The funny thing is if you take the grains, processed food and sugar out. The red meat does have the same effect and is actually not the problem according to many drs. Like Dr Berry, dr Andrew Chaffee, dr Robert Lustig, dr David perlmutter and others.

That's bc there is no evidence that red meat causes these issues. "Science " and some studies always link red meat with "fast food" McDonald's or Burger King and highly processed foods. Never red meat alone.

This is why I only eat fish and eggs mostly for protein... Broccoli and leafy greens and veggies also.. with blueberries and blackberries, guava ...All fish steamed or baked only. No fried stuff. Drink gynostemma tea and keep weight down

So that guy who had his colon cut out and has a bag there says meat come out totally broken down and absorbed where vegetables are not broken down. He said being a vegetarian created his colon issue.

I know this is an old video but my question is why don’t you study people in groups of their diet people who only eat meat what Are there odds people who only eat vegetables what are their odds...If you study people who eat junk food and meat you can’t say the people who eat meat have a higher risk because it could possibly be the junk food and sugar which raises the insulin which you stated is a cause

It’s not that a diet high in meat is bad, but a diet high in meat and no fiber is pretty damaging to the colon. That’s also the standard American/UK diet.

Grass fed red meat I don’t think applies because of it’s high levels of omega 3. If you eat whatever red meat it is usually high in omega 6 which can increase inflammation. They forgot remove all sugar and eat a low carbs also. It is also super important to get fiber prebiotics and probiotics.

      1. All good points.
      2. Broad generalizations are not helpful.
      3. And can be deceptive.
      4. To support the claim that red meat increases the risk of colon cancer, she should have cited peer-reviewed clinical studies on strict Carnivores.
      5. “The Modern Western Diet” is an easy target when you include everything in it.
      6. This unforgivably short clip didn’t even include challenging follow-up questions.
      7. Such interviews are not for presenting the facts for viewers to consider for themselves.
      8. But to tell us what they WANT us to believe.

I agree although one point you made is a fallacy. Even grain fed red meat with higher levels of omega 6 fatty acids still will not be oxidized. So the main problem is oxidized omega 6 fatty acids (linoleic acid). Now to high of non oxidized omega 6 fatty acids can be damaging to the mitochondria, BUT even grain fed red meat doesnt have enough.
I still however advocate HEAVILY for grass fed and finished red meat, as it has literally 70,000+ compounds that we have no idea what they do. And you're essentially consuming athletic, high quality meat, rather than sick, out of shape animals.

An association was mentioned between higher carbohydrate intake and a higher risk of colon cancer with the idea being that it raises insulin levels. However, there was no distinguishing between refined and complex carbs (wholegrains and vegetables). Stay away from white bread! Wholegrain is fine.
