Yeah, definitely. Also looking back over this clip you and I both hatched a shiny Mime Jr with the same CP on Shinx day! Just a little thing I thought I'd share :)
But Blissey is pretty good for gyms. Of course people can just golden razz slakings or use a mach amp against your blissey, but it's still good at least with psychic.
Spiritomb is pretty decent in the great trainer battle league. It's always in my party As for Noivern, I refuse to spend real money on the game but luckily I'm a mailman. Still took a stupid long 5 months to buddy walk to 400 candies. I just think it's cool looking.
With respect, I disagree with many of your assessments, since many of them have great uses in the GBL, especially in certain niche cups. Gligar: Its evolution, Gliscor, is a prominent corebreaker in the Sinnoh Cup, and handles Bastiodon really nicely. Hitmontop: An interesting spice pick for GBL, and a prime choice for the Johto Cup given its typing as the only pure Fighting Type in Gen II, armed with Close Combat + Stone Edge. Nosepass: Its evolution, Probopass is a great tank that can has the rare ability to counter many flyers, Bastiodon, _and_ Jellicent. Shines esp in cups where G Stunfisk is not allowed. Spinda: XL Spinda is a _very_ spicy pick in the Open Great League. Zyonik has a great video showcasing its abilities as a flex play mon using Icy Wind and _Dig._ Druddigon: A sub-1500 Drudd from special research is an absolute boss both as a lead and a saveswap in the Love Cup, as it is the only dragon to feature there, and is armed with Night Slash. Pawniard: Bisharp absolutely walls Giratina and is a surprising play against Walrein in the Ultra League. Few people respect the power of its Focus Blast. Glassy, but strong. I've even seen -- albeit rarely -- Pawniard feature in niche cups with its Fury Cutter quick move. Rockruff: Lycanroc with Psychic Fangs is a solid counter for many Great League tanks (even Walrein!), and counters flyers surprisingly well because of its part-rock typing/moveset. Seen it gain prominence in leagues where fighters are not allowed, but even so, Psychic Fangs can easily one-shot/debuff any Counter users that aren't Def. Deoxys or Obstagoon. Salandit: Salandit _dominates_ the Element Cup, and if you are somehow blessed to hatch a female, Salazzle is an absolute glass cannon with its Incinerate + Poison Fang/Dragon Pulse combo. A powerful play in the Great League, and alarmingly good in the Halloween Cup. I write these given my past experiences in the GBL and what I've seen + how they're used. My fair opinion is: don't spend an exorbitant amount of money for any one particular mon, but be on the lookout for them; they may just give you that much needed win, especially if you PvP a lot (like I do, lol). Even something like Miltank can see niche uses if, for example, it learns Rollout in the future.
We need this comment pinned. Only thing I disagree with is druddigon because it hasn’t posed any struggle to me in Gbl and salandit (only because I don’t have one so I can’t really give my thoughts on it). Other than that on point with your views 👍
@@bean.5367 Thanks man. Perhaps I should elaborate on Druddigon, in that has a niche play in the Love Cup, as it provides a solid counter to Talonflame, Alomomola, Electrode, and even G. Gliger & it’s evolution are actually extremely good in Great & Ultra league, that’s what makes the shadow shiny version so “infamous” as you put it. - Amazing video! (:
Being from England, Mr. Mime is stupidly common to the point I have hundreds of Candy's for it without using the pinap berry. So when the awkward ice one was made available I was able to evolve it right away.
Same here. But actually GETTING Galarian Mr Mime was the hard bit. Especially since I only got mine through Research Breakthroughs in Winter 2022/2023.

I miss Unown in this list, like it's cool to get all the letters but it literally does nothing and is ridiculously rare, especially outside paywall blocked events. Other than that, great list!
Im gonna assume this is said without concern for PvP because Shadow Gliscor is rank 26 in Ultra league and non-shadow is 85 and hitmontop is 60-something in both great and ultra league
I ended up getting a 100% galarian Mr. Mime during that event; That I evolved to Mr. Rime. Also I was about to put Noibat as my buddy to get the candies for evolution but now that I know it sucks, I'm probably not gonna do that. So thanks for the heads up.
I’ve had Noibat as my buddy for a few months now and I’m nearly there to evolve it. Sucks to know it ain’t great but least it can go towards the collection lol
I currently have a 89% Noibat as my buddy (for 72 days now best buddy ribbon) and sitting at 344 candy…almost there. But a little tempted to use rare candy just to be done with it.
Love this list. But back when I was still new to the game and didn’t have that many pokemon for pvps, my probopass was the champion in my collection and won quite a few battles for me. So I guess it’s not all that useless.

Klink is a very spicy great league battler. I don't know which move I have, but I have one with 1498 cp. It's fast move is super fast and only takes 3 1/2 hits to charge charge move. Very great for blasting shields quickly, does decent damage to meta relevant pokemon. Its by far my number 1 great league battler, where I win roughly 67% of the time.
I have a story about Druddigon: On Bonfire Night in the UK me and this kid I cannot remember his/her/their name but it was just me and them/her/him doing a 3-star raid for him and we defeated it and the CP of it was 1819

I’ve been playing Pokémon Go for over three years now. I’ve only caught ONE Noibat in my entire time on this app. I hatched it, and it has bad IVs. But I still have it today.
I’m here after Miltank and Runerigus were buffed. Now Miltank is great for the Ultra League and Runerigus is good in the Ultra League but Top 20 in the Great League.
For evaluating a pokemons battle use,I think… Is CP high? Is it a decent 2/3 star? Does it have good moves? Because I’m a simple person,if a Pokémon meets all 3 criteria it’s qualified.
When i saw the hitmontop, i remembered the time when i was looking for my 100th shiny dex entry and clicked a hitmontop, not expecting anything. Boom. Shiny. klink reminded me of my friends shundo klink and druddigon reminded me of my first raid being shiny.
I'm the type of gamer that DESPISES p2w games & players, and i can confidently tell you that i have gotten dozens of klinks out of the research breakthrough packages. I dont spend anything on any game and yet i got enough of them to get it to its final evolution so it is definitely NOT blocked by a paywall.
Shiny Gligar was my first shiny I got and it was as I was being driven to school. I would just open the app and sometimes a Pokémon would spawn as I was in a car and it was a day like any other until half way to school and a Gligar and Zubat spawned and I picked the Gligar and as it zoomed in, for a split second it disappeared out of range and then I almost had a heart attack seeing that beautiful blue boy, then I launched a ball at it and the rest is history. Now its years later and I play rarely but have been playing it more and I am two weeks away from graduating high school.
I have actually had a lot of success with Hitmontop in the (open) Great League. It’s an amazing closer because of STAB Close Combat. Stone Edge also comes in very handy against unsuspecting Flyers
Mystic7 - youre wrong about Chimecho, it gives 3000 stardust if you catch it while you have a star piece running and like 2k without....worth for the stardust if you see in wild.

Because I’m a simple person,if a Pokémon meets all 3 criteria it’s qualified.
I’ve hatched 35 12km eggs and not hatched a SINGLE Sandile. I’ve been looking for one since it came out because I really like Krookodile’s design.
When i saw the hitmontop, i remembered the time when i was looking for my 100th shiny dex entry and clicked a hitmontop, not expecting anything. Boom. Shiny. klink reminded me of my friends shundo klink and druddigon reminded me of my first raid being shiny.
Gligar(Shadow) and Gligar are now respectively the 4th and 5th best Pokémon for great league battles.
I got a shiny miltank during an event when it was the only thing you could get in the Go Battle League, I named it utter chaos
shjould've named it udder chaos
Chimecho & Pinsir are spawning a lot more in the wild now.
The premise is catching for usefulness and high IV’s. Shinnies and Entries are a given. Catch ‘em all
Sometimes I think this guy don't even know the game
I have actually had a lot of success with Hitmontop in the (open) Great League. It’s an amazing closer because of STAB Close Combat. Stone Edge also comes in very handy against unsuspecting Flyers
What is STAB?
@@dgreatpeter same type attack bonus
You forgot you could get 1 Druddigon from the collection challenge that was out during the Dragon Spiral event.
It's hilarious that you brought up Pawniard. I just hatched my first egg and it was a shiny pawniard lol
Mystic7 - youre wrong about Chimecho, it gives 3000 stardust if you catch it while you have a star piece running and like 2k without....worth for the stardust if you see in wild.
Oh my god you're killing me with this list I've only been playing 6 month's and I have all of these Pokemon!!
