Ha! “Except for the intro for some reason…” those are my favorite pick up spacings for jazz basses, I bet if you throw some B-axis pick ups with that pre amp… insanely good tone
I couldn't wait to get this model when I had the chance..then I couldn't unload it fast enough. I did like the string spacing, but some components feel cheap i.e. the eq knobs, the output jack, and good luck trying to get the control and battery access off!
How is the balance between the body and the neck? Is the neck heavier than the body? I mean, does the bass tend to fall to the side of the neck if I don't hold the instrument?
Last time I bought a 5 sting Fort, it was a 34 inch scale and had a very heavy neck dive, so I can't imagine how this one would be. Unfortunately this is never mentioned in reviews.
Hi there A very important information to add : Is the lightweight of this Bass around 3.7 kg compared with others with an average weight of 6kg :-) I took this Bass on two gigs and the only thing to improve for thé moment is the setup of the 3 band equi. With the middle double pot. Which is not very reactive for me Thanks for sharing S.V
That bass is gorgeous, but I think that it was such a poor design decision to make the battery compartment screwed to the back instead of a quick access latch like it is with most active guitars and basses.
@@AlexandarShmex There is already a large, plastic back plate in most guitars, and there is always the option to make the backplate with a quick access latch like Warwick does or put the compartment for the battery on the backplate like some Gibson Les Paul models have.
@@D14V0R05 I know, but on a high price instruments, I like a matched wooden plate, held in by small neodymium magnets. Easily accessible and beautiful.
Nice. If you ever get stuck for ideas you have an invite to visit Luton UK and play my collection properly. I should have the music room refitted by July and have a host of really crappy instruments including 3 home built projects & some 'take care' China builds that would provide a lot of content for anyone considering such a project or purchase. Would consider doing a video myself but don't know how really & you have THE platform. Happy new year.
We have accurate SUBTITLES available in many languages!
Just want to pop in and say i love this channel 👍
Me too!
Is there any with Ebony finggerboard ?
I won't rest untill the playing sections are also subbed
Awesome bass! I wish Cort basses were more available in the US. I totally want one.
Rob Elrick sells them on his site.
black with maple neck looks so amazing!
That’s the first five string J style bass I’ve been interested in pretty much every. I think they did a great job with this one
Lars is the man.

The bass player is very very good! Congrats!
Had a few Cort GBs (74/75/94/99)
and all been great basses.
Best wishes for your new year, Gregor.
Looks like Lars has got his own Bass Face going on. I tip my hat
Damn, what a beutiful bass! It sounds great as well, Cort did it once again :DD
beautiful design by rob elrick
Cort hit it out of the park again.
Nice Bass will order one soon

That was astounding.
Gotta love Cort basses
I went to the shop and tried it. Nice bass... yet I've tried a real Elrich once and there's a very big quality difference
Lars, nice playing as always😉. What would be your personal preference NJS or GB Modern, as a 5 string?
lars is str8 nasty on the bass

I love that bass. I love this channel. I have to get that bass, depending on the cost. Thanks, may the bass be in your face. PEACE!
Most cort bass string spacing is 18mm and this bass is also 18mm.

It's the same Bartolini preamp that goes into 4k Elrick customs.
Didn't get it." Is the weight 3.7 kg". Was that a question or a fact?
@@zeljkozuber6629 it is a fact 😀
This one rocks 🤩
LARS LEHMANN you make any BASS sound great ,🙂🎛️🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
If you had to pick this or an Ibanez 1300 series which is the better choice?
both made in same factory
I've read that the paint finish is very prone to "swirling" and scratches, but I don't know if it's true.
That is just a beautiful Bass! I hope they make a lefty
Would be nice in gold or black hardware
What is included in that high-gain signal path? 👀
How does this one stack with GB Modern series?? Both seem similarly priced and very much jazz bass inspired
I really want to know that because I am contemplating buying one of them !
Sounds great but most 5 strings can be tamed with the use of a string dampner pad
what’s the luthier of the brown bass in the back?
That’s my Supra Sapphire Bass

People are different, I despise the cheap plastic covers, they ruin the look of a guitar.

@@AlexandarShmex Oh yeah by all means, even more when they make the grain of the wood match that of the removable plate.
Nice nice
Does this have a passive tone control function?
Unfortunately No...:-(

for the first time in my life, i want a cort bass
nice bass for a nice price

Not sure £1000 should be described as affordable
Naja, der Titel…. Lieber Gregor verspricht mehr als er hält. H-Saite ist ok, aber man fliegt jetzt nicht weg. Der Rest ist ok.
Bass sounds lightweight, thin and meh!
