Finally a video that isn’t a short that actually explains who she is. This is the best video about her out there instantly.
You new to variant? You're gonna love it here. It's always like this
Nah I’ve been here for years
Casually Comics also does a great job at explaining origins and giving full context as well unlike a lot of channels and short videos
She’s a pretty thorough gal
Merrymarvelite does a pretty good job too and Sage is excellent.
Man y’all still my favorite all time marvel/dc source of info! After so many year!
At least more than 1 year!
Wow! Thanks for the love!
What if Cassandra came from the Logan movie verse and she’s the reason why everything went to hell👀👀
She might be from this Wolverine’s universe
Nah logans universe was ruined because he was tricked by sinister into killing his friends I believe
@@IronMikeDyson1979 Could be two reasons-that, or Xavier's dementia. I favour the latter, because Logan would be more devastated if he murdered everyone he cared about. I think it's just Xavier's crippling mentality that gave way to the world's death.
No, I rewatch the movie and mutants died because 1) Professor X had amnesia causing a tragedy, killing all his students and 2) human create a chemical in foods that surpress the mutants genes causing less mutants to be born
@@markhenzel4637 He had Alzeihmers due to old age, and it's alluded to him killing some of his students, and that era's X-Men. This then was a final straw for the government to greenlight a cure in corn reserves to destroy mutant lineages. However, it is also noted that there are mutants still alive in the present day that are all apart of the Eden Protocol. This is also alluding to possibly another prominent figure in the X-Men mythos being it's figurehead. Maybe someone we have not seen in the films, or maybe an agency like Alpha Flight that, in the Days Of Future Past prequel, details that Alpha Flight was a resistance force against mutant oppression and the sentinel services.
There is no basis on the latter services, but I assure you, it's maybe something to think about.
We don't know if mutants are extinct, because it's also possible that they may have migrated to the island of either Genosha or Krakoa, as we do not know the situation of Magneto or his Brotherhood.
Think about it-why would Logan want to purchase a Sunseeker? It's a boat that could take them to Genosha without having to let others discover the wheareabouts of the remaining mutant population.
Cassandra Nova is one of my top 5 X-Men villains.
1. Apocalypse
2. Cassandra Nova
3. Mr. Sinister
4. Bastion
5. Nimrod
Apocalypse is more of an anti-hero now, though historically, he's been the most powerful and dangerous XMen villain
Well krakoa is ending
@@vikingfromnorth45 no thanks to number 5 targeting the Omega-level mutants after crashing the 3rd Hellfire Gala.. Thank heavens my baby boy Iceman survived the attack, albeit unable to maintain a corporeal form for extended periods of time without help from his Inhuman boyfriend Romeo
Is she as bad as Onslaught?
@@quentinfogger5755 Worst, but nowhere near close to Onslaught's level. But she's ruthless and cunning.
Her origin is so weird it fits in perfectly with a Deadpool movie.
I'm guessing that they will simplify her background and just make her a variant of Xavier from another universe. But I suppose we'll see.
Mummudrai, aka evil twin spirit in Shi'Ar lore
I needed this!
I miss the weekly podcast episodes😭. When will we get them back. There’s so much to talk about. Cmon Variant !
Thanks for the love! We will be explaining the absence of the podcast and other things in an upcoming video on both channels. 😎
Thanks, this is super helpful
Not gonna lie, Professor X, Cassandra Nova and Juggernaut... that's like a sitcom superhero family.
Don't forget Legion
Grant Morrison truly is one of the greats. Frank Quitely's art is just.... *chef kiss.
I hope Deadpool 3 revives the podcast
It won't this place is bad
We will be explaining the absence of the podcast and other things in an upcoming video on both channels. Thanks for hanging in there with us.
I never knew yzma was this over powered.
Cassandra's erasure still got nothing on Galactus's Ultimate Nullifier. But that's still no small feat. Hopefully, she'll never get that weapon.
Got to say, Aeris, your recap of part of the DCeased got me wondering, think you can do the same for past comic arcs from DC and Marvel, like, say, Age of Apocalypse or the Infinity Gauntlet story?
This was sweet.
Speaking of villains like Master Mold, Are you going to do history of Master Mold?
I never get how telepathy or telekinesis and these other psyonic types of powers allow some to create a physical form and other things. It is like differing levels of telekinesis, like regular telekinesis to move things, and then matter manipulation, which is like telekinesis on steroids where one can change forms of matter and other things with telekinesis, and then finally there is reality warping like Franklin Richards or Beyonders how they can just think things ad it will become reality or rewrite time and space itself or change things or whatever. I don't like the concept of how beings like Cassandra Nova and Onslaught just make physical forms for themselves like they are reality warping when they aren't are that power gage. With Onslaught, if he had infiltrated Reed Richard's mind and took him over and used his reality warping power to make a physical body for himself, then that would make sense, but the way that he just is like that and manifest himself into existence in a physical form, I wasn't a fan of that. Along with Cassandra Nova, these characters have reality warping feats without being reality warpers (Onslaught was a reality warper when he absorbed Franklin Richard's powers, but I mean before he even had the powers of Franklin Richards and Nathaniel Summers and others that he has absorbed, because he was just a psyonic being having the powers of Charles Xavier and Magnito and he was still able to manifest himself a physical body). I would like it better if these characters were just called reality warpers and left it at that, which is why they can do anything.
If Cassandra Nova has this DNA taking or replicating ability or DNA manipulation or whatever it was, does that mean that she can go around and take DNA from everyone, specifically every mutant, and just have everyone's powers and become effectively a "god" ? Or say if he takes Franklin Richard's DNA as well ? Or magical beings ? Or can she do that with aliens or anyone else ? How dangerous could she become ?
Emma frost being cold👌🏽
Thanks Variant, Now I will try to explain this one if we watch Deadpool and Wolverine movie with my mom.
Didnt know who this character was and glad I watched this. After this Im assuming this is gonna be a great villain for what I'm assuming they are trying to do in D&W
I want more Astonishing Times!
I loved that Grant Morrisson run on X-men!
The names Cassandra "Xavier's twin sister killed in the womb" Nova mon ami, remember it
Not sure if you've done this in the past but perhaps you can do an episode of the top 10 characters in marvel who have a better healing factor than wolverine
Finally people pointing out that CAS tried to kill x first
Could you do a history of magneto, please 🙏?
They’d blink and we’d be gone - Kevin Levin
Awesome Ben 10 reference. 👍
Charles "The Shark" Xavier.
I like Casandra Nova looks like both the people who created her
Nice
Nice.
I seen that movie too.👍
Can you do the history of magneto, gambit, judge dredd, Cassie hack, qwenpool, hit monkey, vamperrella, moon girl & devil dinosaur and league of extraordinary gentlemen please
Crazy theory but check this. The last episode of this season (or maybe next. Closer to DP/Wolvie) of X-Men 97 Cassandra Nova is revealed as the big bad. They beat her and in the post credits the TVA show up with Paradox and send her to the Void. Sometime before the events of DP/Wolverine.
I was thinking the same thing. 97 has eerily similar events happening that would suggest Cassandra Nova. Also 97 is going to end before the release of DP/Wolverine. Seems very convenient. Huge miss if they don’t connect.
Feel like every single villain in Marvel are just clones of one another with OP powers that have no proper scaling
Cassandra nova looks younger in the trailer
Can you do history of the villains of the Stargirl TV show like Mr_Bones, Dragon king, Brainwave and Icicle? When are you going to do history of the Flash Villains Mirror Master and Top since the second half of season 6 of the Flash has finished?
Can you do history of the Atom, Major_Force, Captain Atom, Plastique, the Blackhawks, Rocket Red Brigade, Maxima, El-Dorado, Element Woman, Metamorpho, Mr Terrific and Plastic Man along with the history of the Villains Dr Alchemy and Abracadabra?
I'm guessing this Cassandra is one of two things: 1) She's from this Wolverine's universe (which might or might not be the animated universe) and is responsible for killing all the mutants, which wasn't suppose to happen so she was pruned, or 2) she's a variant of Professor X that shouldn't exist, and was also pruned. Either way, she's too strong to just die and too smart to die in the Void.
Please do a history of Gladiator episode
Can you do history of Alfred Pennyworth, Batwing, Flame Bird, Batwoman, Azrael, Signal(Duke Thomas), Bluebird, Stephanie Brown and Carrie Kelly?
Do a history of Gambit episode
I agree. I don't claim her either.😊
Was only an avengers and fantastic 4 fan…I never liked any of the Xmen or dead pool movies…now I guess I have to follow it to understand the next few years of the MCU
6:43
Ayo thats f ing yujiro hanma, the booty warriors!!! 😂
Since you did the origin of Sonic the Hedgehog characters Tails and Knuckles in your previous video, when are you going to do history of Sonic the Hedgehog himself?
When are you going to do history of JSA member Cyclone along with DC Sabbac since he's the main Villain of the Black_Adam movie?
I had no ideas that such a character like this was around. I wondered why she was giving me Professor x vibes in the trailer. Now i know.
😮
I'm wondering if they may pay the no more mutants a bit of tribute in Deadpool. Like she comes from a world that had that storyline but rather than go out of existence went to the void and have been trapped there and now has figured a way of traveling multiverses
WHAT A INCREDIBLE VILLAIN FOR X MEN!
Since you did the history of Conrad Carapax, Are you going to do history of OMAC, Overthrow, Dr Polaris, Posse and the Brotherhood of Evil who are all Blue_Beetle villains without a Scarab?
Can you please do origin of DC the Reach who are the aliens who created the Scarab of the Blue_Beetle since no one else has done an origin video of them?
Since you did the comic book origin Dan Garett, Ted Kord and Jamie Reyes the Blue Beetle, can you do comic book origin of DC Black_Beetle, Red Beetle, Green Beetle, Yellow Beetle and the Silver_Scarab?
Plz make a video about attack on Titan as I would love to see what you think about it and thanks for the content 👍🏻
So, does her being the embodiment of Charles' dark side effectively make her a lesser version of Onslaught?
I'd like to see a "History of" episode of Professor X.
What is that over Charles body? I read the comic. I don't recall them explaining what that is.
OP
I first thought she was a variant of MCU The Ancient One when I saw the trailer.
Why is Charles Xavier's Mummudrai blue with pointy ears? And looks similar to Pazuzu's green face in 1973 Exorcist?
I read about her in the e for extinction x men story
3:38 anybody else catch the “Nette: She-mail”?
Could you do a history of gambit, please 🙏?
Coming soon. 😎🤘
@@variant nice! Thank you so much 🙏.
And here I thought she was a young ancient one in the trailer
No-one ever bothers to ask _”How_ is Cassandra Nova?”
She is an weaker or Maybe equal and crazier version of onslaught
Onslaught vs Cassandra Nova
I wonder who is stronger
Can you please do a history of scorpion from spiderman
Man did a cassandra nova video in a spiderman shirt
Variant never disappoints 😎
Can someone help me out here? Am I gonna have to watch the new X-Men '97 prior to watching Deadpool 3 (when it comes out), to understand some things? Or is X-Men just its own thing and wont have any ties to DP3?
X-Men 97 is a continuation of the 92 animated series. You don’t have to watch it (even though you should because it’s awesome) to watch Deadpool. Everything is tied together because of the multiverse in Marvel now, including the comics but…the different universes aren’t tied together story wise.
@@seaberry11 excellent, thank you!
New onslaught
I definitely thought she was the bald lady from Doctor Strange
U know she's powerful when he names telekinesis twice 😂😂😂
I wish Arcade or Omega red was the villain or villains in this movie.
This begs my question...was the Neanderthal a planet wide species or was it more central to a specific area, continent or continents?
So she's omega level mutant
I think mcu version will be diluted version
100%
History of Gambit?!! You guys asked. Please and thank you.
Shawty Fire 🔥
When are you going to do history of Marvel's Sandman and Kurt Conners the Lizard since they made a live action comeback in Spider-Man No Way Home along with the Elementals who were mentioned in Spider-Man Far From Home?
I would love to see a Exodus episode, just because
I think Deadpool and wolverine is the only comic book film of the year.
if you mean the only comic book coming out it aint
It's amazing how broken this characters are in the comics😂💀
Between Batman’s sons, who’d win, Terry or Damien?
Let's just hope this gril boss Mary Sue doesnt ruin the movie
Besides Nimrod, Graydon and Sinister, Nova may be the most irredeemable villian in the Marvel universe.
God, it's like Stewie and his twin
What do you think is the best thing about Cassandra Nova in the comics? Which one of her powers and abilities do you think is the best?
I feel they might portray her character better in the film than the comics cuz I’m not a fan of the comic version
Frank Quietly
What makes Cassandra Nova powerful, unique and different from Professor Charles Xavier?
What a convoluted, childish and wildly overpowered character! Thanks a lot Grant Morrison….
Bring gambit back
What would have happened if we saw Cassandra Nova in all the X-Men Animated Shows? What would have happened if she appeared in the X-Men First Class movie?
Cassandra Nova is a B level character. It's fitting that she's in a Deadpool movie w/ Wolverine rather than as a baddie in a big superhero team up movie.
What do you think Cassandra Nova is going to be like in the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine movie? Do you think we will see Master Mold and Nimrod alongside her in this movie?
Neanderthals were similar to modern humans to interbreed
Womb fighting is crazy.
Has potential to be a bigger threat than Apocalypse and Thanos but too little storytelling to back her
I thought she was the girl that helped dr strange because she’s bald lmao 😂 🤣
It’s wraith from apex?!!!
Judging by this..... I hope shes not just a one movie villian.
