Thanks William. I learned a little bit on that project. I love how it runs. I had been looking for one for a year or two. Glad I finally found one for a good price.
Nice job! I have a 671 turbine 1950 or 1951. Any idea where I can find a used motor and e-unit for it? My dad must have had trouble with it because when I gathered all the Lionel stuff he gave me, it had no motor or e-unit.
Thank You DB Dave for parts 1 and 2 extensive service, great to see them old boys runnin again

Thank You👍👍👍👍
Thanks again! That is a nice running engine and it pulls a lot of cars.
Very nice restoration on that 671 turbine! Runs and smokes pretty good and better!
Thanks, I love how the loco runs.
Very cool. Never knew how those smoke units worked. Thanks for the share.
Thanks! The Turbine is a little different than the other Lionel engines.
Say, you didn't say what those two thingys were on top of the back o the motor, you know, right above the brush holders? 🤔
If we are talking about the same thing, it is a jumper wire. On that model, instead of an E-unit switch on the top, it uses a jumper.

Thank you. If you're serious, send me an email and I can keep a lookout at train shows.
