Thank you for the video, I chose to buy a hrr216k10vkaa because of your video . The new one you have has a Honda recall there's compression issues with that engine. The hrr216k10vkaa starts everytime 1st pull. It did have the gear Pinon problem, like u said $10 fix!

Love my HRX217. 13 years old and still starts first pull after sitting all winter. Haven’t had to do anything other than change oil, air filter, plug and sharpen blades.

@@appleztooranges mine has the manual choke. I think the autochoke, which they added I guesss cause the concept of using a choke is too hard for the average user, actually makes them harder to start.

@@appleztooranges I’m thinking about it just cause I know they are going to stop selling them here and mine is 13 years old. Might buy one and toss it in the basement so I’ll be good if my current one fails. Would also give me time to see if it’s possible to ditch the auto choke and go manual choke. I wonder if the carb from my older one would work on a newer one.

U should buy another oneand keep it in the box new for 20 years or so down the road. In 20 or 25 years you could have a new one and no one else but me would have one .

on the HRR216 would you ever have clogging issues in the undercarriage? mine constantly clogs up

I use the hrx 217 hya and I loved it but it is a gcv 190cc engine. We don't use the bag we do rear discharge or mulch. They sell for about $729 I think that's the price I paid for mine. When I bought it from homedepot.

I’m someone who cuts 10 yards. I’ve always used Toro recyclers but one of them the motor is finally un repairably smoky after about nine years of heavy abuse. I’m looking at replacing it with HRX but how do y’all like Hondas rear discharge vs Toro side discharge? Side discharge seems to be able to scatter further and seems a bit more straightforward and less reliant on plastic shield that will possibly break after some abuse. what do y’all think? Get the Honda? Was also looking at the craftsman 28 inch mower

How well does the rear discharge work in comparison to a side discharge mower like my old Toro recycler? I need a new mower but I use side discharge 99% of the time. Will that rear grass chute break over time if I’m regularly running over small sticks etc?
