    Recently I uploaded a RUclips video title 4 reasons why I don’t use Godot. Most people started saying that being a Godot content creator and not using it for my personal or work projects basically makes me an imposter. Their premise is: “Why you are uploading Godot content if you don’t use it?”. Today, I want to answer to all this, let’s start

    You sound a little defensive. If you're creating videos about using Godot, and you're not using it for your own projects, then that calls your credibility into question. The obvious question is what is the reason you're not actually using it? If it's not the right fit for you, then maybe you shouldn't be making videos about it. Now, on the other hand, if you use a variety of tools, then it's ok if you don't stick exclusively to one tool. If you don't like it, then make videos about something else.

      How is providing valid information effecting his credibility?
      Just because someone doesn't use something doesn't mean they don't know about it.
      Is the information valid? Is it useful? If both are true then why does it matter how often they use software?

      @@nocturnaltruthseeker - I didn't actually say anything about whether the info is valid or invalid, I'm simply saying if you're not following your own advice, then some people find that suspect. He seems to be trying to defend his position on not actually using it.
      I may not know whether something is 'valid information' so if I figure out he's not using that, then I might think he doesn't know what he's talking about. Keeping in mind, I'm not even saying he doesn't know what he's talking about, I'm saying, there's a reason he's not using it. It doesn't seem to be because he uses multiple tools.
      I'm supplying a possible explanation to why he would want to defend his position of telling you to do something while he does something else.

      @@dreamcatforgotten8435 - It's also reasonable that someone is calling him out on something they feel is wrong. I was giving a possible explanation.

      The guy had addressed why he makes videos for Godot.
      It's because Unity tutorial videos are oversaturated.
      This also ties into his claim about there being less tutorials/information for Godot compared to Unity, which is true.
      If his Godot videos are not good, you can always join the bandwagon and make your own, better Godot videos. Or hope that other peeps will do that.

      This is an anecdote, but the difference between Godot 3 and Godot 4 was strong enough to make a good friend of mine reconsider using Godot, since a lot of his code from Godot 3 won't work with Godot 4, and he didn't feel like rewriting his code to be compatible with Godot 4.
      As a comparison, Unity 6 to even Unity 2019.4 LTS doesn't have such strong differences in reusable logic, for better or worse. The strongest differences would be in Render Features. You might find some differences in terms of Asset compatibility, but you can typically get a version of an Asset compatible with your LTS depending on when that Asset was first published. And this is a generous example considering how far apart 2019.4 LTS and Unity 6 are compared to Godot 3 and Godot 4.
      The point I'm getting at is that a tutorial for Godot 3 may not be valid for Godot 4, which means Godot may require more up-to-date tutorials for a given major version compared to Unity.
      Coupled with the fact that Godot is still the new kid on the block (from Godot 3 and beyond) compared to Unity, it can be harder to get valid information from tutorials from Godot than you would with Unity.
      This doesn't mean Unity is better than Godot, but it does mean that if Godot continues doing large changes to the codebase that will affect people's projects, there may be a bigger need for more tutorials for each major version so peeps can migrate up to higher versions with minimal resistance.
      So I'm glad that more peeps have an interest in making tutorial and informational videos about Godot, even if they are not using those projects for monetization. Each major version of Godot will likely need its own batch of tutorials anyways.
