I like a serviceable transmission.
I might buy the terrodactel killer. It's got flam throwers on the front. Top speed 65 miles a hour.
I love mine.
Got a brand new 2022 ZT Elite with same hydros, same engine and 60" deck. skipped the blacked out option at a not bad price. Residential/Farm use. Super easy to work on for regular maintenance and even heavier including electrical, not that I've had problems, just an observation. Best selling point. Only complaint is got Turf Saver tires instead of the Reapers. Easy upgrade. Will install ROPS just for the additional mounting points. Great mower for what I use it for. Local dealer is a major plus vs. a box store purchase.
This is more is a SALES PITCH video then a best of review.
I bought the Husqvarna Z254F special editionl 3 weeks ago, it has the 23 HP Kawasaki, very happy with the mower. I live on a 5.5 acre horse property with no horses. Pastures had not been cut all summer, were 2 feet tall grass and weeds. Had to make two passes but it did it. Very powerful mower.
I bought one too. I got 2000
I bought a Craftsman T1800 42" riding mower. I own 30 acres with 15 acres of trees. I now 15 acres every 2 weeks in the growing season unless it has rained or wet. I change the oil every month regardless. I change the blades every 2 months. I put zert fitting in each of the 2 spindles and grease once a week. I filled the tires with water for more weight to mow slopes. It's still going strong. I paid $$1,800 8 yrs ago. You don't need a zero turn to do yards. All you need is experience mowing lawns and trimming skills.
I been cutting my property for 60 years first with a tractor and Bush hog. I just got tired of making big passes and wasting gas. I also bought a second deck so I could cut close to my trees. To narrow for a tractor. Takes about 3 hours to mow and about an hour to trim around the house barn and trees. Buy what you can afford. Don't go into debt. $8,500 is a lot of money to spend and get your money's worth. Besides in business you have depreciation over a few years. So your not going to get that back right away. Borrow when you have to.
No one makes money throwing it away.
3 hrs to mow 15 acres on a 42” rider? You couldn’t even do that on the mowers listed in this video…your full of it
@@seanmetzger4780😂😂😂😂😂
The Bad Boy limited edition also comes with no flat front tires.
Good, Thx
Limited Addition mowers are a joke. I want a mower to cut grass. If I want to be cool I'll pay someone to cut the grass and buy a sports car. Geeesh! Get serious1
That is EXACTLY what I do. I don't need a sun tan.
Exactly why I went with the regular ZT elite. The extra cost for stuff I simply don’t care about wasn’t worth it.
@@ValePlaceor.... OR.... you can have the sports car AND the baller mower because pimped out dad status. Gotta earn those white new balance shoes and polo shirts🤣🤣🤣🤣
Grasshopper. In 19 years I've bought 1 belt and 2 batteries .
I bought a like new 06 Kubota 35 HP front end loader, 72 inch belly mower, jd 5' brand new tiller hst 4wd 10500.00 420 hours
Dang inflation. Those 7k price tags were decent commercial mower prices just a few years back.
@@mizzouxc3824 🧢
Everything's gone up even push mowers are expensive
I like to think of our predicament as pre Biden vs current.
@@ericdolby1622 say thanks Joe.
Great Info, Thanxx........but you can keep the Bad Boy !!
By far the best bang for your buck is the toro time cutter 50" . I bought one last year and love it. Not to mention it was at least 1500 bucks cheaper than anything on this list.
Timecutter 50 is a true residential mower…11” front wheels just won’t cut it for most people with more then a few acres. I would rip them off way too fast on my property
HOW FITTING when you said " DOPE " up pops a picture of the "DOPE HEAD" himself,,,,,,,,,,,,snoop dog. NAILED IT !
The Husqvarna is one mean machine. I love husqvarna’s. That’s all I use.
Everyone is loyal to something. My uncle has a lawn care business and he loves husqvarna as well.
I'm weighing for the 200 hp 400 inch deck with zt 9000 transmission with 4 inch axles. It's got 3 fuel tanks holding 70 gallons of nitro fuel.
I think I'm going to add some 90 million candael watt lights on it.
I think the Wright Stander B is the best for the money....
You did not mention the cutting quality of the Husqvarna. I had one and found it windrowed the grass and I ended up going over the lawn twice....a terrible mower. I next purchased a Kubota, it cut good but the suspension was terrible. I had recently had back surgery and I could not enjoy the ride as it was EXTREMELY bouncy. I finally purchase a Ferris 61", and although higher priced, I have been VERY happy!!! We mow in excess of 3 acres, so we needed a good reliable mower, and the Ferris is that. thanks, Bob
Disagree. Have a residential z54 2 years ago 4 2900.00 tried them all and also easy to maintain. My opinion.
Ferris of love
A lot of good mowers got left out. But I do like badboy. JD Z530M is what I have. Only reason I chose it over badboy is because John Deere was only a mile from my house.
I paid $7k for my Gravey 52” and it doesn’t have my suspension except for the tire inflation. That Husquavarna looks like a good deal, though I would prefer a Kawasaki engine on it.
I’ll take my country clipper with joystick steering
I own a Bad Boy Maverick with a Kawasaki and it sure can cut thick tall grass. Not being a Fan Boy. You still seem to get a lot more mower with the Bad Boy when comparing Apples with Apple. Husky z380 seems good with the new 4 link suspension-may be the way to go
Totally agree with you. I own a Badboy ZT Elite 60" and it's a great machine for the money.
The bad boy is the only one on the list that is worth buying you can keep the others, esp. the husky.
That 4 bar link system is a sure fail point in no time. design a better seat like Gravely did.
Prior to the pandemic, you could get a mid-level commercial grade zero turn for $8-9,000. Those same commercial grade mowers are significantly more expensive as well. My, how things have changed.
Inflation is just a hidden tax.
@@messagesystem333 What's hidden about it?
ZT Elite is a damn good mower for the money......
Yes it is. Commercial transaxle and deck.
Absolutely!
I agree. The bad boy is the best value.
I'm sure that Tractor Bob has a store somewhere. Wouldn't it be a good Idea to somewhere mention where that somewhere is? Just a suggestion, I could be wrong.
Does the robot come with the mower or is that a option I'll stick with my Kubota
2023 Ariena iKon 42. $3899 fabricated deck, Kawasaki.
For 5-6k will it cook and clean too
Z350 has no front suspension?
I’m a scag man all the way. But I do have a walker and a toro
why scag? I'm new to the zero turn thing and am needing one for my 2 acre yard. Father in law says nothing but Scag but he's also a commercial business owner. Not sure I can justify price of Scag for residential use. What would you suggest next?
I paid $2500 for my Toro ZTR, 10 years ago. Still going strong
How big is your lawn?
@@Saveyourbs half acre in Florida
@@robertheinkel6225 I had Toro in my top 3 when I was shopping for a new mower
Can’t seem to get it why I “ need” my mower to be labeled “ limited”.?
Ive owned and operated two ez trac 42" jd zt mower. I hop on cut and hop off. In your opinion is there a more accurate steering mover if I were to leave the jd ez trac series of zt. Thanks
It’s hard to beat cub cadets steering wheel models of ztr’s…they’re super precise and way easier to hold a straight line
Had 2 CC and nothing but problems with the cutting deck. POS
Do they want to sell those Toro titan Max lawnmowers or keep them the prices are too high.
FERRIS the Cadillac of mowers 👍
Never heard of them before your comment 🤔
Ferris and the new Stihl zero turns.
What about the Z530R John Deere
I didn't see one residential yard in this commercial.
anything for under $10k??
I live in northern Minnesota you guys don’t have snow blowers do you?
No sir we do not
Have you ever reviewed Hustler Mowers? Raptor x for instance ?
I reviewed one for 7 years. Raptor limited 52”. I now have a bad boy
What I love about the mower debate is everyone thinks whatever they have is the best ever. 😂😂 whether you have a zero turn or a lawn tractor, everyone thinks they have it all figured out.
I have a goat, and I am always picking up bombs in the yard. Damn Goat. LOL
Ferris and Stihl have it figured out.
@@garyh.8082 and here goes another one 😂😂😂
You can put carbolic acid on your yard. That way you don't have to cut it.
Buy a Scag Liberty Z
So many people crap on residential zero turns because they’re not “tough” enough - Do I really need something commercial grade if it’s going to get less than 50 hours a year on a flat 1 acre yard?
No you don’t need something commercial for that. If you’re mowing a solid acre once per week, I would go with a good residential mower with a 54 or 60” cut.
Ariens has the best residential mower.
Why do they have a cup holder? You can’t drink a beer while using a zero turn?
I kept waiting for hank hill to appear 😂
Sir Yu can it's not great but I put my beer in the holder smoke a ci gar and drive my zero with one hand
No Kawasaki engine, no deal.
Probably has seal bearings on the spindles which is crap.
Except for the "blacked out" paint my 2 year old ZT Elite has all the same features of the new limited plus 3200 hydros, 27 hp commercial Kohler and full suspension seat out the door for $5400. About the same money counting Bidenflation but Bad Boy is going backwards with features.
I’ll keep my 2009 CUB CADET TANK. Made like a tank, ready for war, and the wife at times will let me mow the yard if I’m good.
I know you say prices can vary, but your pricing on the ZT Elite is incorrect before they vary, unless this is special pricing at your shop? It seems maybe you pulled pricing from the ZT Avenger. The cheapest ZT Elite (48" Briggs/Kohler) is MSRP $6709/Cash Price $5719. The lower spec ZT Avenger starts at $5114 cash price.
Correct mine with the Kawasaki was $5889 before tax.
I bought my zt elite 60" for 5k with a Kohler
@@TheHousedigs A new 2023? All mower companies have raised MSRP by $300-$400 a year since 2020. What was a $5000 mower is now a $6000 mower.
I bought a zt elite limited 60” with a kohler yesterday for 6400 I’m not sure where you are getting that 6700 number from
As I said in my comment, 6709 is MSRP and cash price is $5719.
60” Kohler is $6214 cash/$7189 MSRP.
Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.
home owners only buy residential Stand-On mower only!
Just put a new motor and fix up what you already have and you’ll save money now and later
I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.
Let us do business, and you will receive our first-class sales and product training, higher quality lawn mower products, super discounted prices, and unparalleled support and service.
If Bad Boy is so bad, then why do they have a pitiful warranty?
Seriously my mower is badder than yours so I must have a bigger winky!
Lost me at kohler
I have Mowed my Two Acres for almost Forty-years. I see “Zero,” reasons for buying a Zero Turn Mower. Unless you get a heavy commercial grade mower, you can’t tow anything with the Mower, No Fertilizer Spreader, Lawn Roller, Aerator, Garden Cart, Etc. The Tight turn, Mowers will also knock out any reason for a Zero Turn. But, if you like trip Divots in your yard, go ahead. Also if you are looking for speed and quality of cut, get a Fabricated Deck, not a Stamped Deck!
I’m with you. I like a steering wheel. A four wheel steering tractor is great for large tracts of land.
I can steer with one hand and hold my drink in the other. Well at least I can with a steering wheel.
The Bad Boy has a heavy duty deck AND a trailer hitch. I too thought I'd always prefer a tractor until I actually got used to a zt. Unless you need a loader or 3 point, zt wins hands down for mowing.
Please suggest which mower you would purchase today for residential use. I need help choosing the best one.
I have too much land for a small lawn tractor. Zero or the highway
Bad boy is the only one I would consider, the others plates are garbage.
how much you get payed
Not enough my good friend, not enough. Lol 😆
"Just $5,499." 😂
I was happy when I ran across "best RESIDENTIAL" zero turn mowers for 2023. But Man, these things are a lot more beefy than your average homeowners need. IMO. What about Joe average that has less than an acre of flat lawn to mow?
Check out my latest video, all residential mowers fir less $$$
Good point
Rims on a lawnmower! What a stupid $1000 upgrade
No zero turn mower can match a Kubota Zero Turn mower regardless.
I got the 2023 Gravely ZT 42 with bagger (not power bagger). It's AWEFUL!! Do NOT get this one! Also, the mower blows grass, leaves, debris all out of ALL sides of the mower including in front which goes RIGHT into your face and eyes! It's absolutely awful. I was advised to slow the mower engine/speed and that will fix it and it did NOTHING! The bagger is the 1st time Gravely did their own and it's AWFUL. The bags are WAY too behind the mower so if you're driving along side of a structure or fence, you can't just turn away from the structure normally b/c the bags are so far behind the mower, turning normally, the bags crash up against the structure. Literally the only good thing about the Gravely ZT 42 is the Kawasaki engine. I'm selling this mower despite having it for ONE season!!!
Light bar and alloy wheels 😅 not! How about a stihl zero turn they are very tough and no frilly stuff
The Stihl is a rebranded Ferris ZT.
To bad ibmissed the party
No, most people do not need anything near that 5K plus is crazy for mowing 1 maybe 2 times a week on your own yard
It depends on how big your yard is.
Husqvarna Not HusqAvarna
The Husqvarna is a rip off from the best other mowers. Lights are a rip from Cub Cadet along with the hard plastic guard on the outside of the deck and the dial height setting. How the guy narrating never saw this before is odd. The new smooth ride system is just their variation of Toro myride.
Mowing in tall weeds is a quick way to ruin any mower
Who mows at 9 mph?
People with land
If it isn't a Scag........ it's a RAG
😂
Cub Cadet fabricated deck Kawasaki 24 hp 52 inch deck
Paid $3,200 at Home Depot 3 yrs ago
That husqvarna is crap, now they trying to make mowers like cars now. Just more stuff to break. All it needs to do is cut grass
I have a Husqvarna, best mower I ever owned. Mowe's like crazy. Love it ! Just wish it had a gas gauge.
Change the title to review for rich ppl
Why review only high dollar residential zero turns? Your average residential customer is not going to dish out $7000+ on a zero turn to mow their lawn..... Commercial yes... But not residential
Thank you. I thought it was me. I cringed when he said “ONLY” 6 k plus. Yeah fancy rims is exactly what I want to pay for on my lawn mower. Why would anyone even be impressed with such an item on a mower.
Because it's the Top 3 residential mowers. If you're looking for an inexpensive mower check out my top 5 mowers under $3000 video :)
@@TractorBobs I watched your best of under 3 k. It was well worth my time. Great video. You seem to be a very honest and trust worthy company.
@@adgieem1 Gary, you're the MAN! Thanks for the kind words my friend! We always try to steer away from bias and towards honesty!
No way can 90% of the working families can pay that, I just try to talk them into a new motor and fixing up what they have
None of these are residential mowers. Anyone who could afford one of these for their house wouldn’t even mow their own lawn. They would have a mowing company do it. I have just over 1/2 acre lot and would like a 0 turn but not for no $6k. I make just over $90k a year and I still wouldn’t pat more than $2k for a 0 turn mower for my yard. The standard gate width is 36” wide so how is a 46” 0 turn residential mower going through that. I put up my own fence and made my gates 48” wide so I could get a riding mower through them. Now I’m waiting for a company to actually come out with a 0 turn residential mower I can buy. It needs to have around a 36” - 42” deck.
Sir, all of these are residential mowers, at the top end of their class if you're looking for a less expensive mower you could watch my top 5 mowers under $3000 video.
If you have 1/2 acre you don’t even need a rider. I have a residential yard too, but it’s 2 acres. Residential doesn’t have any connection to acreage, it means you mow x acres weekly, not daily.
@@chucknSC well at 82 years old and being a stubborn old man that is set in his ways I’d like a riding mower. I still take care of my own yard. Keeps me active. Zero turns are more easy to turn than a wheel on a riding mower at my age. I’ll be sure a buy what everyone else wants instead of what I want that way your happy.
FJB
Wtf residential, my ass😂
It’s the TOP 3 Residential mowers. Not the TOP 3 Affordable Residential Mowers… haha.
The Husky is junk, NEVER buy a zero turn with a stamped deck they are complete crap. look for a deck that is fabricated out of flat steel and welded 11 ga minimum thickness. Also the twin transmissions on those huskies are not serviceable. if this made your best of 23 list we are all doomed!
Your correct sir
No reason why these 20 hp plus mowers shouldn't have standard 60 inch decks! 26 hp and only 54 inch deck is stupid..
Just mentioning Husqvarna means you don't know what you're talking about. Negative reviews big time.
This is an old video but I just have to say it’s Husk-Varna not Husk-a-Varna. Can’t any of you guys get the pronunciation of a make correct. Not to be a grammar nazi but it just makes your vids seem less important.
You’re entitled to your opinions. Here’s my two cents…I’m from the south. That’s how we all say it. And I’m not gonna change the way I pronounce it.
These mowers are all junk. I need a 34" cut with a 22 HP
Check out the revolt SD
Lmao these all flat out suck. Kind of stupid review is this? I have a ZTXS4 54 Cub Cadet zero turn and it will destroy all these!
These machines are too expensive for the average homeowner and probably too big to do something for the homeowner
