The thing that's genius to me about this is an axcess heel with the wilkinson trem. I'd rather have 2 pickups though.
I'm with you on the two pups, but if I were Joe, or me, and I had axcess (pun intended) to 50 guitars right then and there, I'd keep it one pup because it's meant for a certain thing. I just bought the cool Submarine PU, for my old SG Junior, I have no clue what a neo magnet PU sounds like, but I like the idea so much I had to try it, getting neck PU sounds without hacking up my vintage guitar seems worth a try.
@@TheNeuroticGuitarist I dig single pickup guitars too but a strat style trem and axcess heel would possibly make this my main guitar if it had 2 pups. I might even see if I could get a made 2 measure version like that.

I remember how brass was the bomb in the late 70's/early 80's...I still have my 2nd electric guitar ever, an '81 Ibanez Blazer, (strat copy) and has brass everywhere! GO BRASS!!!

Always loved every single one of those guys! My 8th grade English teacher’s daughter was (maybe still is?) best friends with Joey’s daughter and went to college together. Made me feel like I knew Joey by very distant extension, lol.

Awesome guitar! I like how these look a bit like a rubber ducky. Can't beat the axcess heel, either. Joe Perry was definitely the first guitarist I ever looked up to as a kid just starting to play. I got a picture taken with him when I was 10 on a trip to Orlando at a steakhouse. Cool guy.

This guitar was actually designed and built for a Norwegian music store.
Perry was in the custom shop played it and demanded he be given it, (like a petulant child).
The owner of the Store agreed to him getting the prototype, the first one made after that is currently up for sale near me.
