    As someone who is going through an incredibly depressing art block (and currently bouncing back), my advice to you would be to KEEP GOING. No matter if it's a finished piece or a simple smiley face on a sticky note, find a way to excersize your art muscles daily and nourish your creative spark! And keep ALL your bad drawings. Do not throw them away. You'll marvel at the progress you've made when you overcome your art block. We'll get through this together. You got this! 🤝🏾💙🎨

      Thanks a ton for the advice! Keeping at it, even with small doodles, is solid advice!! And yeah, holding onto those 'not-so-great' drawings is a good reminder of progress.

      I'm doing the small doodling but including practice lighting or positioning with cartoon like characters or page decor and stickers and washi tape. Now washi tape and pattern paper are two anti art block that you can take any shape or color amd turn it into something fun to look at and stick in a journal or sketchbook or decorate a desk or chair...Lol 😊🌸💝

    The forehead always looks normal size to me…I haven’t seen you draw a big forehead yet and I’ve watched some of your previous videos 🤔

      Haha, it might seem huge to me, but I'll take that as a challenge! Keep an eye out for the next video-I'll make sure to draw an extra-large forehead just for you! 😉

    Longtime lurker - your videos are always such a vibe. Even if you think you failed a piece it looks absolutely fantastic. Love the main drawing and even the swatch sheet doodle has so much character. I am a chibi/animal artist but I would love to draw humans as effortlessly as you - defo one of the people I look up to :D Keep up the amazing work and love for drawing! ❤
    To get over art block I tend to redraw something like a manga/anime panel so I am imitating rather than creating. Usually that inspires me to try stuff myself. 🤔

      Wow, thank you for your incredibly kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoy my videos. Your tip about redrawing manga panels is fantastic! It's a great way to get the creative juices flowing focusing on imitation before diving back into original art.

    I didn't have an actual art block, but I felt blah. Ì doodled something, it was ok, but all the ideas I have... May be the weather effecting mood...to much random weather crammed in 1 or two days. I feel like I need a day to recover and synchronize. Is that how you feel? I felt really stoked to do a few ideas and one picked out. Then all the life interference and rapid weather ship.
    Like driving too hard right after a time change. Like having to get up at 5 am and 6 which would have been the 4 and 5 am before the time change immediately following that change the day after and two more days the same week one day apart 😵.
    Maybe, you need a rest from the environment shifting? Loved the hair you gave your drawing. I guess I have been doing art study, like stopping in here. Your art is part of my art study 🤗❤️👍🏽💯

      Thanks for sharing, charof! 😊 It sounds like you've been through a lot lately, with the weather and life's ups and downs. I can totally relate to feeling out of sync when there's too much going on at once. Taking a day to recover and synchronize sounds like a great idea. And I'm honored that my art is part of your art study!

    I think it's nice to do these low pressure type of stuff. They came out great btw! And for the record, Lilla/azula had a normal sized forehead lol😂

    I blame school for being the biggest source of art block. Even when I get a minute to breathe, I still feel too mentally drained to do anything 😮‍💨😴

    • @LucidNeema
      @LucidNeema  5 месяцев назад

      I totally get that! 😔 School can be exhausting, leaving little energy for creativity. Remember to take breaks and recharge when you can!!

    I’ve been in a art block for two years but recently I have started drawing again. I would suggest to find out if your art is being affected because you’re drawing for others and not yourself, and also maybe you’re in a period of change and maybe your style isn’t your style anymore. Or at least that’s what I found common in others and myself

    • @sonnieduval4573
      @sonnieduval4573 5 месяцев назад

      Also not saying you should stop drawing but instead just doodle or do small pieces something that’s not as detailed

    • @LucidNeema
      @LucidNeema  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for sharing, sonnie! 😊 Sharing art online can sometimes make us lose sight of why we started drawing in the first place. We might find ourselves focusing more on what others will like rather than what truly inspires us, which can really put a damper on creativity. Needing to remind myself to draw for myself and not worry about online validation. It's a journey, but an important one!
