You are a brave woman! I am in Toronto, Canada and wouldn't even consider it. Your hands and feet may be chilly but you always have a warm heart. Much love to you. 👍😊💞
Hi Lady! I am viewing your laundry on the road video, here is a hint that might work for you. I have a small salad spinner designated for our camp outs, some times you need to wash undergarments, etc. You can wash an item in the spinner, agitate it for a few minutes, rinse and spin all the water out and hang it to dry, works great! 😁
Started out from Florida to Arizona/Nevada in my Sienna just after Christmas and arrived just after New Year. Two of the nights out (truck stop, then BLM) minivan temp said 28 degrees. Best two nights ever! I love the cold and thought it fun to figure out clothes/blanket situation to stay warm. I've since invested in some more wool items. I agree with another commenter who said line side walls with pillows to keep from touching the coldest parts of the van. I had no aux elec. or heat or flame. Just turned the van on in the morning (love my heated seats!) and drove to the nearest coffee spot. Rather be cold than too hot. Can't sleep much too hot. Love your content...Happy travels!
this comment n your reply is informative and helpful. if either of u have time will u link your wool socks? i frooooze last winter gotta buy those wool socks. the ones i looked up r an investmemt. which i do not mind but i would like a recommendation.😀
Hey hello. Just noticed that you’re using Kerry Cheese. I worked for them in Wisconsin making cheese sauces and savory sauces. I’m retired now. Enjoy your dinner with Kerry cheese.
Those knock off Chinese diesel heaters all in one piece work really great. This is all I kept thinking about watching you turn into a popsicle. Sooooo worth the 175, uses very little fuel and power. Tell me what you think about that.
In really cold weather I tape a hothands warmer to the bottom side of my water jug so it doesn't' t freeze. They are also good to tape on the butane can to keep the gas flowing better in freezing weather. It never gets the can too hot because the can cools from evaporative cooling as the gas burns. I only camp in really cold weather if it's necessary or I am on a ski/snowshoe overnight camping trip. In my van I plug in my 12v blanket and warm up my bed before nodding off. Everyone has their limits. I love how you set yours up to stay warm.
If you have the right equipment and well prepared, you can sleep in extreme freezing temperatures without being cold even without any heat in the van at all during the night.........winter sleeping bag that's designed for extreme freezing temps or a good thermal blanket that's designed for extreme freezing temps , a heated sleeping bag liner is also great or a heated throw/heated cushion, thermal slippers or extremely good thick thermal socks stop your feet from getting cold, a good thermal hat, thermal gloves, put small gas canister in bed with you will stop it from freezing, fill a thermos for morning because water in van will be frozen or put small bottle of water in bed with you , good thermal layers of clothing etc etc.

Dee, I always enjoy your videos. You always educate your viewers in some way and provide such intelligent and well thought out content. Your van is lovely and organized. I also appreciate your kind, sweet spirit. You seem like such an amazing inspiring person! We appreciate what you always share with us. I hope your hand is 100% soon. Having broken a wrist and having surgery a year ago, while living alone, I definitely understand the challenges!
For me, the trick is to heat the car as much as bearable when driving, then keep it as sealed as possible, to keep the heat in. Once the stuff inside is comfortable to touch (not cold) it will store the heat for you.. I live with too cold weather (for me) 8-9 months out of the year, so layering clothes, and knowing how to keep your home warm, is crucial. Been looking after my childhood home as my parents went to Thailand (those bastards, I was supposed to be traveling south during my holiday 😜) The house is very old, and huge, and open. And with the electric prices higher than ever, we are saving expenses by turning floor heating and such off, but the wood burning oven, needs to be running constantly, to keep this place warm. And if it dies out for a period of time, the cold just seeps back in, then it takes hours to get some heat back, days to warm the building itself.. So I'm good at figuring out how to keep warm, but my plan for the van, is to do like the birds, and migrate to warmer weather in the coldest months... I am also insulating both floor and ceiling, just to keep it warmer.. I don't know if I will do the walls too, because I would like to use magnets, and I am not sure if they will work through the isolation, no matter how thin it is... But I might just carpet it, so I don't have any cold metal.... 😅
Even if you don't plan on travelling in snow country, this is a good exercise. Even in the southernmost states you could find yourself in subfreezing weather.
Your lights look so pretty in the van. you’re smart for sleeping in your hat. It makes a huge difference. Brrrrrr. Can’t wait to see you in a few days.
The snow pants are something I bring, just wool base layer under them. So easy and comfy too! Slip down booties with wool socks. Add yellow lights and a candle and it’s pretty warm . Hot drinks and a book keep you occupied. But a walk in wool socks and foam boots - feet stay warm from the friction . I have a remote start so I can start the van while preparing to get out of bed in the AM
It is 83 degrees in south Florida and I have the chills from watching your video! LOL I think I will just live vicariously through you for winter camping. :-) You are making me hungry too!
Living vanlife in SE Wisconsin I sleep on top of a wool blanket. It really helps keep the cold air underneath the bed away. Also wool socks and a winter cap at night...
Wow Hi Dee you are looking as beautiful as ever love the Hair what a beautiful outlook all that snow and trees, you are so brave out there lighting a fire on your own, love the food etc oh I could feel the cold just watching Brrrr? best wishes ken xxx
I am in the UK. I usually take my gas canister out of the cooker and put it in bed with me to keep it from freezing. After I’ve boiled my kettle in the morning, I wrap my clothes round the kettle to get them warm before I put them on while I have my drink. I wrap the smallest things first followed by jumper then trousers. I’ve been in -2C but my van is insulated too.
I can tell you’ve had experience staying warm in the winter without central heating. I learned only because my hobby of amateur astronomy took me out to the California deserts in the winter time, to observe the stars. While no where near as harsh as the Midwest, it can still get down in the teens which is plenty cold for this California boy. Had to learn about layering by trial and error, something you already know. Standing outside all night though, I found using an oversized (4X) Down Parka is a game changer! I take mine with me anytime I expect the temperature to be 32F or below.
Another great Video, Dee! When I had to spend 45 days in overnight temps from sub zero to the 20s I knew I would need a heater, so I stayed on a hobby farm with electricity available and used a space heater. That might sound like cheating, but at least it was tolerable. As soon as I could get away I headed to Phoenix! I wasn't concerned about keeping myself warm, it was my water tanks and refrigerator that needed the heat.
Brrrrrr … that’s definitely cold! 🥶 So far the lowest temp I’ve slept in my vehicle was 26 degree. I slept in fleece pants, t-shirt & sweatshirt, super thick socks & a hat in my sleeping bag with another blanket over myself. I didn’t get cold until I had to wake up and get out of my warm cocoon! I’ve since added a nice wool blanket, if needed. See you soon! Safe travels 🐞
Wow Dee!!!! 🥶 Thankyou for sharing your experiment with very cold weather. Looking forward to hear about your outcome. Good to see your little companion along for the ride.🐶 Your meal looked yummy. Stay warm.🫖☕🚐
I thought about making some type of a heater out of the Chi-Lites in the terracotta pot but try to figure out a safe possible way to use that in the van
Girl, I got caught in snow storm in Williams, AZ couple weeks ago on the way to Sedona. It was 17degrees. No heat but I was so grateful for good blankets until I got out of the covers. Burrrrrr
@@LadyBugout I know. Right? I was surprised to see snow. I thought I escaped it from home in Reno, NV but the weather was great in Sedona. Love your channel ❤️❤️
Great video.. Thank u for taking the time to help us understand how it is to camp in the cold.. One day I will do a van built & hope to meet u in person.. Happy travels, safe driving.. Blessings
Probably if you started the fire outside soon as you got there, you would be nice and toasty when you go back out. Also if you have a grid to put over fire pit then you could have cooked. Best to keep inside once warm closed off from outside,a headlight is useful when outdoors. Once you're back inside you will feel super warm. All in all you were brave.
Dee you seem so peaceful and humble. I hope you stay warm. You're very beautiful and you have everything all planned on how to live in your van. You're amazing woman I love your videos and thank you very much for sharing your life. And I hope your wrist is getting better
I have too many metal parts to do cold, 40's is doable 30's is pushing it. The butane stove works wonders to heat my full size van at those temps and a kettle full of hot water will radiate heat for a couple hrs
Dee, you are much more adventurous than I in cold weather. I spent 36 years in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and if I never see snow again I will be happy. The Boy Scouts recommend you change underwear/socks before you go to bed so you sleep in dryer and therefore warmer clothes.
A couple of low 20 degree nights in the desert had me adjusting my night routine! I now make a pot of hot water in the evening to make a cup of herbal tea, a thermos of coffee for the morning (so I don’t have to get up and cook!) and either a Scrubbez bath or hot water bottle. I also found that if I put my down coat under my blanket and over my feet and legs I stay toastier and the coat is warmer to put on in the morning. I usually stick a pullover sweater under the covers too. I also fill those door cracks with pillows to keep the cold air from seeping in. Cold weather camping is for the brave, isn’t it?!
The last time I went somewhere cold on purpose was back when I was skiing. Otherwise I do all I can to avoid weather like that. I spent two winters in central Canada and that was enough to last a lifetime. I know I can handle freezing weather, I just don't want to. But good on you for testing yourself.
WOW! KUDOS for trying, but that would be too cold for me! Hope you stayed warm enough, but in the teens is risky... at best. Glad your wrist is getting better and safe travels! Cheers :)
The birds singing in the background didn't let the cold temps dampen their spirits. You did great, survived the night at 12.9 degrees. I camped in my Connect at 18 degrees but, I had more bedding than you. I agree the army blanket makes a big improvement in the comfort level. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to the second video.
Great idea for a video, seeing how you prepare for a cold night. I'm also following Canadian vanlifers who seem to live these temperatures day in and day out. Very interesting noticing the different practical ideas, gadgets and heaters. Take care 🙋♀️
My Transit is not insulated either but on really cold days, I hang wool blankets over the inside walls which is helpful especially if it is windy outside.
Hey Dee, well this is a learning experience. I wonder if it was cold enough long enough to freeze water jugs. No coffee/tea in the morning is no fun. But obviously you have survived. Warm up, take care, head south!
Thank you for another great video. I always enjoy your real (van)life approach. There are a few tricks I use when winter camping to stay more comfy. I keep a butane canister in my sleeping bag for morning use. Also, putting water jugs and butane in a thermal carrier with a hot hands keeps them from freezing.
Ooo much too cold, I live in a static caravan in the UK and it gets very cold in the night during winter, happy to say winter hasn’t been too bad so far this year. You are very brave sticking it out in that kind of freezing weather. Xx
I would recommend not being in damp clothes at all before trying to sleep in cold temps. Put dry clothes on. Also I use baby powder on my feet before putting on thick, clean, dry socks as it dries my feet helping them to stay warm. . I have a 12V blanket and will have a puff blanket and a wool blanket before I head out to be a Snowbird next winter. My biggest concern will be keeping my pup warm enough as she has really thin fur and she may be too big to share my narrow bed. I think I will put a hot water bottle in her bed too and make a nice cozy nest for her.
@@LadyBugout Not at all cause I already knew it was going to be a frozen teasicle, hanging on by a string, by the morning. Cracked me right up, had to pause so as not to miss anything. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great to see how you set it all up when going to bed. I think yours is just about my favourite set up - so spacious, simple, well considered, tardisy and humble, all while being ridiculously elegant (kinda the van version of you, actually 😆)(not the simple bit!). Well done you!
I see these videos where people is still in snow an cold. It makes me appreciate Tennessee even more. We may get 55to65 inches of rain but the cold an snow is at a minimum. Some people like it but my choice is I want none of it. Love 💘your videos
It is a miserable feeling to wake up cold. But it sure is invigorating! I used a truck-tent one night at the Marfa Lights viewing area and about the time it dropped near freezing, I'd had enough. I've since invested in a 12v heating blanket and plan to take a heat source on future outings like that.
I camp in a FTC also. I spread my 12v blanket in my sleeping bag and warm it up before getting in before getting in. I don't use it all night because I have to budget the battery charge. I sleep with a butane canister in the foot of my sleeping bag so I can have coffee in the am. The only thing I would wish for is a remote starter so I could stay cozy until the car warms up.
@@carolguyer2230 You can have those added aftermarket. I think I spent $400 installing a remote start on my pickup. My next trip will also include some lithium battery power.
👋💃 🐞 Dee🚗🥶Cold is my nemesis 😃😄But I love the snow it's beautiful! When there's a ful moon the snow glitters like fairy dust & when the sun shines on icey days, the bushes, Trees & blades of grass it looks like works of fine blown glass it's amazing ! 🙂 Nice hot meal for a cold day ! ❤️The video TY for sharing your journey! Stay safe/ Be Happy/ I'll see you on the next video Dee 🙂
It is because I accidentally released it before it was released. So it didn’t really come out 5 days ago. It came out Saturday. But according to RUclips it comes out that accidental release date.
WOW ! Way too cold for me ! I know if I do get a van to BE NOMAD ,I'll keep my king size down comforter ( that was gifted to me by friend who didn't want it any longer ). It's so warm when doubled over kinda like a sleeping bag.
Great video great tips & tricks on Vanlife winter camping 🙂👍❤️ 1st time here on ur channel from Kingsport TN USA 🙂👍❤️ Also @Jonnies Journey sent me & also it was a pleasure & honor to get to meet you in person this past January in Quartzite AZ 🙂👍❤️
Try thrift store wool sweaters (men), to keep warm, next time. On top of thermals it’s so comfy cozy. Wool existed before thermals for a reason; they still work. 🤓
Oh! An early video that I missed until now! So interesting seeing you go through the process of being in freezing temperatures. This is something I might need to consider eventually. My plan is generally to follow the nice weather once I travel further afield, but if I ever end up in Tasmania (the Island at the bottom end of Australia) in winter, I'd better be ready for it.
Hi again DEE BRRR! Never thought you'd give freezing a try but not surprising because of your adventurous spirit! You surely have a system how to do it and were wonderfully prepared. Takes alot of forethought to get ready for sure. Thinking on the long haul those temps could get very wearing but many are doing it. Safety has to always come first and if all protection is in place and someone enjoys it then great... Another great info vid to help others prepare or decide for their possibility living in those temps. Thinking you'll head to warmer weather but a great diversion huh?! Stay safe and hope your arm keeps healing good. Thx as always and catcha next time.
OMG! When I was at the RTR, I thought "that" was freezing cold at night.😲12.9 I think to myself, just stay under the covers until the sun warms the morning up!! I don't know why, but I couldn't stay undercover. 🤷♀️👍🙋♀️ Thank You! you always have useful content!
Cold weather in the west is much better than the east coast. I'm from Buffalo New York and the cold is brutal. I've always had arthritis even as a child and hated the east coast. Was in Utah and no pain and the cold winter was great. I love the snow Hopefully I will get to move there .
I'm curious....if you don't have a sink or funnel draining into a Grey water jug, where do you spit when you brush your teeth?.....do you have a spit-bottle? Great video again 👏 👍.
Wow that was cold...could tell for sure when your tea froze...Your van is insolated no? and if yes is it foam or something else? Thank you Dee for your experiment...
Couldn't you use a small electric heater and set it where you have your stove? They make really small ones that have built in safety features. Seems like your little van would be perfect for it.
I had one. It was fine. It drained my power station a lot, though. And I had to store it. So, I gave it to someone else who goes to places where there is shore power. I usually am dispersed camping.
This is interesting... we live in Norway and the best time to go away for a night is during the cooler fall, winter months... sooo... hmmm... but that said, we will also be insulating, and we have to keep the dividing wall in place for insurance reasons here so will not have the cold from the cab. And we will be 2... which, goodness, looking at your space, it makes me wonder a bit how THAT is going to go 😂 but, bit late now 😂😂 Van is bought! (& June is start to build out month 🤞🏼). Definitely making me think... and are you using the little defroster at all??
I’m sure you’ll be warm enough-especially with two of you😜 Yes, I still use the little defroster, but the noggle works really well. So I use the defroster as a backup or when I want things to warm up FASTER!!!
Really helpful, thank you again... I'll be boondocking in Alaska a bit this summer but was wondering how long one could conceivably (Comfortably? Safely?) do that.... Your experiment here touched on a few things I wouldn't have thought of, so thanks again for the vicarious experience...
I could have continued. As long as you have gas in your tank-you are probably good. It’s a matter of willingness to stay. For me, the cold is not something I enjoy. So I move out of those situations to warmer areas. If you are stationary in a cold place, I would say you might check into a heat source that works while you are stationary for long periods of time. For occasional periods of colder than I’m used to (2-3 days) this method worked really well. My van warms up so fast and I stay comfortable for hours. If I were living consistently in the cold. I’d want to have a more constant heat source that wouldn’t require starting my van up every time. A lot of Van lifers have diesel heaters installed for that. Hope this helps.🤗
It looks so cold!!! The coldest it gets on my farm is -2C ( I think about 30F). I have been in Canada at -32C and I think I've never manage to unfreeze since!😁😁. All that level of cold and the hot water bottles makes me appreciate how warm it is here in Oz. Of course, summer here can be brutal. Sleep warm Dee.

Thank you my dear! It was a fun challenge, but I’m not one for staying in the cold for sure😛
@@LadyBugout I hear ya 😉☀️☀️
@Lady Bugout thank you so much for such golden information I'm taking it all in
You are so welcome!
You are an amazing, sweet lady and have such a beautiful smile. Those temps are a little too cold for me. Safe travels.
Yes, very cold indeed!🥶
I use portable woodstove. When in use it sits in place of passenger seat. Pipe goes out little corner window that I take out.
Interesting….glad you found something that works well for you🚗🐞💃🏻
Do you have a link for your stove?
I have too many metal parts to do cold, 40's is doable 30's is pushing it. The butane stove works wonders to heat my full size van at those temps and a kettle full of hot water will radiate heat for a couple hrs
Yep! I hear ya… that would not be pleasant. Even with no metal parts it was not pleasant😂🥶😜
Good to know!😛
Great video! I like winter camping. It's so beautiful with the snow
Thank you. For a little while the snow is beautiful 😜
What a lovely spot! Enjoyable video. Thanks heaps for taking us to the snow!!
You are very welcome!😊
All the things I need to learn. Wow, I hope I'm ready.
So glad it was useful!!!🐞
Thank you for all those important tips.👍🏾
You are welcome!☺️
Yes it is! I learned to keep my coats under the blankets too now😜
You do have the cutest little van and I love the functionality and organization of it too. ❤️💕
Thank you Candace! I have been loving it☺️🚗🐞
Oh, WOW! That was a routine I’d not seen before.
😂 every day!!!! Except for the snow pants hahahahah
The last time I went somewhere cold on purpose was back when I was skiing. Otherwise I do all I can to avoid weather like that. I spent two winters in central Canada and that was enough to last a lifetime. I know I can handle freezing weather, I just don't want to. But good on you for testing yourself.
Yes, it is not something I want to be doing regularly but I’m glad I know I can do it!💪🏼💃🏻🚗🐞
WOW! KUDOS for trying, but that would be too cold for me! Hope you stayed warm enough, but in the teens is risky... at best. Glad your wrist is getting better and safe travels! Cheers :)
Thank you Marty! It was so bad. Not my preference. But I‘m glad I know I can do it☺️
The birds singing in the background didn't let the cold temps dampen their spirits. You did great, survived the night at 12.9 degrees. I camped in my Connect at 18 degrees but, I had more bedding than you. I agree the army blanket makes a big improvement in the comfort level. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to the second video.
Thank you Tom. Yes, the birds were delightful! It wasn’t as bad as I expected. But I would not choose to do this if I don’t have to that’s for sure😜
Great idea for a video, seeing how you prepare for a cold night. I'm also following Canadian vanlifers who seem to live these temperatures day in and day out. Very interesting noticing the different practical ideas, gadgets and heaters. Take care 🙋♀️
Thank you. Yes, the Canadians are way ahead of the game😛
My Transit is not insulated either but on really cold days, I hang wool blankets over the inside walls which is helpful especially if it is windy outside.
Yes!!! That is a great idea🐞🚗💃🏻
Left Handers Unite! 43° is a little chilly for my comfort; 50’s for me. Insulation has been the game changer for my SUV.
Lefties unite!!! Yep… 40 -70 is my sweet spot😛
how long does a hot water bottle
last for heat?????? thanks for the vid
All night!
You left us in suspense! Ugh, no tea in the morning, yikes! You’re an astronaut 👨🚀 exploring new frontiers. What an adventure! ❄️☃️🚐
Hahahah. Gotta keep you coming back!😜
Hey Dee, well this is a learning experience. I wonder if it was cold enough long enough to freeze water jugs. No coffee/tea in the morning is no fun. But obviously you have survived. Warm up, take care, head south!
My thoughts exactly😜
Thank you for another great video. I always enjoy your real (van)life approach. There are a few tricks I use when winter camping to stay more comfy. I keep a butane canister in my sleeping bag for morning use. Also, putting water jugs and butane in a thermal carrier with a hot hands keeps them from freezing.
Those are great tips! Thanks you☺️
Ooo much too cold, I live in a static caravan in the UK and it gets very cold in the night during winter, happy to say winter hasn’t been too bad so far this year. You are very brave sticking it out in that kind of freezing weather. Xx
It was cold, but not as bad as I expected it to feel. I got in quite well.🐞🚗☺️
I would recommend not being in damp clothes at all before trying to sleep in cold temps.
Sounds like a great plan!!!🐞🚗💃🏻
Right on Dee, tough as nails you are girl! It was funny watching them out of order, especially when you made your tea.
🤣❤️🇨🇦
😛 I can imagine! Very confusing lol
@@LadyBugout Not at all cause I already knew it was going to be a frozen teasicle, hanging on by a string, by the morning. Cracked me right up, had to pause so as not to miss anything.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's actually sunny and warm ish here in Ireland the last few days enjoying it whilst it lasts .Stay warm & Great Video thanks
Thank you. Glad it’s warm!🐞☺️🚗
Winter camping is hard but gee so is summer. I have it easier in California but you still have to deal with. Have a good week.
Yep. I prefer between 40-77 ish I look for that whenever I can ☺️
Keep your morning clothes inside your sleeping bag/system I heard. That way they're warm in the morning.
Good tip!☺️
Great video! Beautiful editing. An important topic too. I’m in suspense…
Thank you Iishana. ☺️
Wow Dee! I had to wrap up in a blanket this video made me c-c-cold. :) I hope you did ok in the cold. That frozen tea bag...dang!
😂🥶🤗 hope you are staying warm
Great to see how you set it all up when going to bed. I think yours is just about my favourite set up - so spacious, simple, well considered, tardisy and humble, all while being ridiculously elegant (kinda the van version of you, actually 😆)(not the simple bit!). Well done you!
Awww thank you. I appreciate your encouragement ☺️
After having stayed in some super cold nights.. yes we can make it happen.. is it the best.. no...lol
WWUD… get the heck out of there😜
I see these videos where people is still in snow an cold. It makes me appreciate Tennessee even more. We may get 55to65 inches of rain but the cold an snow is at a minimum. Some people like it but my choice is I want none of it. Love 💘your videos
Same. I much prefer the heat🐞
That meal was lookin' legit and tasty.
Lookin' forward to my snow days once the build is done. Will it ever get done.....😩
😂 you’re doing great!!! 💪🏼
Yes! Always good to have a way to stay warm. I am not a cold weather person, but glad I can do it if I need to.🚗🐞💃🏻🥶
I camp in a FTC also.
It was a good challenge for me to come to terms with cold weather. I actually quite enjoy it now.
WOW ! That’s cold. You do look very snug and cosy though 💙
Yes it was cold, but not as bad as I expected😛
5 days ago and I just got the notice 🤔. Good afternoon on this beautiful Sunday in Missouri!
Yes it was cold. Yes, whatever makes you feel more comfortable!☺️🐞🚗
I am so thrilled at the growth in your channel….wow!
Thank you Kim! ☺️
Brrrr, stay safe out there and safe travels🚗
Thank you☺️
How do you store your bamboo towels when dirty and how do you wash them? Your dinner looked delicious!
In the cabinet. And you wash them in laundry. ☺️
Wow, that food looks good.
It is yummy🤗
Great video great tips & tricks on Vanlife winter camping 🙂👍❤️ 1st time here on ur channel from Kingsport TN USA 🙂👍❤️ Also @Jonnies Journey sent me & also it was a pleasure & honor to get to meet you in person this past January in Quartzite AZ 🙂👍❤️
Im so glad you found the channel.☺️
@@LadyBugout Ur very welcome I am glad I found it myself 🙂👍❤️
Finally caught up on your video. You camped in 13 degree weather?! Whoa. Hardcore.
So hardcore 😛
Try thrift store wool sweaters (men), to keep warm, next time. On top of thermals it’s so comfy cozy. Wool existed before thermals for a reason; they still work. 🤓
Yes! Wool is the best!☺️🐞😜
Yep! I usually follow the weather. But you never know-so I thought I’d put myself through it 😜
@@LadyBugout It's good to be prepared!
Great video as always. I hope the warmer days and nights come around soon for you xx
Thank you Yvonne🐞🚗💃🏻
I love your channel! Thanks for all the tips!
Thank you Marlo. Glad you like it☺️❤️🐞
Brrrrrr! I hope I never have to winter camp because that is wayyyyy to 🥶 cold, lol. Your dinner is exactly what I like to eat !
It is way too cold😜
Bet a 110 electric blanket plugged into a Jackery would keep you from having to do allot of that layering etc
Drains the battery too much and it isn’t that much better. I did that at the beginning and was disappointed with the results.
You are brave to do winter camping! I got caught in a 29° weather in Montana and vow not to venture into the cold area for a long time!😁
I know… right?!? Too much. I prefer warmth!!!☺️
Hi again DEE
BRRR!
Thank you! Yep… I am not a cold weather person for sure🥶
Thank you Cindy! Oh I know… I do think our bodies adapt a little. It wasn’t as bad as I thought. But it definitely is not my preference 😛
@Lady Bugout I'd take the cold over heat any time. Spring and Fall are my favorites. 😊
Cold weather in the west is much better than the east coast. I'm from Buffalo New York and the cold is brutal. I've always had arthritis even as a child and hated the east coast. Was in Utah and no pain and the cold winter was great. I love the snow Hopefully I will get to move there .
Wow! That is good for you to find out and great that it helped your health!🐞🚗💃🏻
I'm curious....if you don't have a sink or funnel draining into a Grey water jug, where do you spit when you brush your teeth?.....do you have a spit-bottle? Great video again 👏 👍.
I have a little bowl that I use.🐞
Wow that was cold...could tell for sure when your tea froze...Your van is insolated no? and if yes is it foam or something else? Thank you Dee for your experiment...
It is not insulated. Havlicek wool would be a good insulation!☺️ I am trying to see what I can get away with NOT doing 😜
Great. Video! ☕️
Thank you🚗🐞💃🏻
Burr, stay warm & safe ⛄️
Thank you Martha🐞
@@LadyBugout Ok! Thank you and I hope so, with two of us 😁😂 but it is that getting out of bed moment that is the worst! 😂
Very helpful video!
Glad it was helpful! ☺️
and where is this beautiful camping spot?🐞💙
In Wisconsin.
You go girl!!
Thanks Rita💃🏻
It looks so cold!!! The coldest it gets on my farm is -2C ( I think about 30F). I have been in Canada at -32C and I think I've never manage to unfreeze since!😁😁.
All that level of cold and the hot water bottles makes me appreciate how warm it is here in Oz. Of course, summer here can be brutal. Sleep warm Dee.
Thank you Maurice! Yes… I prefer warm weather any day of the week 😛
