    This is the easiest moccasin making video I have seen.
    I have only watched 5 others, though this was the only one I watched to the end and the style is the nicest, uses the least amount of leather and therefore has the least amount of waste material.

    What kind of needle are you using exactly? I'm sewing my first pair of moose hide moccasins and I've broke 6 needles so far. They are leather needles and repair needles.

    Amazing video...
    Have a quick question; I bought a pair of vintage mukluks/mocassin boots. They're absolutely stunning and I love them. But unfortunately they're about half a size too small. They're just pinching my toes even without socks on. And I was hoping to wear socks with them in winter.. Do you have any ideas or experience in stretching out leather moccasins? Open to any ideas... I'll do literally about anything to be able to get these boots to fit. Ty in advance for your time. Regards Dawn 🙏🏾

      We use smoked moose hide for the uppers and buffalo for the soles.

      Did you bead right on the moose hide? How did your beading needle not break?

    where did you get your hide for the moccasins and how much was it i wanted to make a pair for my niece but i don't have quality buckskin for it

    • @jedindl
      @jedindl  3 года назад +3

      We use smoked moose hide we get from Northern Alberta or Saskatchewan. It is expensive, (800-1600 for a hide) but makes for excellent quality moccasins.

    Hello. So I'm back & when I finished up, the moccasins put them together they were way wider than I would have like them. How can I fix this on my next pair? Any suggestions
