Non riesco a capire tutto ciò che dici, perché non parlo bene inglese, ma la tua musica mi arriva dritta al cuore. Grazie.

Hi Jack! I'll always remember with great fondness being able to watch you perform, several years ago now, in front of just a handful of people at Hall Place, for the Old Bexley Music Society in Kent.... and I *do* also remember enjoying the chat between pieces almost as much as the music! 😅
What made it even more incredible, was that I believe you were going to be performing at the Carnegie Hall the very next day, If I'm remembering right!

Hello Jack. I love your first chat & look forward to many more. What a lovely book on Chopin made extra special by the handwritten notes. I am now going to go over & listen to your Fantaisie. The clips you showed have whetted my appatite to hear the whole thing now. All good wishes from the Isle of Wight off the South coast of the UK.

Thank you for the chance to appreciate the composition process behind this work which clearly means a lot to you. As one who tries to compose myself (on a much more humble scale) , I must say it's bewildering process which can often be frustrating and or exhilarating. It is remarkable to me that so many great musicians choose not to compose but are simply content to interpret the work of others, since composition is surely the ultimate form of musical expression.

    Greetings!
I used to regularly go to your concerts in Oxford for many years before I moved up to Yorkshire.
Always first class and very enjoyable...wish that a DVD was available (I have all your CD's) that I could send to my mother (she doesn't have a computer) so she could re-live those magic performances?
All the best and have a very Merry Christmas.
    Regards, Steve Roberts

Wonderful idea for a series and a very enjoyable first video! I've been coming back to your Fantaisie regularly from time to time since you first posted it last year - a beautiful piece beautifully written for the piano.

Nice Fantasy, Jack. Kind of a Scriabin feel to it. You've got the sanitized version of Chopin's death mask, as Alan Walker revealed the real deal in his Chopin biography. That would probably be too grotesque for your studio. Interesting hearing the comments on Ernst's performances. I have an autographed copy of Albert Spaulding's autobiography I found in a second-hand shop.
Really, my hat's off to anyone who can play Alkan's Op. 39 in one concert. Maybe some time you can tell how you paced yourself to do that. Playing Copland's Appalachian Spring while you're up there?
