This game taught me all about the ghosts. Clyde is the stupid one who tends to go the wrong way at times in the original classic Pacman. So him giving away the tips to beat him is a symbol of how he can't keep his mouth shut. He's also the least cruel of the four, which explains why his machine isn't as mean-spirited. Inky is canonically the most intelligent ghost. He doesn't have an actual grudge against Pacman, he only wants to kill him because he's a threat to the ghosts as a whole. In this fight, him saying: "Spooky wanted me to think of a good cut-down if you ever got to me." This actually implies he was waiting for Pacman to get to him, and his attempt to kill Pacman could be either a self-defense in the moment, or an attempt to protect the remaining ghosts. No matter, he didn't actively seek out Pacman to kill him. And the reason the smartest of the four didn't build the hardest machine is because he was determined to stop Pacman sooner, which limited his time to build one. Plus, it's kinda clear Blinky bullies him in the intro scene, which means he could've been pressured. Pinky canonically has a crush on Pacman. This even shows in game 1 where you'd see a few hearts every time she hurt him, indicating she was kissing him. Her fight takes place in the snowy mountain to symbolize her cold heart. Her "blower" is not just an innuendo, but it shows how far she wants to go to kill the man who never wanted her. Her saying: "You want this stupid golden fruit." Shows she doesn't want to actually kill him over a fruit because she thinks there's still more to their potential future if she doesn't. As her machine gets damaged, she gets increasingly angry because she realizes she's going to lose the fight and gets more determined to make Pacman pay for her broken heart. (And side note, it's likely the last two ghosts picked up Inky's blueprints and worked off of them. His was only a prototype they upgraded themselves.) Blinky is the most evil of the four, but he's got one advantage the others lack. He doesn't actually underestimate Pacman one bit. He knew the others would lose and when it got to him, he knew he could lose too. Him saying Pacman will never get past him is just a bluff he's hoping will succeed. He gets angry as the fight goes on because he realizes if he loses this fight, he fails to avenge the others, but it all becomes more and more clear to him he's going to lose. His final gambit is his last phase where he says he can't take anymore chances. He needs to stop hesitating, stop losing focus for even a second, and just go for the kill right here. Him also saying he knew they couldn't take Pacman in the last cutscene means he regrets trying at all, and if you notice, when Inky asks if they free Spooky again, Blinky's puzzled look doesn't change. He knows they'll only lose a second time if they try and isn't willing to go through that stress again.
One analyst to another, you take the legendary gold for golden effort and show ultimate appreciation for the game. You get marks for discovering and identifying the true meaning behind Pac-Man World 2.
Blinky being the only one with a different robot (frog), it makes me kind of wish the other 3 ghost’s robots were unique forms of something other than flying ghosts robots.

I would agree with this , If they actually helped all 3 games with their design, for World 1 Anubis Rex needs to be tone the hell down and some of the level escalating needs to be brought into their knowledge, World 2 has the fire world with such a high spike in its difficulty it turns so many people away from completing it, and the Clyde ( Red Ghost) boss fight is just way too needlessly difficult, not to mention the only different boss fight we get in this game is Binky's frog ( orange ghost ) . And 100% the game should not be as difficult as its been , if you've played the game before you know what I mean World 3 , yeah I don't have much of an opinion on this game since I didn't play it as much as 1& 2 , but I know it had great ideas ! Just really bad execution with how it was done , especially the pacing that was slowed drastically with the ghost invasions that randomly started.

Pac Man is basically like that "I'm Fine" meme. He fought ghosts, undead pirates, a pirate ship, mummies, Anubis' spirit in his tomb, space creatures, King Galaxian, sadistic clowns, a big-ass robot, skeletons and ghouls, another big-ass robot piloted by a ghost, bears, mongrels, a big-ass mechanical frog, more bears, a big-ass mechanical ghost, another big-ass mechanical ghost (but in the snow), another big-ass mechanical ghost (but in a volcano), a big-ass mechanical whale, and a literal-ass demon and he's just smiling as the world burns around him lol.
I've played tons of games with difficult bosses, but Clyde still ranks up there as one of the most difficult to beat. It took me longer to beat Clyde than any dark souls boss or Cuphead boss. I mean sure I was probably 12 when I tried it, but still that boss was agonizingly difficult.
I liked how it was extra challenging. Video games now are often too easy to beat especially when older. It’s fun having boss fights where you really got to focus or try again

Oh my goodness, I liked the first one with Blinky and his frog, but they just got lazy with the other 3 ghosts, they're all basically the same! Clyde in particular, that bastard was the BANE of my CHILDHOOD! He was SO HARD, it took me months to beat him, and the game. lol
I'd love to play this game again if I ever got the chance, hope that this gets a remake like World did And I absolutely love how much personality they gave Pac-Man in the world games, just from seeing him play hackey-sack with the title on the title screen XD
This is how much it took me to defeat them: To defeat Blinky, it took me 1 minute To defeat Inky, it took me 30 seconds To defeat Pinky, it took me 5 minutes To defeat Clyde, it took me a whole month To defeat Mega Whale, it took me 10 minutes And to defeat Spooky, it took me a whole week
Spooky took me 4 years. I couldn’t beat it at age 10 and sold it. bought it again 4 years after and beat it. I’m now 20 and beat him again but it 45 minutes and was insanely hard still

Btw in the japanese version of the game, the bosses only have half of their HP making it more easier. However the character dialogues have voice acting too. Only the Playstation 2 version of Pac-Man World 2 was localized to Japan.

I never got past Clyde as a kid. Maybe I'll get it again some day and finally beat it. I still don't know anything after Clyde I've saved myself from spoilers for 20 years
on one hand, it's awesome to see someone do all these fights (especially pinky and clyde... or blinky.. damn they got the red ghost mixed up) without damage.... but on the other hand... i'm jealous as fuck cause pinky gave me like 7 game overs and that red fuck gave me 4 times more...
My hopes for if this game is remade is that the boss fights get their own specific robot rather than 3 of them being the literal same boss fight in a row and please make Spooky a harder boss
I love this game, as I love the First Pac-Man World (the third chapter, a little less). When Namco decides to do a Remake Trilogy of these three chapters, we will probably all be grandparents already. Come on Namco, you can't bring back only the classic games, we want a Remake Trilogy of the three Pac-Man Worlds.
Boss stragedies: 1) blinky's frog 1st phase: butt bounce on his wooden tongue to damage his health by 1 segment. 2nd phase: get on the steel tongue and re roll into him to damage his health by 1 segment. 2) inky's slaw Re roll into him to damage him. Watch out for his slaws that he spits out of his mouth. 3) dinky's blower Same thing but she shoots ice balls not slaws this time 4) Clyde's machine Hes probably the hardest boss in the game as you cannot rev roll into him. You can only butt bounce on the hub making this boss very tough as you need to time your butt bounces right or slam into lava losing a life. He shoots fire balls and spreads fire all over the place. Like I said, he's very tough probably the hardest in the game good luck 5) megawhale Unlike other bosses, you got checkpoints. Shoot at the obstacles and enemies until you get to the rear of the ship to start shooting it to take 1st segment out. But watch out for the mines it delivers. After each segment, it restarts the process starting with checkpoints. 6) spooky(final boss) Kick him to damage him

Facts: Blinky is red and Clyde is orange.
This is how much it took me to defeat them:
To defeat Blinky, it took me 1 minute
To defeat Inky, it took me 30 seconds
To defeat Pinky, it took me 5 minutes
To defeat Clyde, it took me a whole month
To defeat Mega Whale, it took me 10 minutes
And to defeat Spooky, it took me a whole week
Spooky took me 4 years. I couldn’t beat it at age 10 and sold it. bought it again 4 years after and beat it. I’m now 20 and beat him again but it 45 minutes and was insanely hard still
So you never ate/rest to kill Clyde (Blinky) and Spooky ?😂🤣
@@vittoman4392 No, I had to take breaks from the game, I did ate and I did rest, I couldn't beat Clyde because it was REALLY tough, and I couldn't beat Spooky because he was tough too, but not as much as Clyde, and also because of schoolwork

Btw in the japanese version of the game, the bosses only have half of their HP making it more easier. However the character dialogues have voice acting too. Only the Playstation 2 version of Pac-Man World 2 was localized to Japan.

Being like 6 or 7, I sucked.
I never got past Clyde as a kid. Maybe I'll get it again some day and finally beat it. I still don't know anything after Clyde I've saved myself from spoilers for 20 years

on one hand, it's awesome to see someone do all these fights (especially pinky and clyde... or blinky.. damn they got the red ghost mixed up) without damage....
but on the other hand... i'm jealous as fuck cause pinky gave me like 7 game overs and that red fuck gave me 4 times more...

Clyde is the one riding the first boss. So it's Clyde frog
Clyde's fight is so glitched, you can literally bounce off the glass and not get a hit in unless it's in the very precise spot
My hopes for if this game is remade is that the boss fights get their own specific robot rather than 3 of them being the literal same boss fight in a row and please make Spooky a harder boss

I love this game, as I love the First Pac-Man World (the third chapter, a little less). When Namco decides to do a Remake Trilogy of these three chapters, we will probably all be grandparents already. Come on Namco, you can't bring back only the classic games, we want a Remake Trilogy of the three Pac-Man Worlds.

My only gripe with this game is that Blinky's and Clyde's names are swapped. But other than that, it's a real fun game to play.
Boss stragedies:
1) blinky's frog
1st phase: butt bounce on his wooden tongue to damage his health by 1 segment.
2nd phase: get on the steel tongue and re roll into him to damage his health by 1 segment.
2) inky's slaw
Re roll into him to damage him. Watch out for his slaws that he spits out of his mouth.
3) dinky's blower
Same thing but she shoots ice balls not slaws this time
4) Clyde's machine
Hes probably the hardest boss in the game as you cannot rev roll into him. You can only butt bounce on the hub making this boss very tough as you need to time your butt bounces right or slam into lava losing a life. He shoots fire balls and spreads fire all over the place. Like I said, he's very tough probably the hardest in the game good luck
5) megawhale
Unlike other bosses, you got checkpoints. Shoot at the obstacles and enemies until you get to the rear of the ship to start shooting it to take 1st segment out. But watch out for the mines it delivers. After each segment, it restarts the process starting with checkpoints.
6) spooky(final boss)
