Just bought a new Ferris IS600Z with the Kawi motor. I should have bought Ferris in the first place. Fantastic machines and the Kawi motor is bulletproof. I got lucky, found a dealer with a leftover 2021 for $5,730. Couldn't be happier with my purchase
Yeah, I'm saving up for a Maverick. This video proves just how much bang for the buck you get from Bad Boy. I mean, come on, 3200 hydros vs. 2800? Not even close.
Yeah, agree with you Troy. Really surprised the Gravely ZT 60HD is not on the list. I always felt Bad Boy was a bit of a Gravely imitator (but I will fully admit to not owning or cutting with one).
Mower does fit through my fences gate without any problems ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend I had to level the deck side to side after a few mows maybe I may got too close to something and the deck may have dragged on it. Like others reviews have stated this mower will tear up the grass with the rear tires when making tight turns if you do not slow down. Wish mower came with a hour meter other than that works exactly like I thought it would.
That's why I see pretty much new bad boys in the shop all the time with major issues that warranty won't back,so i get to tell the owner of new six grand plus mower they gotta drop another 800 in repairs because bad boy won't warranty it,talking like transmissions going out with 11hours operation on unit and stuff like that.
Good Video, but I would like to see more variety or more than 3 options. What about the Kubota Z412 or Z422. For a little more than a ferris it has a zt-3600 transaxle, a kawasaki 24 HP motor, a 4 year 500 hr warranty, and a suspension seat.
My Z412 with the suspension seat is a beast! And don't forget, power equipment man sells a canister filter kit for the Kawasaki engines. I will say though, my particular Z412 48" w/SS cost me over 8k after taxes.
Can you do a video between the gravely pro turn z and the bad boy mavrick. I think those are the best mowers in the 7k price range. I would also like to see a video on the sun 10k that has a bad boy vs a scag, gravely, and Ferris.
What Grasshopper do you own? I have only several lawns that I do now with a Craftsman 42" tractor with a Kohler 15hp, but looking to expand after I retire in a couple of years. Any suggestions? I've been looking at the 200v series. Also have a Grasshopper dealer close by in my area. Bad Boy dealer is just a mile down the road, and their mechanic knows his stuff, but I've heard about quality control issues on them, so not sure.
I bought an is700z last year 52” deck Briggs 27hp for 6750 delivered to my house. The dealer makes a difference, that being said the kawi is probably a better motor, and more expensive option as Briggs and Ferris are owned by the same company. But I have to say, they are damn fine mowers. They set the standard for ride quality and comfort. It is the Cadillac of zero turns in this segment. I was originally going to buy a bad boy, I had issues with getting one delivered. I waited six weeks and decided enough was enough, I bought the Ferris and I’m happy I did. They’re expensive but you will not be sore after using it.
Having purchased my '04 Lazer ZHP from one of the local city utility departments in 2016, I've had the years in between to learn the operation, maintenance and repair of my first zero turn mower. It was sitting in a storage building in a puddle of its own hydraulic oil. The local equipment dealer it was originally purchased from and had done all the maintenance and repair on it since had stopped by to have a look at it. They gave a repair estimate of $1700+ for hydraulic system repair. The culprit was the seal on the input shaft had been blown out, most likely due to operator error or abuse, and once the rigidity of the seal was compromised by fluid pressure it lost the contents of nearly the entire system, rendering the machine helpless. The city decided to replace rather than repair so they bought a new Deere, but took them a year to get around to selling the disabled Exmark. Luckily for me I was the first and only bidder on it, and the city clerk gave me a hand written receipt for the whopping sum of $340 without ever hearing it run If I could get it for some low-ball amount I could spend several thousand on it for years to come and still end up smelling like a rose. I submitted my bid and won. I pulled the right side pump out of the machine and took it to the bench. Got it apart and the only thing I could find wrong with it was that input shaft seal was at about a 45° angle on the shaft. Found parts to rebuild the pump by replacing the cylinder, valve plate and the gaskets/seals delivered to our front door for a whole $82. I had a total of less than $450 invested and it was mowing like a champ. In the years since I've gone through bother pumps again, the "maintenance free" spjndles I replaced twice before changing to greasable bearings and installed new zerks. The first and only time it's had a failure since it's been greasable at least once a month for each side. The winter of 2018 I ordered a new Kohler 23HP engine due to the original motor started "making" oil and I gave $1300 for it, delivered to our door. I did the swap and it's been a much more efficient and enjoyable 3 seasons, working on the 4th now. I'm pretty much sold on the durability of the Exmark brand, because my ZHP is like a dang brush hog. I can say that after having mowed several pieces of property that had been vacant for a long time, the entire places hidden under 3-4 feet tall sage grass, Bermuda , clover and orchard grass at the bottom of the jungle in all of them, and it was far from 8-9 mph but it chewed its way through it all, and after the second cutting they all were looking like completely different properties. I haven't used the others but I do know what that old Lazer Z out there in the garage is capable of. That being said, I think I'll stick with the Exmark/Toro brands. Quality products for reasonable prices.
@Kevin Higgins I work at am Exmark dealer; not going to tell you they are my fav but they are super solid and serious tools. You stole that Lazer, neighbor…..good on you. Hope it lasts as long as you do…
Too bad that Apex doesn't have suspension seat or axles. I hear Ariens' ride rough. Do you have one? I used a Hustler 55" 24hp Kawasaki for two summers, cutting the 7 acres on church grounds . That thing was tough as a tank, and laid down nice stripes. But man, the lack of suspension of any kind, tore me up at the end of the day. I learned that suspension is a must after using the well built Hustler.
there is no way the the radias is not the best by far and the bad boy is the worst and if u want to get serios best mower is the toro titan with myride.with the toro motor on back hands down best mower in market in this price range can probaly find 6 other mowers out there that are better than the bad boy junk mower
Hey I'm looking to upgrade my hustler zero turn and the Toro titan max was on my list. I have 3 acres and tye back is sloped and bumpy. Does the titan max have suspension and if not how is the ride quality on bumpy terrain? Thanks

I just bought the same machine as a 2022 model with the 48" deck for $6,999. So far I'm loving it.
Badboy the only way to go I have a maverick 60 in. An love it
Yeah, I'm saving up for a Maverick.
This video proves just how much bang for the buck you get from Bad Boy.

I used badboy maverick for 10 years can't beat them

@@davidjudd221 not much difference in those hydros 2800 run good
Warranty length and dealer support should be high on your list when purchasing.
only had a 54"Maverick with a Kawasaki 726. Great machine, good cut quality and it's designed the a bigger guy
i have a 2018 Maverick....love it! no issues with 200+hrs
It's pretty obvious, the Bad Boy wins hands down. For several reasons, but the hydros seal he deal.
3200 vs 2800, it's not even close.
The Ferris is sweet but that bad boy looks better than my wife on our wedding kk Ishtar. That bad boy is slick looking
I have 2 Gravely ZTHD 60. 25 horsepower Kawasaki 730v. I love them. Suspension would make it a little better.
Yeah, agree with you Troy. Really surprised the Gravely ZT 60HD is not on the list. I always felt Bad Boy was a bit of a Gravely imitator (but I will fully admit to not owning or cutting with one).

Bad boy MAVERICK maybe Ferris 600 great job showing and telling, have a great day bye.
Bad Boy sets the standard in this category. It stands above the competition when you compare features and build quality.
bad boy and ferris have inferior warranty coverage and the cut quality of the exmark is far better
Bad boy is honestly the worst zero turn I’ve ever used
It's the maverick, hands down
I love my 2021 Spartan HD RZ 61” it is a beast
Country Clipper XLT loving the mower!
This exmark model could be lacking in a few things but it definitely cuts the best

ZT 2800 hydro drive is not a commercial unit on the EX mark.

The bad boy sounds good but you didn’t mention anything about the cut quality
Just priced that Ferris IS600 here in PA July 2022 for 8513.00 with the 23hp Kawasaki and 52" deck for 8513.00. Wow didn't expect it to be that high.

Cub cadet ztx5 60inch I have in Australia, it's a beast
It's crazy how much things went up I bought a ferris is600z in 2019 for $5600 after tax still going strong
Agreed!
Well now this was an interesting video and I would say be bad boy for sure.
Thanks! Happy mowing!
Can imagine paying $7000 for that Exmark, my Bobcat CRZ60 has the same 2800 transaxle a better Kawasaki engine for under $5000.
Any issues so far?
Bad boy I like so have a great day see ya bye.
Buy a gravely 200 series or higher free deck warranty.5400 hydro pumps.
Bad boys look cool, but suck the warranty is trash, and I've seen multiple brand new purchases go in a shop with major issues
Ain't buying that son.
They must beat the snot out of their stuff.
Bad boy Maverick Briggs and Stratton
Rz hd 54 built like a tank parker hte 10cc pumps.
We have a lot of lawn's with Bahia grass and the ferris cuts it better than the maverick

We will make one this summer!
Let's see it climb a steep hill or out of a ditch..like my Craftsman T240 Turn Tight tractor can..

Toyota should start building mowers..
FERRIS ALL THE WAY….
TRY OFF ROAD(YARD)
WITHOUT SUSPENSION…!
ENOUGH SAID!
Suspension makes the rough mowing bearable.
Not too many. Have a perfectly smooth yard.
