@@gogokaradzhinov8741 probably didn't need em, all it takes is a gratuitous cameo by one of the franchise's original cast members, and you've got another direct sequel to the *Friday the 13th* franchise, even in spite of it being fanmade
All I can say is wow! This film is amazing. It's actually so good that it ranks higher than a lot of the actual Friday the 13th movies in my favorites list. You guys definitely have something special here. Sean Cunningham and Victor Miller need to take notice and reach out to the individuals who made this film in an effort to bring something like this to the big screen.
Met Thom Matthews in Houston last month, and he hipped me to this flick! Incredible work, all around. Doesn’t feel like a cheap fan film at all…this seems like a well made, lovingly shot, professional flick all around. The tension that runs throughout is palpable, and really offered more thrills than 90% of today’s horror films. Great job!
Love the way Kyle just stood there in shock, fell over, got up and basically turned around and bolted in absolute terror, 'cause that's what you would probably do in real life. You'd just run!
No! Jason is mad because he's a 74 year old virgin whose never got any poohn a day in his life. All these people coming to the camp getting laid and he can't get any.
In the other movies, when ever the characters got caught by Jason, they sat there and were waiting to die, but in this one, the guy fckn booked it and actually fought back
I never understood why these big company's don't reach out to guys like this when trying to renew something u have die hard fans that can give great input
Can I just say how this Friday the 13th fan made film is awesome! It seriously puts Hollywood and the studios to shame. This is by far the best I’ve seen. Jason looks so kick ass it’s hard to see this guy as a frightening serial killer. Amazing job guys. And I’ve now rewatched this like a dozen times already. This is how good I found it.
I like how when he's debating crossing the private property sign, Jason is just chilling, waiting on him to fuck up. Like "once you cross that line, your right to live is revoked." Jason just wants to be left the fuck alone.
LiveOkie 1, It's a joke. 2, Taste doesn't always mean good food and shit. Satisfaction can be seen as a joy and the fact that he’s hiking alone is like a great taste of satisfaction for Jason and now I really had to explain you a joke... smh.
We had to hold onto that secret and keep it under wraps for 10 months! Seeing reactions like this made all that stress worth it! Happy Friday the 13th!!!!
LOL I believe Thom Mathews at a Q&A said he was working out something to make a cameo for it but oh well.... Not a lot of people caught on to it. :P Course I thought he said he was playing a Cop. Maybe that was another fan film.... IDK.... Still it was cool to see Thom Mathews pop up. He should return to Acting. Thanks for getting him to a Cameo. Badass between this and the video game.
This is by far Jason’s fastest victim. That fact that he was literally fighting with Jason and was winning was insane. Bro was literally dodging all of his attacks like it was nothing. He is probably on Teenage Tommy Jarvis’s level of fighting.
This guy doesn't realize that everytime he goes into a cabin without hiding in a closet, the building is highlighted in red on Jason map..... What a complete noob.
No one: Me: *trying to spot Jason in the background every time the hiker records* Edit: holy cannoli I never thought I would ever get this many replies lol
This movie is absolutely astonishing. The acting is solid, the cinematography is great, and Jason is actually a real threat. I love the fact that Kyle isn't cracking jokes through his fights with Jason, and how Jason isn't a lumbering fool. I feel for Kyle, and his pain is more real than what I have seen in a Friday film so far. I can safely say that this is my favorite Friday movie, and will remain because of the actual care and love it was treated with.
I like how he's not a lumbering fool as Well and the 2009 reboot does a great jason with a mediocre movie but again an astonishing jason my favourite so far and this is also an amazing movie where there is jump scares and suspense whereas the older ones (given the benefit of the doubt because their old) are lumbering Jason's killing 10s of campers but I quite like this hunt to kill aspect we see in jason in this movie (kane hodder one of the best Jasons)
How did a fan do it better than the franchise itself? The 3 major jump scares got me so bad I was cursing the screen! The twist ending was amazing, the cinematography was on point. To all the people that watch this NEED to share the crap out of this, share it with RUclipsrs that will react to this and promote this. MORE PEOPLE NEEEEEED TO SEE THIS FILM!!!!!!!!
I have never seen a full Friday The 13th movie, but after this I will. This is absolutely amazing. I was so invested in the movie and all the characters. Jason is actually scary in this. I love this movie. Great cinematography, action, makeup, special effects, music, everything. And to top it all off, its free. If I where to buy a ticket and watch this in theaters, I would leave EXTREAMLY satisfied. I only wish this movie was longer
The minute I heard “Hey maggot head!” I had a flashback of tommy on that John boat luring Jason out into the way with that rock and chain. Damn. This is the way you do fan service.
The footsteps are a bit much. They were trying to sell that Jason was much bigger than the actor actually was, I get that, but it feels like he had softer footsteps in Freddy vs Jason.
A bit slow paced but it actually built the main character and suspense. I liked how those numbers were laid around and you knew exactly what was there before. Good how you brought it into urban exploration modern horror, and the actor was good too. Interesting how having a competent main character actually made the movie better.
As good as this is, and it's good, I just want to know more about the three-piece collapsible shovel by Landon Industries. I mean I know it's easy to assemble, amazingly strong and multi-purpose, but then it just kind of trails off......
"Never Hike Alone" is right. Always bring a friend that you know you can outrun to ensure the killer gets distracted with them so you can make your escape. Jokes aside, this was awesome. I wasn't sure if it was even possible to make Jason scary again with how ridiculous he got in most of the sequels but damn this made me scared of Jason again. They should give the people behind this fan film full control of making the next full length Friday feature film.
Hard to belive this is fanmade, even with so few characters they make an awersome work, excelent photography and acting I love the "The Shining" style intro and foreview of the lake, and the way they add a sound effect to Jason's footsteps to make him look like a titan (even if that sometimes remind me Cell from Dragon Ball Z) and the references to the movies, like the names of the rescue team members ( TOMMY F*****ING JARVIS IS BACK LADYES AND GENTLEMEN!!!!!) Hope they make more awersome movies like this one, amazing
As a huge Friday the 13th fan, I can't believe it's taken me this long to see this. This was great. So much tension and the MC was great. One of the only times I wasn't rooting for Jason. Loved it❤
Incredible cinematography. This shows that "fan films" done well deserve the spotlight 10 times over the big hollywood companies that have only money in their eyes and treat the franchise as a cash cow
Who cheered when Tommy Jarvis showed up?🤘🤘🤘 Very cool to see Tom Mathews reprise his role as Tommy😊 Downloaded this and made it a DVD. My friends are gonna shit when I give them copies. If you kickstart a sequel I'll definitely donate. This thing is so well done. Puts to shame the last few Friday films. The people who made this know what a proper Friday the 13th film should be like. This is just incredible to see.
Markis5150 I luv the actor.....ROTLD PART 1&2 r insanely fun and funny as well. This was better than any newer horror films! Except maybe the nun, saw series, as below so above, paranormal activity, cabin 48, grave encounters 1 2&3 ( not really scary for sum, but is more hell than most realize). And a few other indi films I’ve seen that were creepy as fuck. But this movie kills most Hollywood films for the last 15 years....n that’s pathetic! Can u imagine if this film had 1/50th of the budget of bird box or something stupid like that? Be mf awesome! One bit of criticism tho; I wish there was a couple more earlier kills in the movie!! Like...sum other campers unrelated to the star, or the stars friend that he could have brought....or a homeless guy
Friday The 13th is a garbage series. Each movie is worse than the last. And the fact that you're cheering a dumb character from the trash sequels is fucking pathetic! 🖕😂
50% in here..... ohhh my god this is awesome!!!! 25% in here.... ohhh my god this need a sequel !!!! 25%in here "Who came from dead meat?" Edit: mothefreaking thx for likes..
It took a full year with about 6 months of prep on top of that. And no worries, Chucky, I lol'd because I was thinking the same the the other day. If we do a sequel it will be done right, a full budgeted production that is shot over 2-3 weeks and then go to post for 3-4 months. This production was spread out over the course of a year because we all had jobs at the time and had to work weekends only.
Even though it's a fan film, this is a better Friday film than a lot of the actual Friday sequels. Edit: and holy shit I love the music and camera work. 10/10 I'd love to see more stuff like this

Tommy calls Jason that in *"Friday the 13th: Jason Lives"(1986)* That's it, all I could spot, if you found anything that I didn't let me know!
Spot on. Here is the full ribbon list: Shower #6: Marcie (axed in the shower) Tree #3: Steve Christie (stabbed and strung from a tree) Bunk Bed #2: Jack and Ned (Ned killed O.S. and stored on the top bunk. Jack arrowed through the neck on the bottom) Kitchen #5: Brenda (thrown through the kitchen window wrapped in a cloth tarp and rope. toughest to tell, but there is a bloody tarp and rope next to the mop bucket) Utility Shed #4: Bill (arrowed to the shed door) Beach #1: Pamela (beheaded by Alice on the beach) *** Unseen #7: Annie (neck sliced in the woods and stored in the Jeep. Jeep was towed away) ***We had to shoot this scene at Lake Mary in Flagstaff to avoid having to pay for permits. The original plan was to shoot it on a more sandy, but overgrown beach in California but the parks department wanted us to pay for a very expensive permit, a scuba diver, and a life guard in order for Jason to stand in 2 feet of water. Sometimes you just have to give in a little on these things to make it work, but logically without being tended too it is likely that the beach would have become overgrown in some way after 37 years.
Excellent job! The film's weakness comes at the end when we meet the paramedics, but that part of the story is balanced by what preceded it, along with some beautiful cinematography. Overall a fantastic job. I really enjoyed watching and appreciate the hard work that went into it.
Man, this was just... awesome. I think I'm going to consider this the Part 8 in the original franchise, and I'm going to say that this is even better than any of the secuels, because this is not like a copypaste from every movie: teens wandering around the camp, getting killed one by one, Jason shows up for the final girl/last survivors at the end, she/they manage to defeat Jason, happy ending. No, no, and no, this not that, this is something else, it's perfection. And Thom Mathews? How the hell did you get him to play Tommy once again?! That was the best suprise I ever had in my life since a while, I wasn't expecting that. What else I can say, I want a sequel, I'm waiting for a sequel, and I'm dying for a freaking sequel.
I can't beleive this is a "fan film" ...amazing sound design and cinematography....also very well written ..the acting was really good aswell and can i just say thanks for bringing back my faviroute version of tommy the brilliant Thom Matthews ....cant wait for part 2 👍
What I love about this Jason is that his mask is FEATURELESS…no red marks, no axe mark….just a hockey mask…symbolizing that this Jason isn’t the same one we know….he’s a Jason that is new…and improved from the looks of it…. And another thing…a lot of survivors that are from Friday the 13th don’t react enough and just die (except a few like tommy) but this guy (Kyle) has guts, instincts and survival…it made me love this character…especially his hiking youtubish personality! ^^ You guys keep making content! You guys made a Good Friday the 13th fan film…it’s so good I WISH it’s canon…
@@jordanleveritt7028 How would they get sued for using the red marks? if you watch all Friday the 13th fan films, they never got sued and they used the red marks.
Just seeing this comment now for some reason. This is such a great way to describe what we were going for. This Jason, Ghost Jason, is new. He has learned from previous films. He's not the same paint by numbers stalker slasher. There is more going on. There is more to lose. There are real consequences for his actions. The last thing Jason wants is for someone to get away and let the world know he stills exists. The outcome of this film is his worst fear come to life.
As someone who grew up with this franchise I could nitpick some of the decisions made here, but I won't. Fact is, this is simply the best piece of Friday the 13th film I've seen since part 7 & it easily overcomes any nitpicks even an old school fan like me would have. Now just imagine what everything since part 7 would be like if people like this were hired to make them!
@FERMINDAL I liked part 1 all the way to part 8.. not a fan of FVJ not that much and 2009 film was bad too and dont get me started on jason goes to hell that film was shit.

I SERIOUSLY wish this movie could somehow become cannon, and you could then extend it by another 30-45 minutes and release it in theaters. This is seriously the best Jason Voorhees film I've seen in a long time. So much better than the vast majority of the sequels. In fact... I may just like it MORE than all of the sequels considering the fact that this is a completely fresh take on the franchise. The fact you only had a $40,000 budget and made something this good is seriously amazing. The original 1978 Halloween had a budget of $325,000 and even that was low for the time. The original 1980 Friday The 13th had between a $550,000 - $700,000 (depending on the source). I'm seriously surprised at how good this is. I really hope we get to see this in theaters one day. You guys deserve it.
OneSickDrummer - I think this movie was perfect at it's current length, I can't stand when studios force directors to cut or bloat their films to fit the arbitrary 90min mark. If a film is good enough to watch, it'll be worth the ticket price regardless of how long it is. Sidenote: Considering the fanbase's love for the classic movies and how loosely the more modern "canon" films follow their predecessors, I have no problem admitting that this should definitely be made official(hell, "reboot" the second half of the franchise and start off right after the hiker and Tommy make it back into town).
Incredible! As a life long fan of the franchise, you guys nailed everything without fail. The tension was great, the pacing was spot on, the ending couldn't have been better. Jason lives!!!

Great job!
I love that when Jason loses his mask it looks ugly as hell but doesn't reveal too much, that is great. It leaves just enough to the imagination.

Love what they did with the fadeaway with Jason’s eye fading to the moon scene at 43:38
That was a nice touch

This movie is absolutely astonishing. The acting is solid, the cinematography is great, and Jason is actually a real threat. I love the fact that Kyle isn't cracking jokes through his fights with Jason, and how Jason isn't a lumbering fool. I feel for Kyle, and his pain is more real than what I have seen in a Friday film so far. I can safely say that this is my favorite Friday movie, and will remain because of the actual care and love it was treated with.
JASON DON'T TALK
The director of this, wants to make a sequel to the actual film, but its harder with getting permission with Paramount
This is, after the first movie, by far the best in the franchise. All three hike movies are something beyond, everything is perfect. 10 + five stars
The sequel to this fan film should be called:
“Never Hike at all”
YESS
how about stay at home and dont go outside am i right guys
Never home alone would sound better.
“Literally never go out of your house”

Part 6 - Jason lives-!!!
Jason's stomps are insanely loud, this is fire, i'm still watching this 3 years later.
Same here fam, same here.
The footsteps are a bit much. They were trying to sell that Jason was much bigger than the actor actually was, I get that, but it feels like he had softer footsteps in Freddy vs Jason.
Gave me Alien: Isolation vibes...I F-ing loved it.
yeh he is a big boy
This stomps make jason absolutely intimidating haha
A bit slow paced but it actually built the main character and suspense. I liked how those numbers were laid around and you knew exactly what was there before. Good how you brought it into urban exploration modern horror, and the actor was good too. Interesting how having a competent main character actually made the movie better.

It took a full year with about 6 months of prep on top of that. And no worries, Chucky, I lol'd because I was thinking the same the the other day. If we do a sequel it will be done right, a full budgeted production that is shot over 2-3 weeks and then go to post for 3-4 months. Tree #3: Steve Christie (stabbed and strung from a tree)
Bunk Bed #2: Jack and Ned (Ned killed O.S. and stored on the top bunk. Jack arrowed through the neck on the bottom)
Kitchen #5: Brenda (thrown through the kitchen window wrapped in a cloth tarp and rope. toughest to tell, but there is a bloody tarp and rope next to the mop bucket)
Utility Shed #4: Bill (arrowed to the shed door)
Beach #1: Pamela (beheaded by Alice on the beach) ***
Unseen #7: Annie (neck sliced in the woods and stored in the Jeep. Jeep was towed away)
***We had to shoot this scene at Lake Mary in Flagstaff to avoid having to pay for permits.
This comment and the responses made me love this even more, and I genuinely didn't think that was possible.

@Finna Sprang ok boomer
I don’t care what anyone says I’m counting this as canon to the original story! It was amazing!
If the 2009 reboot catastrophe is in any way considered cannon, this definitely has to be!
Wait, that reboot's considered canon?
Delta no it's not
That's not what canon means.
You can ignore some of the films, as I do, but what's canon is decided by the series' filmmakers.
Patrick I agree the pasting was very good. This movie doesn't loose time getting to the point but also develops the character.
This is one of the best interpretations of Jason ever.
guy proceeds to punch Jason and it doesn't do a thing
Jason proceeds to slap him and goes flying like a Gmod ragdoll
@Cody Palmer ur sarcasm was actually funny hahahahahahahahahaha (dying of laughter)
wait , is it a like , Manhattan reference too when Jason punches a dudes head clean off his shoulders
@@thebleachfeelsnice6976 Yea it is a referance
@@thebleachfeelsnice6976 Felt more like Predator where Dutch punches it and it barely reacts before backhanding him and sending him flying.
@@Bluesit32 yeah , but cuz this is a friday the 13th fan-film , i thought it was a part 8 reference
Incredible! As a life long fan of the franchise, you guys nailed everything without fail. The tension was great, the pacing was spot on, the ending couldn't have been better. Jason lives!!!
Steven Riley yeah, its better than hollywood could ever make it!!
If other vloggers did this they would title it: "I WENT TO CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE ACCIDENTALLY AND ALMOST GOT KILLED!!!"
DON’T GO TO CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE AT 3 AM *totally real!
GONE WRONG 13+ *emotional*
I WENT TO CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE AT 3AM AND YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED! **GONE WRONG**
Lol
You forgot to include ( COPS CALLED ) ( GONE WRONG ) and ( GONE SEXUAL )
I've seen every Friday The 13th. This was actually more suspenseful than some of them. If your a Jason fan you'll like this movie 👍👍
