their abilities as natural citizens to be taken from them, plus duped parents and suicidal children as a result of all this failure!!
How could we be so in the dark in this day and age and think THIS is the best we could do for our precious CHILDREN!!
This is much WORSE than a lobotomy!!!!
I wish we could wake up from being woke!!!

I read a theory somewhere that Rosemary Kennedy was actually more intelligent than surmised. Scholars who support this theory point out to her diary entries, which imply that she was bright, a quick thinker and capable of complex thoughts. Also, her temper tantrums read less like a danger and more like a person frustrated with the expectations put upon them.
The issue that Joe Sr had was that she wasn't as smart as her siblings (who were overachievers, ambitious and dreamers). It also didn't help that she (as the oldest girl) didn't immediately take after her mother (the embodiment of a faithful, patient and adoring woman). As the oldest daughter, it was up to her to help look after her younger siblings, thus preparing her for marriage and motherhood. She was okay with doing that...but she wanted to be a socialite and do things that her siblings were doing.
It was that she didn't fit the mold expected of her and her "smart but not as smart" intelligence that led Joe Sr to consult Freeman.

I'd say the family is plagued by Generational trauma I suspect starting with the great grandfather PJ who was clearly an alcoholic and escaping his own traumas. But the real recent trauma starts with Joseph P Kennedy 'a real chip off the block' and the way he treated his wife and children.
This I think explains the addictions and challenges the Kennedy's have faced and sometimes with devastating consequences.

I am an Aussie with Kennedy obsession. I have over 100 books now. I went on a tour when visiting Boston many years ago and they pointed out the Kennedy homes around Boston. That started my quest to see every Kennedy home still standing, I finished in February 2020 by going to see The Kennedy Winter White House at North Ocean Blvd on Palm Beach. It has since been demolished. Took me 16 years and MANY trips! I have now been to every Vanderbilt home still standing...I finished that quest in Biltmore, North Carolina. What I remember most was the funeral - the horse drawn carriage with a draped US flag, Jackie, John John and Caroline standing at the gravesite, and little John John saluting. The death of JFK Jr. is emblematic of the thoughtlessness and recklessness of this family. Unlike his uncles and father, he wasn’t a degenerate, but he gave no thought to the safety of his wife, sister-in-law, and the airline he could have collided with. It’s a part of this family’s ambition and entitlement.

Oh the recent book written by a huge Trumper Republican who says she “took license” in her book? now if she truly cared about women as she claims she does, why support Trump and never call him out on his behavior towards women? oh because she doesn't actually care about women. She's a right winger who doesn't like Democrats or their families.
Her sources in this so called book include The National Enquirer, journalist-ragpickers like Kitty Kelley and a rotating crew of ax-grinders, including a low-level Senate aide whose claims of rampant cocaine abuse fell apart pretty quickly under scrutiny. There’s so many other better books and better sources than this. Also she literally says nothing new.
Anyways maybe pass on this “author” who claims she’s fighting for women yet writes for the Daily Mail and goes on Fox News to do interviews.

Sometimes in these situations you can’t help but wonder what would’ve been like had JFK jr lived and would he had followed in his father’s footsteps and Jackie would’ve been beyond devastated had she had to endure losing jfk jr in the plane crush had she would’ve been still alive at that time, and Bobby would’ve continued his work, you can’t help but wonder about those things.
Do i feel that there may be a curse? With the amount of tragedies and scandal this family endured, one may believe so.
