One of the greatest depictions of Dracula and is historically accurate. This took place in 1462, the year of Sultan Mehmed II's invasion of Wallachia along with Vlad's brother Radu Cel Frumos (Radu the Handsome). Vlad would lose Wallachia despite hit and run campaigns against Mehmed's forces and fled to the Hungarian king Matthias Corvinus' court, where he had him imprisoned on the false charges of treason (they had a tenuous alliance against the Ottoman Empire). His brother Radu would later become Bey and Vovoide of Wallachia with the aid of Sultan Mehmed.
Not really...there's way waaay more than this, the Ottomans were accepted under Vlad II, he was neutral, but then the Ottomans turn against the Wallachhia and begin attacking Transylvania, Moldavia and all the Eastern Europe under the Mehmed II(a very good friend of Dracula in young age) rule, killing Vlad II and the older brother of Dracula by blind him with burning iron and burying him alive...Dracule returned to Wallachia and saw the country ruined by wars and crime, he helped the farmers and severely punish crimes and enemies by...IMPALING. He strike the ottomans by disguise as one of their knights(since he learned perfectly the language in his young age) destroying supplies and farms, he was able to kill around 30000 enemies. Your are wrong though in this...Mehmed II was defeated pretty bad by the hungarian, italian and eastern europe army(still loyal to him). After a while Radu payed by the Sultan Mehmed II, some nobles and blackmailing the boyars was able to defeat Dracula in his Poenari castle and, like you said, imprisoned...Radu died in 1475, and Dracula return, but the men of Radu killed him, the death of Dracula is still a mistery. Sooo who is the real EVIL?
The fact she kill his brother without any objection or showing any surprise is a little bit disturbing. Its like "hello sister, ill kill you" - "fine, ill kill you first"
Nice job! I just finished this game today and I enjoyed it. It forces you to "get good" just like the older 8 and 16-bit games. Hey, would you happen to know how to unlock the gallery in this game. Thats the only thing in the extras I didn't unlock.
The other free Castlevania games from Migami look better than this to be honest, the only interesting thing about Wallachia is the voice acting during cutscenes.
Game is not impossible, but suffers from some "difficult" (unfun) design decisions. For example the midboss at 41:20. You are forced to duck the entire fight, which ducking and aiming is already a problem. You can not destroy the turrets on the walls, it would have been fine even if they respawned shortly after, but no. Parts like these are frustration just to be frustration. There is a lot of beginner's trap moments, where you will get hit or die unavoidably until you recognize the pattern. You also do not have a lot of life, so you are forced to retry certain bosses/areas until you see the full pattern. I think if you started with 2 more max health and didn't lose upgrades (you lose the arrow upgrade just from getting hit!) it would have been fair.
