@@SilkyRonTheRoadAlso it is branch of the original actual tree underneath of which the Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. The Bo tree in India has been destroyed long time ago so this one is the only existing Bo tree related to the Lord Buddha aging +2500years.

4:52 bodhi tree is not the name of that tree, bodhi tree in this gautama buddha (present) is the species called sacred fig tree( scientific name;-ficus religiosa'')
bodhi tree is actually like a honor title, it skip by tree to tree with every buddha who is enlightning, (not a reincarnation ,but some thing like that, ) the next buddha is forcasted to meditate and enlight under the shade of ironwood tree, so after then the bodhi tree hood pass to the ironwood tree from fig tree

Wow! The oldest bohdi tree ! Yes,they specifically support one of the leaning branch with a special pole with something precious! In 2015,I did come to this Same holy place and was amazed! Keep enjoying! Rgds from David, Kampar, Malaysia!

18.05..the lady was climbing in to "Bo" tree..considering it as very secred tree in srilanka..the act can be considered as pretty offensive .. please be careful ...
Oh no, thank you for that, we had a challenge to hug a tree that was wider than we are tall so thought about this one! I hope that it wasn’t breaking the rules! At least we know for next time, thank you for letting us know! 🙏🏼
@@SilkyRonTheRoad Actually it cosidered to be pretty big offence, but since you did not know it and buddhism is not about hate, I think you are ok.. Bo tree/ bodhi tree is the main tree mentioned in buddhism and is highly respected, and women are not usually get close to tree (cultural thing)..but I hope you guys be careful and also tuk tuk rental company need to update their book about trees next year..i guess... but overall we see you guys mean no harm..so chill
