    Iga solved yet another puzzle. She really likes these courts, and I think the spin on her shots made more of a difference against Noskova this time around. I am beginning to like her drive volleys more and more, the way she rushes to the net reminds me of Nadal. She has begun the tournament well, and I hope she continues like this. There are not many players in the draw who can stop her from winning the tournament. Good luck Iga, and Jazda forever!

    Novoska got a great start - Swiatek is possibly fastest foot speed of anyone on the WTA but could not reach those quality drop shots or Novoska's difficult to read rally shots. But she seemed to up the pace worked even harder and learned to counter Novoskas game and turn that around like she has against so many others.

    Thats how #1 in the world should respond to her AO defeat. A win in a dominating style. I think Noskova could not handle pressure in this game, at AO she has nothing to lose, but know everyone expected from her to confirm that her win over Iga at AO was not a luck and she lost this game mentally.

      Iga won the first set through her problem-solving skills and simply dominated the second set. I agree that Noskova, after failing to protect her 4-2 lead, succumbed to pressure which led to more unforced errors. That said, I don't think her win over Iga at AO was a fluke because she has the size (5'10"), power, skill set and variety (like most of the top Czech players) to compete and win against top players. I remember Iga saying in her postmatch interview that Linda served like Rybakina during the match. She is a 2021 French Open junior singles champion, which means she can play well on clay, too. She is only 19 and can only improve, so I would not dismiss her chances to win titles in the future.

    Iga reminds me, sort of, of Terence Crawford, the boxer. She is an extremely smart tactician, on and off the court, and, like Crawford, she can usually come with a variety solutions to figure out her opponents. As of now, Iga seems to be the most consistent player on tour with high-precision ball striking. Let's remember that she is still young, and there is a lot of room for improvement in her game. This year's wins over Rybakina and now Noskova have surely given here a huge boost in confidence.

She truly deserves the number one ranking right now since she seems very hungry to learn from past losses and beat her most challenging opponents. So far Rybakina, Gauff, and Noskova have been broken. Next up is Ostapenko and Kalinskaya. Looking forward to seeing her complete her revenge tour!

  • @mehmetdogaguvendi580
    @mehmetdogaguvendi580 9 месяцев назад +1

    It is the real evolution and enhancement of the professional Polish tennis competitor. Whenever she is down 2-4 in the first set, there was no any vacillation in front of Iga in order to regain the break and clinching the set with 6-4. It was really considerable to take the revenge of the vanquishment in AO24 3rd round showdown. This time, I had predicted that Swiatek was plainly going to make a large difference on the pitch with her resilience, adaptability and harmony. Furthermore, Iga had a large superiority and vast ascendancy in the second set after reviving her agility and movement. Linda is really one of the most arduous adversaries in this tournament. She is entirely resourceful and adroit. Czech tennis player will keep advancing in each stage.

  • @mingwu4331
    @mingwu4331 9 месяцев назад +12

    Both Collins and Noskova started with aggressive and dominating games but suddenly scrambled mentally and got bagelled in the second set. Noskova did have chance to win the first set in 6-2 but she missed many breakpoints in Iga's game, then lose 10 games in a row.

  • @michagliniecki843
    @michagliniecki843 9 месяцев назад +45

    Iga's staff has been implementing this tactic for some time now. Until recently, the rivals were completely relaxed when playing with Iga. Doomed to failure, they could only win. So they relaxed their hand. They took risky shots and often hit the mark. They built their self-confidence. Today, Iga reflects on the beginning of the match (the final against Rybakina in Doha, the last matches against Collins and the one against Noskova), arousing the imagination of her rivals about the final success that is within reach. After this treatment, She raises the level of her game and strips them in the most brutal way of all dreams of victory. Completely destroying their mentality.

      @petysiac 9 месяцев назад +6

      I thought about it the other day and this, despite sounding tempting, is not sustainable in the long run as it involves too much risk. To facilitate smth like this you would need to feel so much better than the opponent and this is not how they train mental strength I think.

    • @michagliniecki843
      @michagliniecki843 9 месяцев назад +5

      @@petysiac it is a simple profit and loss statement. It is better to take your opponent out of his comfort zone by giving him hope than to play the entire match with someone who has nothing to lose. For centuries, it has been believed that the most dangerous rival is the one who has nothing to lose. However, this status usually occurs at the end of the match. Iga wins so many matches to ZERO, against such successful opponents, that even this is no longer a source of fear or embarrassment. She has been playing from the very beginning with rivals who cannot lose anything. So the tactic is... to make them feel that they are missing out. And it works. Mental game after conclusions from season 23.

      @zarkadiusz123 9 месяцев назад +3

      @@michagliniecki843 I have another theory, a bit strange, but from the point of view of body physiology it is quite acceptable. Iga wears headphones before the match, I don't know what she's listening to, but the music causes a strong release of dopamine, then she takes them off and the brain automatically lowers the volume and the feeling of joy falls like the waterfall of Niagara. It takes about 20 minutes for the body to return to this hormone level during intense exercise.

    • @michagliniecki843
      @michagliniecki843 9 месяцев назад +4

      @@zarkadiusz123 The theory is ok, but it has one weak point. Iga has always been immersed in music before the match. Since Cancun and the first match against Marketa, Vonrusova has given the start of the match to her rivals. This match against Marketa was 5:2 in the first set for the Czech...... to finally lose in two sets, the second of which to ZERO. This is already a pattern.

Noskova gave Swiatek more competition than Swiatek may have expected but this was a good test for Swiatek to not get the big head on these courts against the rest of these players!
