    Been trying this for a couple of weeks and it actually work very well, the trick is to really go full random

    Wow, I came up with something very similar to this a few years ago but was never really sure why/how it worked. For me, I think of colors. You know when you are thinking of something and your eyes are closed you can almost see your own thoughts? I'd start with a color and try hard to see that color. When I can practically see that color(literally in my head I see a circle of color surrounded by nothing but black) I concentrate on a new color without ever letting the circle disappear. The plan is to keep changing the color. But I never make it past two colors. 1 minute a see a red circle. The next minute I see a blue circle, the next minute I hear my alarm clock cuz it's morning. It sounds like a lot of concentration, but I'm always asleep within five minutes after😊. Before the color trick, I used to try and come up with a storyline and theme for a new season of American Horror Story that hasn't already been done.

    I have severe insomnia, I'm sometimes awake for 36 hrs just unable to sleep. I do take Rx sleep aides but still can't fall asleep at times. I'm going to try this and let y'all know if it helps!
