All I could think about after this level were the machines that hammered on the converyer belts and had that massive smile across their front. Gave me cold sweats.
I love how the music sounds very machine - like and robotic. This is one of the most creative tunes I've ever heard from the game. This sounds like a massive #1 hit. This is another one of my favorites.
I always liked this song. The whole game had seemed perfected cheerful and upbeat when I was a kid. Then this song came the hell out of nowhere...and I fell in love T_T
I definately remember this. At first it looks like the factory is so warm and inviting from the outside... but then you go inside and it's a crude, mechanical world.
This is one of my all-time favorite songs. It's so dark and depressing. I would love to hear an orchestra play it, but... nothing could ever replace the original.
I loved the music AND the stage. I remember playing this level as a kid, and going to the sound test and just play this song while I did something else.
I was stuck on this level for SOOOOOO long. then after about 5 years I picked the controller up and wiped the floor with the level while humming the music. well Done SilverShadowMusic
The first time I heard this was through Kirby fighters in triple deluxe. I remember being so weirded out when I found out that it was from a game I’d never heard of
Kirby 64 , Bomber 64 And Glover 64 Were 90's Music that i grew up with. these tunes made me the person i am today. (A Good One) A Time i never want to forget. N64 + 1990's = ?
Because of this music and the overall nature of Shiver Star (heavily implied to be Earth frozen due to nuclear winter) I can never look at it the same away again. Even this factory level was creepy. The creatures behind glass, the crushes, the battle with HR/R-3. Seriously HAL, what the eff?
I loved the music and the stage. Apparently 3 people died during this stage, I saw their crushed Kirbies while I was making my way through. Sucks for them.
The ever so sad factories; the machines will always work not even knowing of the monstrosities they are peicing together. The scene best representing this is the hammer machines with the smile of insanity carved upon them.
you guys did notice the burning buildings and the lonely atmosphere and the geography of that star being the exact copy of earth right? Its earth, destroyed by its own mechanical trinkets and creations, the recent world war was its final. There was a cat in a tube in one of the levels, I think humans tried to save some of the animals left but never got far enough with that plan.
Wanna know something that makes this tune that much more scary? 1. Google Image for "Shiver Star". 2. Take a real close look at a picture of Shiver Star in space. Remind you of anything? 3. Pleasant dreams.
The snowy star is basically Santa's Workshop. I imagine that Santa's Workshop is actually just a front for the underground facility, but what they make there, though... God knows. Probably something too diabolical for a Kirby game.
u know....earth is gonna turn to shiver star then this music will be on (i like the first part of the song where it sounds like ur turning on a car lol)
What I hear in this song is some poor bastard trying to pullstart his lawn mower over and over again... the song is about the eternal struggle and captures the emotions very well.
@Subartimaeus So...that's why these men in light blue coats kept collecting my tears in sterile little bottles................... damn you, evil factory!!!!!

...ah yes. The "Oh yeah, this game has insta-kill situations, did we mention that" level.
...with weird biotank things in the background.
They should make more songs like this!
If I ever have to work in a factory, headphones with this blasting all day long will be necessity.
This song is in my head because I had to keep re-doing the part where the walls squish you. The fire power-up helps...
I definately remember this.
At first it looks like the factory is so warm and inviting from the outside... but then you go inside and it's a crude, mechanical world.

Sounds awesome. Fits the level quite well. Also, this sounds actually a bit sad to me.
I never played this stage after I finished for 7 years because I was so afraid of the stage. I come back years later and I'm still afraid.
I loved the music AND the stage.
I remember playing this level as a kid, and going to the sound test and just play this song while I did something else.
Ah the memories of all the things that could instantly kill you...... I always loved this music though!
When I hear this song I think of robots pounding heavy machinery. Who cares, this song is fucking awesome!
A classical version of this would be marvelous.
I was stuck on this level for SOOOOOO long. then after about 5 years I picked the controller up and wiped the floor with the level while humming the music. well Done SilverShadowMusic
Ah, nostalgia...
I remember this song a lot better than the others, wouldent know why, I guess I just like it better
I used to hum along to this song when I played it...
Hearing it brings back a lot of memories, I should get out my 64 again.
oh my god, this and 02 are my favorite. Thank you so so much for uploading these!
hearing this music made me remember all about Kirby: this game, the show, etc. I almost cried
my all time favorite music in this game.
Im glad i bought this game on my wii!
They went and put this on the Dream Collection soundtrack. 0²'s music as well. Thanks for bringing the old nightmares back Nintendo!
They made weapons of mass destruction. Shiver Star is a representation of a post-apocalyptic earth.
I can never look at the Kirby series the same way as its innocence.
Ive been programming to this music on loop for about 20 minutes now, i feel like a fucking power machine!
The first time I heard this was through Kirby fighters in triple deluxe. I remember being so weirded out when I found out that it was from a game I’d never heard of
Good lord, this takes me back
The song expresses the sadness of mechanical live that would be on earth when we leave it...
Kirby 64 , Bomber 64 And Glover 64 Were 90's Music that i grew up with. these tunes made me the person i am today. (A Good One)
A Time i never want to forget.
N64 + 1990's = ?
I love the industrial inspiration here. I get very subtle NIN here.
the best song in a kirby game
This is surprisingly good workout music.

How can one cut be so hype? Shit's profound.
Perfect music for the penultimate world! It's so epic but not like final boss epic, more like the second last really tough level epic!!!
I loved the music and the stage.
Apparently 3 people died during this stage, I saw their crushed Kirbies while I was making my way through. Sucks for them.
I used to be so scared of this level when I was little cuz it was so hard and the music was scary and sad at the same time
changing this to hq or "480p" as its called these days, makes the songs, in fact all of the uploader's songs, so much better.
Jumped ship right after seeing the thread to dazzle everyone with the brilliant theory that you came up with yourself, have we?
"No wait, I can make it!" *slam*
Game Over -.-
ima get this game off the virtual console real soon, cant wait to get to this level, and the seashore levels
Those two are the best songs in the whole series! (In my opinion.)
love this song
wow! I never heard the sound until you said it! they blended it well on the music :)
The ever so sad factories; the machines will always work not even knowing of the monstrosities they are peicing together. The scene best representing this is the hammer machines with the smile of insanity carved upon them.
This tune is very fitting for the level, indeedeedeed it is...
i alway wondered what the heck where doing that things in the capsules
THE PAPER FACTORY SONG 8D omg I love this track there should be an epic remix of it!

3. Pleasant dreams.
@NovaDeFlareStar
Indeed, and the fuel was the tears of broken childhood dreams.
One thing in this level scarred me for life:
THAT F***ING CRUSHER SPRINT!!!
I loved this level of shiver star.
But then i lost my copy and never saw it again.
And then there was Wii.
0:27 MY FAV PART OF SONG
Bag pipes? There's bag pipes in this! This song is great!
They make those bomb enemies, as well as ammunition for Shotzo and Wall Shotzo.
i loved this game
If you look at the planet in the planet selection screen it is clearly a frozen earth. The continents are exactly the same.
I also agree the best part starts at 54 seconds
Agreed. What other game uses a car attempting to start up in it's music? None, as far as I know.
Favorite area.
The snowy star is basically Santa's Workshop. I imagine that Santa's Workshop is actually just a front for the underground facility, but what they make there, though... God knows. Probably something too diabolical for a Kirby game.
I clearly remember the big ol' creepy cat head moving around too...
I remember the creepy cat head...
"Hey dude can I copy off your test?""sure man but make sure to change it up a bit.""Alright I got you"*factory inspection* *studying the factory*
This was my favorite part of Kirby 64.
Did anyone notice that part this music was used in the minigame Snack Tracks from Kirby Super Star Ultra, except it's faster in KSSU?
WOOHOO!!!
I found it funny after a level of a mall, music's all happy...then you go to a fricken factory of DEATH D8
Santa's death robots of the snowy apocalypse.
I keep playing the level on my wii since its downloadable on the wii shop channel.
Creatures/monsters I think, there was that one section with creatures in test tubes in the background.
you know what made me wonder was that the machines were moving. How WERE they MOVING!? '~'
u know....earth is gonna turn to shiver star then this music will be on (i like the first part of the song where it sounds like ur turning on a car lol)
NOSTALGIA OVERLOAD ;________;
@lucdobra That theory's been around for years. Most people that I know who've played it noticed that shiver star was Earth.
Those things with the hammers freaked me out when i was little
amo esta música y la de cero dos tambien
Me and my brother are playing this level right now
dude this level gave me nightmares
this fucking factory was hell for me because of the crushing walls lol
i like this song even if its kinda apocalyptic
And Ooo :)
For some reason this reminds me of Final Destination, with pretty much everything in the level being super dangerous.
yep
0:50 to 1:23 ... Depression.
Shiver Star is Earth after a Nuclear War.
this tune, make me scary, what kind of game for kids have this music? just Kirby Cristal Shard,i love it !
What I hear in this song is some poor bastard trying to pullstart his lawn mower over and over again... the song is about the eternal struggle and captures the emotions very well.
scariest level to me
That factory was so creepy O.o..... A weird pink hippo? some creepy cat thing. a bird. and some witch that has her robes on? idk the thought scares me
no the best part starts at 0:27
o yah
the labs had like tubes full of freaky stuffs that u couldnt hit... weird but good music :)
@Subartimaeus So...that's why these men in light blue coats kept collecting my tears in sterile little bottles................... damn you, evil factory!!!!!
I like getting to ride on Dedede's back on this stage. :3
This song sounds kinda like it's in a minor key... maybe..
MUST GET N64 AND KIRBY 64: CRYSTAL SHARDS OUT OF STORAGE!
no it's shiver star.
@goremand You don't need Google to see it. You can see it in the game that its North + South America and the moon orbiting.
oh you know it
Shiver Star
