Nebraska is full of surprises. The mountain bike club Trails Have Our Respect (THOR) is ACTIVE and doing a fantastic job maintaining and creating new trails. Platte River State Park is just about halfway between Omaha and Lincoln, so it's a big hub of the Nebraska MTB community.
They've just added a new parking lot, bathrooms and all kinds of nice facilities for mountain bikers. It's great to see people coming together for a great cause.

🚐 Curious about my van? Here's more info: bkxc.bike/the-van
There's something about the sound of the wheels on the dirt. It's like MTB ASMR
Makes you wanna get out and ride yourself, huh?
Shit, never realised why I watch so many trail videos and you hit the nail on the head... ASMR!!
I love this channel he just rides and that’s what I love to see
Yes.
Yes
Local guy is shredding it up!
Nebraska is like the last state id want to visit behind iowa and the dakotas, but these trails look pretty cool.
BWHAHAHAH ....you'd think they would have the best bike trails ever. All they have is land and not much else.
@@robsnow2099 we got no mountains though. Most trails out here are xc style :(
@@jensongroff The could be a lot of fun! Imagine what you could do with dirt mounds and such. Nebraska home of the largest man made bike part! (make mountains lol)
@@robsnow2099 I'm in
Nebraska deserves a lot more respect.
Yep - this place is LEGIT! Bring your climbing legs, folks. I rode there yesterday - 1800 ft of climbing in 10 miles, and there are many miles more to ride. If you’re traveling thru NE on I-80, it’s worth the detour. Thanks for the great ride video (here and at Lewis & Clark in Iowa) - our hometown XC shreds!
Thanks for visiting my home state
No panic breaking...looks beautiful there
Good times, Platte sits on river bluffs above the Platte River and is quite beautiful - but can get super humid and hot in the summer!
Moving Right Along
Platte is really fun. Lots of nice descents with immediate ups. It is tech in places. I am glad you got to hook up with Chris and Jason. 2 super rad dudes that really know the trails.
Love this place favorite place to ride
Pretty rock falls. "whoo-ha-whoo"...your signature call. Need that on a T-shirt with your logo. :-)
Thanks for another cool video BKXC!
Glad you touched the 300 years old Oak. It yields blessings and energy 😊
I’m blown away of what Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa have to offer…seems like expansions and new trails are constantly popping up! Thanks for showcasing our trails. It’s definitely the good life out here
I was just there Saturday. My chain broke so it was a short day for me. Sad I missed ya. But glad you enjoyed. It was my first time there myself.
I think I seen your van go through Norfolk
You should do a Canadian Provincial tour next year! Love your videos!
From Nebraska! Born raised and living let’s go
The bent oak tree might have marked an old Indian trail. We have those in Michigan.
He must have meant 300 year old oak. 100 year oaks are everywhere, and not that old considering.
Ahhh I’m bedridden for awhile... took a stick through my leg. Missing the trails, for sure! Watching MTB is my life now, I guess.
Always love the gully’s the best!
Loving the 50 state shrewd I appreciate the hard work
Was strange seeing you pop up on Trent and Allie, I was thinking wtf I recognise that van 😂😂
+1 Enjoyed their story of branding, and your early assistance. 👍
Western South Dakota is Awesome! And great riding in the Black Hills. You'll enjoy it.
Thanks, Brian!
Much improved since I rode there in the 90s!
I watched this video today but it was still awesome
Sweet!!
I smile through each of his rides. Fun!
Looking forward to the SD video, some killer fun stuff on the west side of the state. You'd enjoy Hansen Larson right in Rapid CIty, and Storm Mountain off HIghway 16 towards Mt Rushmore is pretty great and some great lookout spots if you watch for them!
Best part about going across the state is the raised speed limit. The crosswind can be brutal! Enjoy
That so amazing
I'm always watch BKXC and like(subcribe too) since 7 months ago went i just start my mtbiking, i enjoy to watch your video n get inspired, thank you so much.
Great Ride,it's so good to see .
Awesome trails...good luck on the rest of your adventures.
Hi Brian great videos, your going really well with this 50 state shred. I like the comment about the 100-year Oak tree. I regularly ride around a few oak trees here in the UK some ages of the trees are dating back 1100 years and one tree in particular was supposed to be Robin Hood's tree🏹👊😊
Some sweet trails again....so nice man. Im jealous
trails look awesome
I was SO hoping you'd hit this spot!!! This was my trail system in college...back in the...90's :D
It is soooooo different! But, the trails on the west side near the pool (now splash park) are back in action and maintained over the past couple of years. We should have 20+ miles of trails there by the end of next summer!
@@methodbikes4696 that is amazing! Back in the day, we could only ride the West side at certain times... Due to the horses that were allowed over there. Glad it is growing, I hope to ride there again some day!!
this is dope, id love to ride there sometime
Hit us up and we'll show you around! :)
I just watched Trent and Allie where you visited them in Utah and am now watching your video. Is it a coincidence both videos came out on the same morning?
Awesome video! It’s been cool seeing our home trails get some love!... There are some pretty cool skinny logs over ravines on the new side so hopefully you got to hit those!!!
We rode most of the trails but it didn't all make the edit - good times out there!
I really miss having a mtb
You need to come back to missouri and ride in KC . You'll be impressed I think.
I’m from Omaha area and can’t wait to go there! Hitting switchgrass this weekend
I will be hitting this soon thanks to your vid! As well i will be hitting Lewis and Clark in Council Bluffs. Keep on grinding!
That whole waterfall area was gorgeous! And the trails looked nice and flowy.
One of the best sections! (But also an area with a lot of hiker traffic on weekends.)
The way he said and than Lincoln
Woooohhooooo yeeeaaahhhh you are a true Adventurer mtb rider. Excelent work. Thath video is an inspiration for me an many riders in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 Island. Go ride.... wooohhoooo.
Nebraska looked like a fun trail, have a safe journey & be safe.
We surprise folks out there with over 10 trail systems within a couple hours of driving, most on river bluffs in the Lincoln - Omaha corridor.
Looking forward to sampling these trails towards the end of the month.
Finally!! My home state! Thank you for visiting man!
This made my day :)
Best mountain biking videos on youtube!!
Love it
That looked so fun. Rollercoaster ride. Hoping you get a low smoke day when you hit Colorado. Fires have been awful. Maybe the Palisade Plunge will be finished and open by the time you get here. Safe travels as you finish this grand adventure.
I know you already went to Ohio but if you ever want to try some old school single track you should go try Harbin park trail in Ohio I think it is 4 1/2 miles or so...
When you come to Portugal to do the good tracks we are on here, in our beautiful country?think about it👌
Nice shirt!
Your a legend
headed towards the fires... should have started in the northwest ... stay safe... love the content.
He was recording these months ago
Looks awesome
loving your travels bud.
You should have done the Mount Trashmore flow trail if you were in Cedar Rapids for any period of time. Not that it would make a lengthy video appropriate for the series, just a fun ride on Cedar Rapids largest hill\former trash heap.
I love how a bunch of dark-horse states have just blown expectations out of the water
Yeah the flow in the trails of this one and Indiana was a blast to watch and daydream about riding.
steven christiansen : also Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota really showed well for themselves.
We surprise folks with 10 trail systems within a couple hours of driving - mostly on river bluffs in the Lincoln - Omaha corridor :)
This is one epic series
Another great video! Thanks
“Everybody was calling this the whale tail... It’s more like, ‘the ditch’” 😂😂😂
Omg only 10 STATES LEFT!! holy crap
Great video and you all doing awesome job!! Hi. Have a good day and evening and weekend. I hope all is well
oh yeah
Watching from the Philippines! 🚴
Nice
Which one has been your fav so far? And good job keeping up with Chris, he was a very elegant/fast rider.
Getting closer to Rapid City 👀
If you come to Utah come up to Cache Valley. We have some great trails.
I need summer to come i need to ride!
10 states to go!! Keep up the great work!
your video looks incredible
Taking the high ground on the turns 🤙
Almost to Colorado!!! Are you going to Valmont bike park?
Do you have your Montana ride planned yet? I'm excited to see what you choose!
Got to take the time to smell the 300 old trees along the way 👍
My only concern is what I am going to watch when you finish 50 state shred hehhe.
Montana must be next can't wait to see where you ride.
Plays looks awesome... BACK IN AUGUST 🤣 hopefully you've knocked the other states out and now working on Alaska and Hawaii
Best way to start a vid........
been waiting for my ripmo v2 for a while now. said it would be ready 1.5 months ago. hit up my dude at N + 1 after he ghosts my calls... hey man, where's it at? Oh another 2-3 weeks.
When will you be in Idaho Brian? You gotta come ride McCall.
Good riding!
Very Nice🤩, are you still recording with gopro4 and karma? it is very good quality.Saludo desde 🇪🇸
Wait, no Nebraska history lesson? "Come on Man"
Nebraska was once called “The Great American Desert”.
And the state nickname used to be the “Tree Planter’s State”, but was changed in 1945 to the “Cornhusker State”
Nebraska, home of the Runza sandwich.
Nebraska, it's a state in the middle of the United States.
Nebraska, home of Omaha Steaks.
Good 👍😊😊🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Good luck dude ....im just wandering how u will deal with the mountain in the weather of alaska...im just waiting for that trip...big up man
Turtle Mountain in ND = 150' LOL you'll have to pedal downhill..... LOL
Nice!
Me and my friend hit a wasp nest out of that bike stand and killed all the wasps haha
Super
hello what a funny video i am a very fan of yours i watch almost all your videos, percent which camera did you use for this video thanks
God ride safe sir
Did you say North Dakota is flat? Yes, most of the state is but have you seen the Badlands and the Maah Daah Hey Trial? I suggest you do some research. There's a great race the first weekend in August.
Man, I'm bummed you came to Nebraska, and didn't shred the northwest corner. That's where Nebraska has some elevation.
🇺🇸
Brian, what’s your plan after the 50 state shred?
