They're is a Rayquaza day on August 3rd that you can remote raid (they are trying to push the mega and not the shadow)
what other comments say makes 0 sense, because kyogre and groudon also got crypto while also having proto raids. That mega rayquaza comes twice isnt logical reasons, since they fucked up and this is just a way to say sorry for last mega raid day

I do have a single shadow shiny lugia from October or November 2023, I’d recommend using a catching buddy because shadow lugia constantly backflips and is super far away so really hard to time good throws
I just did the math and 40 remote raids is like $60 worth of coins. Boy do i miss when you could get like five passes for one coin during covid

Yes, shiny shadow Lugia came to Pokémon go back in October 2023. I was actually lucky to get a shiny myself. So glad it’s coming back.
I appreciate all this news. Personal gripe I just want to mention is that I do not understand how you could get less than a 3 start in “elite” raids.
Minumum floors are 10/10/10. If you get 10/10/10, you iv is like 67% that is below the percent for 3*. 3* is 75+. 2* is 50-75. 1* is 25-50. 0* is 0-25

@@grandsalt24 The percentage for 3* is at least 82%, 80% or below is 2 stars at max
or just say that 15 is the max for all stats, 45 total. if you have more than 8 missing (less than 37 total) then it will be a 2 star. since the floor is 10 for all 3 stats, or 30 total. its quite probable that you end up with a 2 star. my personal complaint is that it seems that the higher stats are rarer than the lower. 1/64 but ive done over 400 raids and only 2 were a 4 star.

Piece of advice: wait at least a day to use your rocket radar. Last year they didn't turn it on until a day or two later. Which means the old pokemon might still be active.

Dragon Ascent's the permanent key to Mega Evolution as well as 400 Mega Energy, so that move needs to stay on Rayquaza.

Mega Rayquaza will only appear on Saturday, not Sunday. Saturday 11:00 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time. So not 40 remote raids (unless you use the time zone difference to your advantage I guess - and reside in Europe, because if you reside in the US and try to join the Europe ones it will be Friday, so 5 remote reaids at most).

Can I swap the charged move for Rayquaza after I’ve mega evolved it?? Dragon Ascent kinda sucks as a flying type move and I’d rather it know a dragon type charged move.

Mega Rayquaza is the best pokemom overall. Its even on some raid cointer lists for FAIRY TYPES, like xerneas. I have a hundo rayquaza and a shiny, im hoping for some more ray ray luck!
Adventure Week watered down, and now this TGR Takeover watared down, with regular shadow Lugia and shadow...Cresselia. TGR Takeover has its useful functions, but that's all I'll benefit from this time around. Mega Rayquaza raids not being Elite raids, is the big banger.
Niantic should make it so if you walk up to a shadow raid you can invite people to that raid

It’s not being redone because people like me who tried to do the raid got booted out of the raid as soon as we defeated Mega Ray and almost had it to us a second time on our last attempt which had 30 seconds before the raid disappeared

Honestly everyone says don't purify shadows but if u look at pvpoke and pokegenie u will see shadow is most the time far behind the normal or purified version... so if cress is 23 it's shadow will probably b around 45-50

Looking forward to and dreading this event Cresselia is a top 10 favourite Pokémon for me so this is great however I would really really like shadow shiny Trapinch. Also thank goodness Rayqquaza is back the elite raid day was awful I only got 3 raids done there was so much walking around and rushing to other gyms also lost 1 of the Rayquaza and the 2 that I got were both 2 stars. Lugia is one of my favourite shiny Pokémon I'm looking forward to that!

The last two Elite Raid Days kinda sucked. Enamorus was horribly timed due to a midday, midweek in person raids. Rayquaza was a flop as well but better because of it being on a weekend.

Rocket take overs aren’t going to be the same now that niantic has put a limit of around 100 grunts in a 24hr span so no hardcore grinding grunts lol
just asking will the spawn be small again? in my country i have minimum spawn of elite raids of mega Rayquaza like for example 4 to 8 spawn of elite raids only but almost a hundred something gyms are available but no elite raids, why is that?
