Thanks Peter, you are very kind...and observant😉. It is a crap tonne of work but the rewards are comments yours along the way, and of course the driving😎👍
That’s awesome mate, glad you are bringing another 40 series back to life! Subscribe if you find my journey interesting, lots more 40 stuff to come. Cheers😎👍
Thanks for that Brent, you are very kind in saying that. It’s what makes me want to share this journey, so I’m glad someone is getting some value from this. Cheers😎👍
Thank you mate, looking back at it I would have to agree but it did not seem so drawn out at the time😂. Thanks for watching and commenting mate, I sincerely appreciate it 😎👍
Thanks Terry, you are very kind in saying so. I’m enjoying the process, even when there are times when it’s two steps forward, one step back. Cheers 😎👍
Thanks mate, I do have one. I have used it in the past but I find them a little too destructive as they kinda chew through the metal. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to comment mate 😎👍
I hear ya mate, I had more cancer in mine than I thought when I did my purchase inspection. Having said that, everything is fixable, just need patience and effort. Enjoy your journey mate😎👍
@@JafffaAdventures yeah, I could kick myself in the butt for falling in love as soon as I saw the yellow colour. Hahaha atleast now I am forced to learn a shitload of new skills. And thats alot of fun to be honest.
Yes I am using weld through primer, about half way through the video I bought a can (it’s the Chrmtools stuff). Thanks for sharing and watching mate, I appreciate it 😎👍
@@JafffaAdventures ah yes I did see you were on a big tour- I think I saw you were in my part of the world SW WA? Enjoy the touring mate, best time ever being on the road long term. Cheers
Yes indeed, spent some time down your way and loved it. We will be back ❤️. We are currently in Francois Peron NP, heading over to Dirk Hartog Island tomorrow, WA has been amazing 👍😎
Yes absolutely Tim. As I explained in the video, heat is your enemy. If you do anything more than spot welds (with cooling in between) you will get warpage, there is no avoiding that. For that reason, spot welds and constant cooling with an air gun is the go. Cheers and thanks for the question😎👍
@@JafffaAdventures Thanks for the prompt reply. I understand what your saying and get it. I was taught to do small straight lengths and let it cool I was just wondering why you only do a spot instead of a small length.. I guess it is more about the size of the panel being replaced for the heat transfer.
I’ve never had any luck doing small lines, I always get too much heat in it. I guess it could be the size of the panel but for me spots are the only way I can manage the warpage. Thanks again mate, I appreciate the feedback 😎👍
Geez I love watching these videos… your patience
Thank you mate, that is very kind of you to say. Cheers😎👍
G'day bloke really enjoyed this ep.Thanks mate...
Thanks Doug, that is very kind of you to take time out of your day to share. Cheers😎👍

Thanks Peter, you are very kind...and observant😉. It is a crap tonne of work but the rewards are comments yours along the way, and of course the driving😎👍
Hell mate you deserve that first drive. May it be worth all the pain. I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever it will be worth more. Awesome stuff !
Thanks again, and yes ... a thrashing we will go (for short bursts😂).😎👍

Thanks Jim, I appreciate the kind words. LSA definitely not for everyone but it is for ME😉😎
Another good vid Terry. I see you have been watching Fitzees Fabrications too.
He’s a legend, if I had 1/100th the skill he had I would be a happy man!
Terry, just in the of rebuilding my front body mounts. came down for a coffee and i get to watch how u got them done
That’s hilarious, what a coincidence. Enjoy mate, I trust there may be something you find useful in there. Cheers😎👍
Love your work!
you should Invest in an air chisel
Make it a hole lot easier when seperating spot welds
Thanks mate, I do have one. I have used it in the past but I find them a little too destructive as they kinda chew through the metal. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to comment mate 😎👍
Great details, thanks mate. Super scared what I will find once I plug away on my Tub.

I could not agree more mate, cheers😎👍
Not using any weld-through primer Terry? A lot of seams on those body braces that are perfect spots for moisture (as Toyota left).
Yes I am using weld through primer, about half way through the video I bought a can (it’s the Chrmtools stuff). Thanks for sharing and watching mate, I appreciate it 😎👍
Try an get your hands on a box of Ansell Microflex 93-260 gloves :)
I’ll keep my eyes out for them Dave, thanks for that😎👍
@@JafffaAdventures Keep up the good work!
Thanks Dave, big progress in the next video (in my little mind anyway)😎👍
Looking great! Body mount kits? Where did you get them from?
Ben Keen supplied them to me, but they were genuine so I suspect you can get them from your local dealer as well. Thanks for the kind words Daniel😎👍
Not sure how I missed this episode previously but it was a ripper Terry. Thanks mate. How’s the 45 going btw?
Thanks Justin, that’s very kind mate. I’m on a 5 month remote 4WD trip, so nothing happening of the 45 mate. Cheers👍😎

Cheers Justin, that’s very kind mate 👍😎
I noticed that you predominately just do a series of tack welds instead of line welding.. is there any reason for this method?
Yes absolutely Tim. As I explained in the video, heat is your enemy. If you do anything more than spot welds (with cooling in between) you will get warpage, there is no avoiding that. For that reason, spot welds and constant cooling with an air gun is the go. Cheers and thanks for the question😎👍
