Chemical burns are no joke... I remember when I had them for the first time and I felt all these bubbles popping while shampooing and rinsing and only later did I realise it was blisters that popped. It didn't hurt until it started scabbing and it took an eternity to heal.
To be fair- I have also gotten TERRIBLE advice from staff at Sally’s regarding hair bleaching/toning. Staff is rarely well trained. Majority are cashiers, NOT hair dressers. Sally’s is great if you already know what you need. But typically they’re not great as a resource if you need help/advice as a newbie.
These videos give me even more appreciation for my amazing hairstylist. 🙏 It's worth the 4 hours in the chair and nearly $400 cost. Lol so glad I did not listen to the intrusive thoughts during covid that told me to do it on my own 😂
Every one of these videos just repeatedly reaffirms for me that I make the right choice by paying professionals to bleach my hair whenever I want it lightened.
That first video had me stressing she could’ve just left the roots blonde and the ends orange then add red at the tips to make it look fiery that’s what I would’ve done personally

I just sat down with a takeaway after bleaching my hair all day and opened RUclips and there was a new bleach fail video 😭😭 I always watch your videos to psych me up before bleaching my hair but I’ve seen them all multiple times. I bleached my henna / box dyed hair three times and lightened it twice. Thank goodness it never turned green. I ended up having to get my stylist to cut off 1/3 of the length and heavily layering it to get all the damage off. Then I put a collagen mask on it for 45 minutes. Then go back to tone it to even it out. It’s purple now. Yay! Looks good now.
7:34 To be honest i feel like she would absolutely slay this red color, like i feel like she looks really alive with this not too orange bur also not too blonde hair. Also, i know she's probably okay now but god me bleaching my hair was a disaster but if i saw what happened to her but on my head i know i would just start crying. Hope she and her scalp are strong, healthy and okay now.
Okay Brad, still loving your hair by the way, but the 2nd lovely coloring her hair-i absolutely kept agreeing with you on her hair color change journey where I loved that darker redish color she got at first then loved the accidental but looked purposeful blonde roots to the orange-ish tone at the ends as I absolutely think she could have stopped there but I also like where she ended up so that one was fun (little stressful through the process but she must have that great vibe that just goes with so many tones lol)
Yeaaah I used to think it didn’t damage my curl pattern that much but now that I’ve grown my natural hair out it’s so much easier, I literally only have to put oil in it and it looks great. When I was blonde it was so much work to get it to look okay 😂
Lady 3 definitely looks the best. I think if you're changing your hair colour jet black and also blond are the shades most people get horribly wrong. Young adults are strange there are instructions on the products, masses of teaching videos from professionals and they still get it wrong? They never apply the colour wheel theory? I have never bleached anyone's hair and I am sure I could do it without this much drama.

so weird to see this today! yesterday i got my hair professionally dyed for the first time. i went green, so needed my dark blonde hair bleaching. i've done it myself in the past with no problem. when the hairdresser put the bleach on it was burning SO BAD and she wanted to leave it 40 mins. i was stupidly too awkward to say anything. i spent the whole time googling bleach burns. luckily i am fine, but my head is a bit sore when brushing and i have a few scabs. won't be doing that again! 😭
Soon as I saw Hi Colour I just thought 'hello no' on behalf of her hair. I use hi lift colour, on my brunette hair, using 20 vol developer. In 45 mins my roots are bright red. I have very forgiving strong hair but I avoid the already coloured lengths as hi lift is aggressively strong and fries hair. I dread to think what her hair was like in a few weeks after all that bleaching as well. The colour would drop every wash I know that (without a good colour mask of course..)
I still have pictures of when hairdressers burned the skin of my neck once while bleaching my hair. I was in serious pain while they were doing my hair, but was too shy to say anything. Very strange that they “didnt notice”, say anything or stop it while washing the bleach out my hair or working with my hair further🥹
What amazes me every time is that they keep going. They mention brad so they know the fails. My worst bleach fail didn't even come close and after failing the first round im going straight back to dark hair so i dont end up fried or bald and just let it grow out. Finally i decided im probably gonna get grey hair mid 30s so I get to die my hair for the rest of my life. Leaving it alone till then.😂😢
