In their forties Bruce started transitioning but then stopped. Khloe said that she had seen Bruce many times without a shirt and saw no breasts.
Khloe also said that Robert Kardashian told Kris that he heard the rumour that Bruce was a cross dresser. But Kris didn't know Bruce was trans and Bruce/Caitlyn apologized for blindsiding her. When Bruce began transitioning a second he didn't inform his family (maybe Kris, but definitly not the kids). He told them around the time he had the coming out interview. So yeah, it's all a bit messy.
