Sometimes I wanna make tote bag with recessed zipper and lining. So the tote bag look more neat without excess zipper. This tutorial may help you.
Size of recessed tote bag are 35x25x10 cm
materials and pattern of body :
outer (canvas fabric) 28x38 cm 2x
interfacing 28x38 cm 2x
inner (cordura fabric) 28x38 cm 2x
materials bottom :
outer (canvas fabric) 12x26 cm
interfacing (eva foam) 12x26 cm
inner (cordura fabric) 12x26 cm
other materials :
zipper panel 7x38 cm 4x
inside pocket (canvas fabric) 20x30 cm
handles 50cm 2x
zipper 35cm

Kadang-kadang kta ingin membuat tas tote dengan resleting yang tersembunyi. Jadi tas tote kita akan nampak lebih rapi tanpa ada lebihan resleting. semoga tutorial ini bisa membantu.

I had that fabric once, made a pillow from it. Interesting way of inserting zipper flaps. Usually the ends are left open, but this way completely secures the smallest contents.
Best tutorial on RUclips if you want to add a recessed zipper. Believe me, I looked at a lot of them and they weren't very professional. Just finished my bag. Thanks.

I have that EXACT SAME fabric! I've been looking for tutorials to make a tote for about a week now and when I saw the thumbnail I was oh! I like this one, then I started watching it and saw the fabric I was so excited, this is a sign that this is the one 😊 except as a lining I have a maroon fabric, other than that I'm making this, and subbing. Awesome tutorial by the way, it looks like a complex design but you make it look so easy

Thank you so much❤PS if anyone from UK could suggest interfacing to use for this bag would be great. (I used Vlieseline H25C on cotton fabric, probably with canvas fabric would be more body). Thanks for the video on this. It took me awhile to see someone show exactly how it was done on the zipper ends. Im looking to make a drop in lining with zipper but for jean bags where I dont cut off the waist band. I think I can do it this way with a few teaks.

Excellent tutorial! Let me ask you a question. According the video, the bottom is 26 cmx 12cm although the width of the outer/inner part is 38 cm. How is that possible? In this case you sew 26cm + 6cm + 6 cm (half bottom) to one side which is just 38 cm. If you know what I mean...
It leaves a 6 x 6 square where you box the corners. You don’t sew around the short edge of the base. See around the 15:30 mark where she does the corners

I use M33. I don't know what it's called in your country (me: Indonesia) . I suggest using a medium thickness because if it is too thick it will be a bit difficult when top stitch.

I'm trying to make a very small bag, 22 x 22 cm. The zipper panel ended up way to small using fabric 22 x 5 cm. How do I calculate the size? Everything else went well!!
Try to use 22x7 cm(zipper panel)

I was looking through the recessed zipper tutorials for fully enclosed ends. I appreciate the simplicity of your design. The other tutorials are also good, but I think what you did by cutting out the 2cm to make the zipper ends tucked into the seam is what I wanted. I just didn’t want to think about it. Thank you!

So beautiful, i haven't seen this zipper method before. Since this a zipper without the glider from the start, can you tell me what way i have to place the zipper on the top, right side or wrong side and what about the panels for it? Hope it make sence what i mean
