Question: if leather has a slight stretch to it which direction should it stretch for moccasins, toe to heel or left to right?

Charley plum thanks for your comment. Because the pattern is so small, we have found that it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things which way you lay your pieces. Try to use as much of your hide as possible! If you were making a shirt or some larger garment though, you would lay your pattern "head to tail". Regards, -kie

Which oz weight do you use for your own moccasins? Trying to decide between 3 oz or 5 oz.
I have every one of your videos on making moccasins, I made a pair out of Elk hide that I had, but I can't seem to find thick felt liners that you use. Any suggestions?
Hi. I’m wondering how much wiggle room is too much? I went with the recommended size and I have 1.5” space at the toe with my thick socks on.
How thick is the leather , i.e.4 or 5 oz leather?

How much was the pdf file reduced? My printer missed a lot of the complete images? Or am I printing it wrong? Thank you.
Hmm, which file was giving you trouble? When we print them ourselves we typically use the same reduced file size .pdf that's on our site. I suspect it might be a problem on your end, but if you let me know which book I'll take a look at the file online and see if I notice anything. Thanks!
I printed the sizeing and cutting chart file posted here , 4 pages. Most had the top or bottom cut off. I will try printing again.
I am using 8.5 x 11 paper, the printer is set for actual size.
Ahh, OK, yeah the patterns have to be printed on "ledger" paper (11 x 17).

Staples or other printing services will print 11 x 17 for you
