@boumahdi LS wouldn't be worth it or make any sense to do in the crossfire, with the 5.4 AMG v8 it's all aluminum only adds 100 pounds and everything works like factory
That would be cool but you would have to completely refabricate the engine bay and it probably won't clear the hood. The m113k supercharged 5.5 would bolt right in with very little extra modifications
Wait, so it’s just running the Mercedes V8 engine’s ECU data flashed onto it, instead of the factory 3.2L V6 data? Didn’t that Mercedes V8 originally have a separate TCU or AT coding inside the ECU data? How’d they work with the ECU reprogram, and how did you get it to work with the Crossfire’s stock 6MT? I’ve seen that other video of the 5.7L V8 Hemi swapped Chrysler Crossfire on RUclips, but it looks like they paired it up to the stock 5AT from the Crossfire.
The crossfire runs all Mercedes engine trans electronics, the V8 Mercedes uses the same automatic transmission as the crossfire and modules basically. I'm not sure the ECU shouldn't have any transmission coding in it just a communication line with the auto transmission control unit if equipped. there's a company Mercedes swap shop that does the ECU conversions that makes it plug and play with the v8 wiring harness, the manual trans bolts right up as the Mercedes V8 is practically the same block as the V8 but with two extra cylinders in the front. The hemi swapped one that's been on RUclips for years was highly modified to fit in the engine bay if you look it actually uses the charger/300 LX platform strut towers and I'm assuming they did other engine bay work like modified front cradle to basically bolt in the 5.7 hemi and 5speed trans, very far from a simple swap like this is. Idk if that helped or not lol
Also it maintains the crossfire steering components, ac compressor, alternator and starter. That's hemi swapped one I don't think has any original parts from the windshield forward
Mercedes swap shop, the owners name is Josh chase out of California he did my ecu conversion, he's on RUclips and Facebook. That motor should work as long as the oil pan design has the same front sump look as the v6 in the crossfire.my motor was out of a clk55 so I had to swap upper oil pans for one from a S class 55 and oil pump since the clk55 had a dual oil sump.
I've got an 04 limited with really low miles. Would it be crazy expensive to do this swap? This is unbelievable? Mercedes Swap Shop? Total cost, please.
If your mechanically inclined you can save alot doing the heavy labor yourself like I did. Sourcing the engine is one of the biggest expenses, I lucked out and found the engine at a local salvage yard that was sitting for a few years and picked it up for $800, most of the engine accessories like alternator,ac compressor, starter etc swaps over and you reuse the v6 motor mount arms. I did pay around $1300 for the custom exhaust manifolds from needswings. And Mercedes swap shop did my ecu conversion I mailed it to him and he had a pretty fast turn around for like $700. I also refreshed all the gaskets and spark plugs, waterpump and what not while it was out of the car. Without labor I probably spent $4k total on everything including a new clutch and flywheel. I originally budgeted around $2700-3k for the initial swap but then added to it after I got it started
It's a 6speed manual so doesn't have a tcm, I'm running the stock v6 ecu but sent it out to Josh chase at Mercedes swap shop and he converted it to run the v8 calibration

May I ask a rough estimate of the cost of parts and build, very curious and now I’m going to go do some research but I’d like to have a general ball park. It would be much appreciated! Drive fast safely👍🏽😂
Alot depends on how much you find the v8 for and how much you renew/refresh everything as you do the swap my initial swap probably cost under $3k and that includes the motor refreshing alot of gaskets and spark plugs and what not, new clutch and flywheel, it was $500 to send my v6 ecu out to Mercedes Swap shop for the v8 calibrations, I did the labor myself. I've since done more to finer tune the swap but alot of the v6 parts are reused.
Absolutely amazing car, super nice engine swap ”stock style” well done; greetings from sweden 🇸🇪
True sleeper👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome build, SALUTE to you sir....
Thanks it's a blast especially for how much it all costed me cheaper than a C5 Corvette

Me sitting here with a stock 05 Limited Roadster like 🤤
Want! Amazing you did this
It's alot of fun
What was that 0-60 time? How is she doing now? Have you done any more mods ? Did you get her on a track?
I'm thinking about putting a hellcat,6.2 in my 05.

Great insight, I considered the same 😂😂 wonder just how powerful we can get this car and it still be a daily driver.
How hard was the swap

id actually do 2 of these. a hellcat redeye swapped one and a 6.5l v12 one with a pagani exhaust. would throw a lot of people off
Not a chance you fit a hellcat motor into a Crossfire. Not nearly enough space so that's complete BS
@@MarkHenderson-u2f look up "hemi crossfire" and that'll make you change your mind
someone swaped a hemi so i believe it @@MarkHenderson-u2f
I'm trying to do this same swap I'm confused where to start I have an 05 ml55 engine. Where can I get more information from you? Ecu issues? Thanks.

Stock motor mounts?
Yup

If your still curious I listed it for sale
208 or 209 clk?
Whatever the 2004 model is I did have to swap oil pans and pump from a S class onto it for it to fit
What transmission did you put on him?
Stock 6speed manual
