This vanity is built from a combination of solid wood and plywood panels, solid wood for the visible frame and plywood for the larger panel portions. The doors are solid wood with solid wood bookmatched panels and look great! The drawers are 1/2" plywood and, like the doors, have soft close hardware.

Thanks for the shout-out :)
Everyone knows the lord of the mail! Or at least they should
Great work, but the white flashing between cuts is really harsh.
Loved the video but gotta agree with djAnakin that there was a bit too much flash in the flashback/memory section when you were building the drawers. BTW I have seen your in-depth drawer video and it’s a good one.
For this one, I gotta say that other than that one section with all the flashing/old timely filter, this was another great one video for a cool project. Keep up the great work!
Agree, I thought something was wrong.
👍🏻👍🏻He did it again.
Very Nice, my friend. I love the Hickory!
Thanks for sharing. Felix
You make it so easy , super super job, You must have a big shop with lots of tools
Your son is a great added pleasure to this video. He is getting more and more skilled. I like my Carolina Loggers insulated boots. Super comfortable and rugged. Great video and thanks.Just happen to be wearing my DIY Tyler shirt on today. Great looking vanity.
It’s a beautiful bathroom vanity.
Enjoy your work - Phil from Gretna, LA
Looks great! Awesome job Tyler. 👍
Very nice! Really like the hickory.
Looks great.
Nice job Tyler!
Art❤
Brilliant job sir and the finish was perfect 👌
Great work Tyler! Thank you for sharing the video with us!💖👌👍😎JP
Although I have been watching your channel for a while now I just subscribed.
Thank you, glad you found it worthwhile!👍🏻
Very nice work. Now you can trim out that mirror to match and really set it off!
Awesome job man. Plan on building two for my bathroom reno. Looked up prices and for what I want the prices was outrageous. Don’t have all the amazing tools like you or a shop, but I’ve built a lot of great things without them and can do so again.
Really Nice !!!
I envy the workshop! Very good content. Even more videos :) Greetings from Poland;)
Very nice work.
Nice craftsmanship!
Nice 👍
nice
Tyler, love your videos and your work, but I get a little chapped when you say spray or don’t do it at all! Someday I may be able to afford a Fuji q5 platinum but not today! How about a video on inexpensive finishing technique for the beginner woodworkers?
I've heard them called whiskers or cat whiskers. Somewhat related to cat tails.
Maybe they're only whiskers if they're on the front ;)
very informative video. if using hickory instead of plywood what thickness should the hickory be milled down to to make the vanity?
What type of saw blades do you prefer. I just ordered a 80T for my 12 inch miter saw and a 60T for my 10in table saw. Both Diablo.
if you picked up hickory in bc michigan you must be a southeast mi woodworker---there are several hardwood co in the bc area-----several are really good on price jacob miller on bailey road is great
Where is this Jacob guy? We are SE Michigan and always looking for more suppliers!
@@DIYTyler jacob miller on bailly rd 2 miles east of brown city mi------north of m-90 road he is Amish so leave your truck at the road no phone
Turned out very nice, the only thing I would have done different is had the book match panels on the same side. Also, you may want to check your links, they all seemed to be bad other than the Cabinet Hardware Jig
Can you elaborate on your bookmatching thoughts? Each side is one piece of hickory bookmatched!! Will check the links, thank you.
@@DIYTyler My bad, it was kinda hard for me to see in the video. I know I was wrong, but I thought you put one side of the bookmatch on the left side of the vanity and the other on the right side. I know that does not make any sense, especially when you are a very talented woodworker ....but in all honesty thats what I thought I saw. Even when I watch the video over again it still not obvious. Maybe it's my bad eys....lol
Whats the name of the lumber supplier?
Hey man why didn't you use the power feeder?
What lumber yard? Brown City, Michigan is only about 30 min from me!
Great video. How much was the total cost to make this?
I cannot get your tool links to open - is it just me? Some will link to Amazon but not all. Definitely would like to know the hickory source since I am in Michigan also.
Not the only one, seems like the google short links have shut down, will take a look! Takalcac lumber in brown city MI. He doesn't have a website or anything but you can find him on google maps.
Also a Michigander here... 😁. Any good wood sources further north you can share? I'm up in Traverse City...
What kind of planer do you have?

Hi Tyler,I’m located in MD
I need to make 2 vanities by the end of January, let me know if you are free and I can send you my info.
Thank you so much,Cesar
Looks like ash
Love your videos, but saddened you covered all your Ridgid tools to hide the name. Your use of those tools made many people buy them, and now it looks like you're ashamed to show them because you might be now sponsored by another brand.
I'm not sponsored by another tool brand (greenworks but they are more outdoor tools) but like you said, I hopefully made many people buy them yet RIDGID chose to cut all their influencers....so...! Still love them and use them all the time, hard, and they always work! Thanks for watching!
@@DIYTyler thanks for the clarification, and appreciate the perspective. Keep up the great work
