You are such a terrific instructor! I made it for my great niece for her birthday to hold her Barbie’s in pink and aqua fabric, it turned out darling! Your instruction was perfect. O left out the front pocket this first time but may add at another time. I will be making this bag again! I used bosal lining it worked great!

@Joan Watson - That's the part I like best; most tote bag tutorials just have open pockets and I like zippers so things don't accidentally come out -- whether that's money, a shopping list, a set of keys, or whatever. She showed us such an easy way to put that zippered pocket on. :-)

Thank you for this tutorial! I knew how to make a bag and didn't want to relearn just to add the zipper. The other tutorials add the zipper before sewing up side seams and I had already done that.

This is a great Tote Bag Pattern. I wanted to know how to get to more of your bag video's as I do not see the special Bag Link?
How would I go about lining the front pocket? I want to line the bag with waterproof fabric.

Mam I am going to make similar style of yours from your tutorial for my daughter, how much distance I should keep between the 2 straps ( to xarry) on the 21" wide ?
I love your tutorial deliveries. I have watched several. this large zippered tote bag is awesome. I am however quite concerned , I am at the point of pinning in the zipper facing and it is far too large for the outside of the bag. Yike what do I do now? Please help. I have done many zippers
Hi Lee. Is the zipper facing longer than the width of the out side of the bag? If so, then taken in the side seams of the facing so that it fits the top width the of bag. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍

How long are each strap I need to make some because I don't have any
Hi Jennifer. You need 3 1/4 yards for each bag. Fold the 3 1/4 yard length in half and cut. There's your straps. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
What size zipper?

Actually I went back to look at it and it said 18” zipper, unless you cut your own I do not think they come in 17” so they?
