me either, I bought all the gear to charge my aux battery but the guy at KINGS never mentioned that I needed a DC-DC charger, It sounds like a very good idea and good investment but ,... does one really need one? will the system work without one? After seeing this video I will purchase one if it means a quicker charge (and all the other benefits).
That’s a great video but got a question hope you can help me out with it 🙏 I have a client that I’m installing a sound system and his car comes from factory with a dual battery it the toyota LC200 2014 do I need one of these? And do you have any information about which battery should I use to power the amps since it’s not me installing the second battery I hot no idea how toyota wired them together is something I should know that would prevent me from doing a mistake?
I have got generator which doesn't charge the battery really good so I m gonna have solar system next room to it can I have this conected to the solar inverter and ganarator so that way I don't relay on bloody generator charger ?
Gday, I just bought one of these units to use both my alternator and panels to charge my house battery. The instructions werent really clear with the LED indicator. Can you post a video about normal operation and what I should expect the LEDs to display, especially the external LED. Cheers

Hi, I have a very small 56Ah AGM auxiliary battery bank which is made up of (x2) 28Ah batteries in parallel for the refrigerator in my Jeep. Id love to run a DCDC charger between my starter battery and my battery bank but the smallest DCDC I’ve found is 20A which puts out too much power for my 56Ah setup. Are there any DCDC options for a bank as small as mine? I should add that my Jeep has a 160A alternator which is NOT a smart alternator.
Ben. Please inform, is it ok to run an Anderson plug extension lead from my old dual battery troopy through to my caravan? What you say about your IDC25 accommodating a solar panel, is what I'd like to do to keep my fridge going full time in the back of the troopy. But when it suits me, I'd like to power my caravan from the troopy as well. Mate I wished I had your phone number so I could bore you for hours 🤪 But there are more questions I'd like to ask. Cheers for now. Awesome vid!
@@ProjectaAustralia I've watched all the videos but I was hoping to save as few dollars as I have 2 of the IDC 25 and my caravan came with a lithium battery and had the controler wired up in it to charge another battery or side the caravan
@@aussiequest9543 Hey mate, yes it will do a Lithium battery on an AGM profile, however the issues may arise when/if your Lithium battery enters LVD or Sleep Mode this charger cannot wake it up and you would need to jumpstart the Lithium battery to wake it up so that the charger can then see the voltage and begin charging again. Also it would be recommended that if you are planning to charge lithium that you install the temperature sensor cable as LFP is more susceptible to temperature troubles with charging.
Thank you for the straight forward, useful and accurate information. Well done.
I love the video. to the point with no B.S. Thank you.
THANKS! 👏 STRAIGHT TO THE POINT! HAD TO DOWNVOTE 10 OTHER VIDEOS THAT FAILED TO EXPLAIN, JUST TO UPVOTE THIS! 👍
How does that compare to a BC to DC charger? The other RUclips shows almost the exact same thing??????
Thanks mate didn't know what a DCDC charger does up until now.

Hi when using the dc to dc charger cab we connect the same time solar panel is well while it’s already been connected to main battery
Can u use a dc2dc charger on a 12v output on a generator? So it charges a agm battery, as a agm battery requires 14-14.8 v to fully charge ?
Can a dc dc charger be used the other way around. I need to charge my truck battery from my solar via a lithium battery
That’s a great video but got a question hope you can help me out with it 🙏

Hi! Good video. Do you recommend 25a or 40a for the dc dc charger? My battery is 120 ah agm in a simple small van
Great video. Thank you.
How do I connect it to a 24v system my truck is 24v

So why can’t an alternator keep your dual battery topped up?
Do your research. My alternator will be showing output charge of 12volt but my dcdc charger is putting out 14.4 volts.
Solid video legends

Unfortunately at this point, no there is nothing small enough for that size bank in the projecta range
@@bennyblood9372 interesting, I have a small battery bank, never thought to consider this. Will have to look into it
