that intro, when you grappled the tangle that crashed into the shrieker followed by the melee, ok, THAT, was pure skill.
Stuff like that is why I like strand so much, Grapple and Tangles are such a fun combo LOL

Yep, those sort of plays are why I'm finding it hard to put down strand if the content will allow it. It is frustrating to go from strand mobility to anything else.
I love grappling to a tangle throwing the tangle at a target and hitching a ride to follow up the destruction. It is just so much fun to fly around the battle field.

Elatic Principle might also be on the list so that people can complete the Season of the Witch weapon-repated triumphs. I had mine equipped for a while only for this reason

I’ve pretty much only used Quicksilver as my exotic this season. It’s so good and strand with whirlwind is my favorite build this season by far. That machine gun at 14 is used for a lot of challenges this season.

I think a contributing factor to Witherhoard not being as popular is the increase in really good specials in the Kinetic slot. The Supremacy with Rewind Rounds + Kinetic Tremors. The new world drop Strand Fusion Rifle. The Strand Shotgun from last season. Etc. Witherhoard and Riptide still the best at the moment, but they’re no longer essentially the only good options.
The Vex ornament for Sunshot is killer but the other two are likewise exquisite.
Eleatic is the first rapid fire since retrofit escapade to have target lock. People are using it as a placeholder until they can craft a retrofit
The double special nerf killed Witherhoard for me. I haven’t used it this season, maybe once and that’s it. Same with Arbalest, I use Wish Ender now. Hopefully it too gets it’s Archer’s Tempo Catalyst 🤞
Legit Witherhoard and Arbalest would never and I mean NEVER leave my inventory, now they never leave the vault… 😂
I’d blame the lower use of forbearance and witherhord on the special ammo changes. Those were the two weapons you’d use as a primary for ad clear, and with the changes, it’s a lot more valuable to use a primary like sunshot to fill the same roll and make heavy ammo with finders.
I still use forbearance, but that's not my primary.
It's Verglas in Normal to Legendary content and Wicked in Master and GM content with Forbearance only being used for ad dense areas.
Even still, I prefer my Loaded Question with Envious and Controlled Burst.

Quicksilver is definitely exquisite and im glad people are finally liking it. Got my first "we ran" with it so it will always be my favorite AR
The Eremite is lit, but Loaded Question has my heart right now. I have an adept version of it so I can just slap on adept big ones so it can do both. The high impact frames have really won me over after being a hardcore rapid fire guy.
As for Quick Silver and Wish Ender, it really just depends on the range I’m working at. Because both bring some real firepower to the table for AB set ups, and my general endgame loadout lets me do work without over extending myself too much.

On an arc Titan I do very well, and I’m not as active this year as I was last year.
Not sure how I got to the point where I’m just sharing this stuff, but I just wanted to share my own favored loadout I guess lol.

What an EXQUISITE presentation of the most popular weapons. No real surprises. Expecting to see a few Crota weapons to rise up next season. For furure versions of this series, it would be cool to cover the weapons that fell out of the top list and your thoughts on why.
These types of videos are nearly always exquisitly crafted, and are quite suprising and helpful for recognizing seasonal meta changes.
Why isn't anyone else running it with reservoir burst?? You can get 8 rounds easy with it and it SHREDS ads and still can do some nasty boss damage but I usually find I don't need it for bosses when using a solid heavy. Also for anyone else running strand titan kept confidence with loose change/puglist is amazing. Always have you melee charge and use the mod so melee kills give unraveling makes then hand cannon shred while giving your melee back and gets super fast reload since unraveling is a debuff it's better them Monte Carlo imo

I used to run Monte all the time when melting point was a solid debuff option... oh lord we've been playing this game so long.
Forbearance is 100% used less because its so good it makes the game boring and people want loadout variety
double special nerf is a much larger factor.

I've been using quicksilver in place of wish ender any time we have anti barrier auto on the artifact, it's an absolute monster of a weapon in high end content.

I don’t think that the Chill Clip nerf really hurt Riptide, it shoots fast enough that an extra shot to freeze an unstop isn’t a big deal. Really hurt other options though, like Aurvandil and Deliverance. It especially cratered my baby Lingering Dread though, it’s just not feasible to hit an unstop 3 times in a GM. Add that to how hard it can be to direct impact a teleporting overload, and I haven’t even equipped it since the nerf

While I have all 3 of those stasis fusions, my favorite is Deliverance cuz Demo Chill Clip was too strong. Sooo much grenade energy especially for a bleak watcher build. But the chill clip nerf hurt a lot.
I also wanted a Chill Clip Lingering Dread for a very long while but post nerf it’s not worth it anymore. The novelty of it being a freezing blinding GL died with the nerf, I have plenty of Blinding GLs in the kinetic slot that I don’t wanna chase for one.
Eleatic Principle is rather inflated due to Overload Rounds + Target Lock + Ease of obtaining + crafting + Song of Ir Yut is the only other Arc Machine you can obtain. The 360 Arc Machine Gun from Spire of the Watcher is off-putting to people, which exacerbates that sore spot.
Joe Blackburn said on stream that Wish Ender was "balanced" so it may not be touched for a while.
While it wasn’t crafted, my very first seasonal weapon drop from the ‘Way of the Witch’ intro was an Envious, Controlled Eremite. Got the god roll right off the bat.
Eremite on my solar warlock is a staple now. I never thought high impact fusion would be good but it does great damage to champions and bosses and I don't have to worry about reloading it
I'd put off doing the wishender quest for... well I guess years at this point, but I soloed it over the weekend. Not sure why I didn't do it sooner. Definitely enjoying it in the primary slot for my 1-2 punch shotgun melee builds on Titan and Hunter.
Most likely the best primary weapon in the game for high end stuff like GMs as well, it’s the only primary weapon that will one shot all trash mobs no problem. Add that to the infinite range and anti-barrier, and there’s hardly ever an actual reason to use something else

Wishender is a great weapon and should be the best weapon as its not an easy quest to get and the dungeon is awesome.

I don’t I’ll ever get sick of wish ender. I mainly hold it in my inventory for high end content like GMs or legend/master lost sectors, etc. It pairs very well with strand by making the strand needles pop out and do damage.
Forbearance/Witherhoard are amazing weapons, GOATs, but just like you, I havent used either more than a few times this season(mostly during day 1 crota). I'll always have them on me & go back to them when needed, but just feel like it's time for new things and change.
As for Riptide, tbh I really wish they never made it. I love rapid fire fusions, one of my favorites archetypes, but I was one who crafted Deliverance as one of my 1st VoW weps(got god roll forbearance day 1 so held off on it and made enh demo/chill clip Deliverance). If Riptide was never a thing, they wouldve left chill clip as it is, and it feels perfect/balanced and just right on Deliverance, Riptidd ruined it.
I’m using #14 for the seasonal challenges and the seasonal title
Quicksilver and Retrofit are by far my most used weapons. Energy slot I'd love Sunshot but hard to unequip Quicksilver.
Chill clip is really just a nice utility. Riptide is good without it in general because it's a rapid fusion. It's good in endgame because it's a good weapon that also has utility regarding champions.
"Spicy handcannon buff" = Awesome ornament for BD ( for me at least)
I need a replacement for wish ender bow. My fingers hurt from loading it so much in grandmasters. I’m on controller, anyone know if I can swap the shooting button on the controller on PC?
Also retrofit is in banshee this week so it’s rly easily obtainable and u can use deep sight harmonisers on it

I can personally say I haven't even touched my Riptide since the nerf to chill clip. It just feels bad to have to use almost half the mag just to get a freeze
@demonjoe i think you're sleeping on Monte Carlo's new catalyst.. i thought the same at 1st and it took time to get use to it, but you can stock the melee once you hit 5 stacks. You dont have to use it immediately, can still use the wep as normal and switch between weps as well. Then when ready or need that burst damage, go for it, it does GREAT damage, esp on Banner Titan but really on all classes & if you get the kill you can continously pocket the catalyst melee perpetually. Its not for everyone but just saying, i was of similar mind, gave it some time and actually ended up enjoying it.
I’ve been telling my friends since day 1 of wish ended getting anti barrier that’s it’s just better than arbalest, and they didn’t believe me until everyone started praising it. Thank you Joe for vindicating me.

Don't forget that Forbearance also heals you, Powercreep the gun
I love how they nerfed Starfire and give Titans a banner that makes them unkillable, gives buffs and insane damage.
What was the black/blue shader you had on Commemoration?!
I think that the nerf/fix to doble special explains the position of Witherhoard and Foreberance

The machine gun is probably just to do the stupid “kill things with seasonal things” task.
It might be the case that people are using it because of that one Seasonal Challenge that requires you to complete the seasonal activities with seasonal weapons. Equipping 3 seasonal weapons accelerates the progress for the challenge, so maybe that’s it. I also think Eleatic Principle is trash.
LMG is probably high use because it's the best weapons to get the triumph 'seasonal weapon defeats' with
If you need to do a lost sector you've never done before. With a class you don't play often. Wishender is your friend. Its amazing how easy it made farming out those last few exotic armors I had needed.

Thunder Lord is great... as a Arc hunter main its always in my arsenal

Duskfields, Duskfields everywhere. But seriously, kinda pointless for me being a Stasis Hunter main, I just rather handle all three champs and still use whatever weapons I want.
Good fusion for every other subclass.
In the first Iron Banner this season, Witherhoard was OP for its ability to win 1v1 duals like a Fusion Rifle. Not even Hunter dodge could escape. Then I discovered the one trick that completely subverts players who are overconfident to 1v1 you with it.
Just jump. You’ll be off the ground before the AoE takes effect, and it often takes them by surprise. If they’re using a Fusion Rifle, jumping makes you a turkey shoot but dodging sideways will counter it.
Stay mobile Hunter mains.

Wish ender is high cause every GM has barrier champs, i don't even know if I've ever seen an overload/unstoppable GM.

Honestly just used that lmg to knock out multiple things on the season challenges.
A very very very small defense for Eleatic Principle, lol...For the most part the general opinion on it being low tier is absolutely well founded. It's perk pool is FAR from anything you'd call exquisite. However...as one that used it a TON in week 1 & maybe 2 of this season...I'd say that I thought it just straight up FELT good to shoot. Especially for a 900rpm. Again the perks do the gun no favors whatsoever...but for a brief time where my arc options were limited, this thing felt super fun to shoot for me personally. I knew it was bad...& I didn't really care, lol.
Now with that being said...once I got me a song of ir yut with reconstruction/target lock...I've never once picked the poor guy up ever again, lol.
Eleatic principle is okay. The reason I don't hate is because it's feels like one of the only usable rapid fire lmgs due to super terrible recoil. The eleatic principle handles decently even when holding down the trigger.
Btw Rufus Fury is better with rewind rounds as a principal ammo weapon
Surprised Tractor Cannon isn't here. You don't even need to have a build around it, just boop one champion and a Banner of War Titan will materialize in front of you and will proceed to revoke their right to exist.
Retrofit Escapade randomly came to the top because the gunsmith sold an absolute god roll with FTTC and target lock.

Witherhoard was always in my primary slot until I did lfg where some randoms would leave the raid if they couldn't use witherhoard. Honestly, my builds have gotten better without using witherhoard as a cruch

Just to add le monarque is the strongest deadly bow in the game it has been since born it's not niche like wish ender it just kills everything 👍
I happen to like Eleatic Principle. 115(?) in a mag makes it good in my arc build. You hating it makes it that little more better.
It’s one of the worse Arc MGs in the game, the one from Crota’s End is the best one if you’d like to use an actual good weapon

Wishender is straight up broken. breaking elemental shields more effectively, breaking barriers, bypassing invincible physical shields held by all races, with unlimited ammo, i always thought this is above arbalest.

Riptide is still amazing becuase overload stun is so inconsistent. Double anti champion is still quite powertufl.
I would use sunshot so much more if it had a good ornament I actually hate the look of the balls of sunshot
Also hard disagree for wither being shadowkeep's best contribution. That title belongs to Leviathan's Breath. Leviathan outputs serious damage and DPS compared to other high heavy options. It's comparable if not the SAME to a recon + BNS Apex Predator with Boss Spec
