The scenery and fishing is only matched by your effort to get there. Epic. Have a good new year and good luck for your adventures in 2025 mate. Cheers.
great session, great photography, thoroughly enjoyable and really jealous. great stuff. Thankyou for a great year now looking forward to the next. Have a great new year, all the best. cheers,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Great session, lovely quality of fish too. I think that mark is one of the very best on Skye. I have only fished it from the kayak, as the topography is brutal as you discovered. When I was in the kayak most of the fish came when I was a close to the rocks as possible. Merry Christmas, Nathan, looking forward to your 2025 adventures!
My first time fishing in that area and it didn't disappoint. Interestingly enough, apart from the big one I got on the way back in, we were way more successful from the shore than the kayak. Thanks as always, David, and tight lines for 2025
Outstanding video. Thanks for sharing your adventure. It’s a long way up like, by Skye is amazing. Can’t wait to see what 2025 brings for you. Happy New Year!
Geez nath your keen lad, thankfully for us lot lol, love all the content but these are epic, merry Xmas to you and yours and all the best to you and the channel for 2025
Was cracking getting back on a trip with you! That first day was some adventure, and the second was some of the wildest weather I've fished in. Great fishing and better company! Have a good christmas, and I'll see you in the new year for more fishing. Orkney again? Its got to be..... I need that double
It's been too long mate! Felt great to put some hard effort in and have a good laugh at the same time! Definitely need to get back up the road, will be mint to see you pull those well deserved doubles in. Merry christmas and tight lines for 2025👍🎣
Great adventure, amazing to have a mate that will travel far and meet you. I have a week off from Xmas day here in Cornwall and will be doing similar but sleeping in my van. Great fish thier you had . Tight lines and have a great Xmas boys
Love Skye and around that area, Some cracking fish caught as well just a pity about the weather. Have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year looking forward to your adventures next year.
What a beautiful place to fish and lovely fish .I wish I had fish like that off the shore where I am from eastsussex not seen good fish like that for years from here
It is a tremendous place to fish, one of the best in the UK IMO, but at least you have some bass to pull in down your way. Tight lines and all the best for 2025
It's a very similar style of fishing to some of the venuse I've been to in North Wales and Pembs, just a bit closer to me. Tight lines for 2025 and merry Christmas
Hi there, I am really enjoying working my way through your videos and find them very motivational 👌 I have a quick question what make & model is your telescopic landing net. Cheers and keep up the great content 👍
just got to love those close in bites and they pull hard, the weather sucked for you both but its only a matter of time before it all falls into place.
The shock factor is great fun too. Aye, the weather gods seem to hate the weekends at the moment- great weather while I'm at work then weather warnings every weekend! Merry christmas and tight lines for 2025!
Great session with plenty of well deserved fish for a tough journey to the mark. I was wondering how many hours of fishing time you were able to put in bearing in mind the lack of daylight in December and the amount of yomping it took to reach and exit the mark? All the best for the new year.
I Gordon, that's a good question. We managed about 2.5 hours on the actual shore mark, and then another hour or so from the kayak as we made our way back to the launch spot. All-in-all, it was a 12 hour day with around 4 hours of fishing. Thanks for the comment and all the best for 2025
Not yet mate, I'm happy with my warm sleeping bag. A heater would feel like a bit cheating😂Maybe in a few years time when my body can't handle the cold any more
Fortunately not the lintels, the numpty I bough my new place from decided to No Nails wood to bare plaster to hang curtain rails from. I've just been filling and sanding the damage caused by removing the wood. Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year🎄👍🎣
A great day's fishing off of those rocks, the sea was so calm. Please reassure me that you were wearing lifepreservers under your coat, it's vital to wear one fishing of those rocks.
Eyup Nathan. Outside my window it's blowing 40 mph and pissing down. I'm not going fishing. If I was mad enough to go I would not be taking a camera. Hats off. And I'll raise a glass. Merry Christmas fella, Nadolig Llawen. I'll sithi after! Dave.
Love your videos. Thank you. I’m going to Skye for a week in late June /early July and am looking forward to having an explore around the coastline. Having watched loads of your videos I know that you look for deep areas near the coast . Is there anything else that you consider before trying a new mark like the one in todays video? Down here in Essex we don’t have rocky marks so am looking forward to hopefully catching my first pollock on a lure 😊
Thanks for watching, Simon, and taking the time to comment. The 3 things I tend to look for are deep water, structure (like drop-off's boulders, banks, reefs etc and headlands/gullies) and current. Hope this helps and you get your first pollack💪. Tight lines and all the best for 2025👍🎣
@ Thank you for your reply! Skye looks like one big , rocky structure so I am getting rather excited. I’ve managed to finally persuade my wife that a cottage right by the sea in Skye is what we should do for our holiday 🤣 Yo helped me on journey to catch my first bass so fingers crossed for my next quest . Your Topwater bass video is still by far one of the best videos on RUclips. Keep up the great work. It’s inspiring
@greenfingersw1 Good work getting that cottage by the sea. You can pretty much find pollack anywhere on Skye, so you'll definitely get one, finding the bigger ones is trickier. Have a look at Neist Point, it's pretty much the go-to mark for reliability. Thanks for your kind words. I really appreciate them.
About these terrain problems (gullies etc): have you not considered spending a bit of time during these long winter evenings practising with a quadcopter sim on your mobiles and then using a cheap real one to spy out the land ahead of you when you're heading to a new mark? It could save you a ton of wasted time and effort...🤷🏻♀️
@@SlippyLimpets haha, I've got a pair of boots with studs on, they ain't slip free though by all means, wondered if you had them felt soles on or something
Ah, yeah, too many studs make the problem worse. The shoes I use are called approach shoes and have sticky rubber soles, and i tend to stick 10 studs in the soles but mainly around the outside, a couple on the toe and heel. That way i still get the benefit of the sticky rubber contacting the rock
Hi James, luckily its not the lintels. The numpty I bought my new place from decided to no nails wood to bare plaster for his curtain rails. The marks are my attempt to fill and attempt to fill and repair the damage, caused when I removed the wood, ready for painting. Tight lines!
@SlippyLimpets it seems the lintels have bridged the internal plaster that's all mate was a tad concerned when I was watching if you need a bricklayers opinion on the issue of the external skin for to fix the issue let me know send me pics if need be I can guide you for easy DIY method rather than pay for its easy honestly

Another great video mate, rather you than me out in̈ a kayak at this time of year though!
Thanks Davy, it seemed colder from the shore, at least paddling kept me warm. I did have a wet arse though😂 Tight lines mate and merry christmas
@SlippyLimpets And you mate, look forward to seeing more videos in 2025, did you get a diesel heater for the boat yet?
Not yet mate, I'm happy with my warm sleeping bag. A heater would feel like a bit cheating😂Maybe in a few years time when my body can't handle the cold any more

Hi Tony, I'd swapped my kayak buoyancy aid for a Spinlock Alto, which is a compact inflatable PFD. Can't be too safe! Tight ines

what soles are on your go-to shoes ? them rocks are slipy as ICE man hahaah
