I hope that's true. Too bad it wasn't in time to save the Marvels (I didn't hate it. It was fun. Still a better love story than Secret Invasion.. flerkin cat pretty much carried that whole movie)
@@pnut3844ableThat's just absolutely not true and ignores other factors of the strike. The LA times did a great article about this. Mentions a guy who was an extra for Jurassic World. Over the this summer he got $1,400 for cable residuals which is more than fair - but only $40 for streaming, meanwhile infinitely more people are watching this stuff on streaming nowadays. So part of the strike is wanting a fairer cut of streaming revenue, instead of all of that extra profit going to give another CEO another bonus. Not to mention the whole wanting to have actors on set for one day, scan them, then use their likeness in perpetuity while only paying them for a day's work. Then there was the whole trying to put it on actors contract's that they can continue using their likeness after their death. And a bunch of other stuff they were arguing for. End of the day, for every Tom Hiddleston there's 200 people barely getting by and maybe getting the odd extra job, just trying to live their dream. That's who the strike was for. And most of your big name actors have stated such. And these are the people who perform for us, for our joy and entertainment. We should want a larger slice of the pie going to them rather than a third speedboat for a CEO.
You can tell Tom genuinely cares about this character and it shows not only with his profound answers to Brandon's questions but on the screen as well. Absolutely loved this series and I can't wait to see more of Tom as Loki.
@@franjaime200 We have to believe. I can't accept this is the end for Tom as Loki! He is just so amazing and Loki as a character has been so amazing in every MCU project!!!
You know all of those Marvel Quizzes that the actors get dragged into at press junkets and such? I absolutely LOVE how Hiddleston usually crushes them. He’s one of the few (alongside folks like Tom Holland and Iman Vellani) who have seen most of the MCU projects and know it well. He’s either a genuine fan, a supportive cast member/friend, or takes his prep and research very seriously, the latter of which is a given considering how good of an actor he is and his training. I love that he seems to take Loki as seriously as he takes Shakespeare!
@@franjaime200 Now that he has given Loki a fitting end to the story, people love him more than any current MCU characters. It was a lot like Walter White's perfect story ending in Breaking Bad. Ending the story made Loki super valuable for the movies. We want to see more of him.
i’m 100% not ready to let go of Tom as Loki. but as Tom said, it’ll be unwise to assume he’ll never come back ‘cause like.. Loki always comes back at some point, somehow! 💚
Yeah, the last time we all thought Loki was gone for good, he came back thanks to time travel and we got a series where he ended up in a different dimension outside of space and time
He will 100% end up coming back in a few years around secret wars and the whole Kang conclusion. If you know anything about the comics it's inevitable.
The whole point of the Loki series was multiple timelines that were being pruned. In some of them there were other Lokis that looked like Tom, and in others they were different - perhaps female or even an alligator. Loki could contemplate leaving the throne and going back to his old life. Simply doing this for one second could create a variant of him that leaves. He stands before himself on the time throne and each of them tells the other "Good luck". The new Loki goes out into the MCU timeline and meets back up with Thor for a warm reunion. Also, this is a variant of Loki after he's been on the time throne for millions of years or whatever. Time has it's own meaning there in 4-dimensional space. So this Loki is a much more powerful version than Thor remembers. If anyone is going to "Get help" this time, it will be Loki throwing Thor at the enemies. I could see such a reunion dovetailing with a potential Rune King Thor story line. Instead of a spirit child leading Thor to new levels of wisdom it would be Loki. There are versions of Asgardian mythology where Odin (and Loki) gained wisdom by drinking the waters by the World Tree. Other versions required them to be speared through the stomach and impaled upon the World Tree for 9 days. For this, we'll use the impale thing, because it's more of a sacrifice. Thor has to do this to get Odin levels of wisdom. Thor has to use Odin's spear to impale himself into the World Tree where Loki Prime has his time throne. But that's not enough to end the violent cycle of Ragnarok. He has to make additional sacrifices to become Rune King Thor, as in the comics. Then he can defeat They Who Sit Above In Shadows. Loki could guide him through the process. Not necessarily enjoying Thor's pain, but trusting in Thor's ability to move up to a glorious purpose.
Please let Tom be God of stories as the narrator of what if... I'm begging you. This man has an excellent voice and his narration of the making of Loki was incredibly well done.
This man overnight dethroned rdj as the face of marvel. His passion for the world and his character was completely unmatched and I will always be so thankful to him for his reverence, it created the very best moments of entertainment marvel could ask for, and he did it from day one at comic Con
I agree with you. As much as i love RDJ as Tony, his time already passed in endgame and no way home. For the longest time after him there's no face of the MCU before this series finale. Even though all of the project post Endgame is inconsequential, including this, still this series give the most impact and the most consistent out of the project that been released thus far. So it's save to say that Loki is the new face of MCU even though it's his goodbye.
Hiddleston just seems like an incredibly solid dude out there, taking his job seriously, and being humble, thankful, and thoughtful at every turn. He’s never forgotten either his origins or Loki’s. Why wouldn’t you make him Avenger Prime at this point?
Loki was the first time in the MCU that I sat for a time in silence after it ended to take it all in. Not even my favorite movie, Infinity War, managed that. It was beautiful, yet sad and cathardic and tragic. Just wonderful, absolutely wonderful
100% agree. My sister and I watched in complete silence through the entire episode, end credits included (before crying with utter abandonment). It was such a beautiful way to end the series, and I'm still completely in awe. I really hope Loki comes back to the MCU, but, if not, that was a great way to end his amazing character arch.
Yeah, it was a thinker. You could appreciate the creativity behind this ending. You felt happy for Loki that he finally became king of something, but also wondered what kind of life is that? It was a true end to his character arc, but it could also be the beginning of something bigger. He's now burdened with glorious purpose.
what a tragically beautiful finale man. the end of Loki's character coming full circle and taking on the burden of his true purpose for the betterment of others nearly brought me to tears. just seeing Loki return to his classic god form was so meaningful, powerful and impactful to watch from a visual perspective and was handled so well in the writing. truly a show written with so much love, admiration, and respect for the character. just like ryan reynolds with Deadpool, tom hiddleston was born to play Loki.
The show was essentially perfect. As much as I’d love to see Loki again this was the perfect bookend for him. With that said, Loki sacrificing himself in Infinity War was also a great bookend. This series has proven other variants can be successful and accepted by the fan base if done correctly.
I remember feeling a little weird about the idea of a Loki varient who hadnt actually experienced and grown as much as the character we'd gotten used to. Loki was so great in Ragnarok and was one of the only good parts of TDW. Now, Ive come to see TVA Loki as the 'real' version of him. It's weird. I love both for different reasons but damn I loved the series.
I prefer the bookend of the series to the end im the films. While I've loved the development of Loki in the movies, I think the last action as a bit foolish and more desperate than sacrificial. It didn't feel like the right way to end Loki's story like that, so I'm glad that at least the series' Loki got a narratively satisfying end that also fits the character.
It’s great how thoughtful all of his responses are, you can tell how much he’s loved playing this character and just how much he enjoyed working on this season to bring his character to its fitting “ending”
The amount of interviews i've seen of Tom talking about Loki and i could never get bored. Tom is so well spoken and you can tell how much he's passionate and loves his character. Part of the reason why Loki has always been my favorite in the MCU. He knows so many stories about not just Loki but other superhero's and villains in the comics. I really hope we see more of Tom as Loki
Wouldn't that have been great if Loki and Wanda could have met. Both powerfully magical, it would be very interesting. On a separate note, I still wish Loki could have met someone who loved him unconditionally, as I believed he wanted that more than anything else, given his origins. I suppose the ending was a bit of a disappointment because of that. I would have liked one more season and a truly happy ending for Loki. What is it about writers that won't ever give the audience what they wanted all along? I'm looking at you, "True Blood". At least it wasn't a dumpster fire ending like that.
I just wished that this version of Loki could've met Wanda at the end of Wandavision and gave her a meaningful pep talk. That way evil Scarlet Witch could've been avoided.
Loki wanted to be Thor's equal and now he is more. He refused to be a pawn of the TVA and was determined to write his own story. Now he has done both! So happy the way this series was done. They avoided all the pitfalls I feared and then came up with this wonderful resolution.
Loki seasons 1 and 2 together is definitely (for me) top 5 Marvel/Disney release. I loved the acting, the story telling, the cinematography and the set design.
What happens when an intelligent actor is committed to, helps create, and foundationally understands a classic character. When he talks about Loki as a broken soul who still has purpose - this drives the character. I think very few actors really delve into their work like this. Refreshing and sadly rare nowadays.
Villains can be so complex...and there has never yet been born on screen a more beautifully complex "villain" than Loki. Thank you for saving the MCU multiverse. For all of us
Your comment is kind of tragic. Tom Hiddleston is an artist, working for stories, and within those stories every arc is a challenge. So, by saying it’s a product, it completely empties the substance of his work
Why did I tear up at the end of this. He talks with such passion about his time with this character. I don't want this to be the end. But if it is, it was perfect. Have loved the journey!!!
Gosh he’s such an INFP I love him so much. I love how much he connects with his characters and how humble he is. He’s such an artist and a thoughtful empath.
It just goes to show how comic book material can be elevated when put in the hands of a highly talented actor like Tom Hiddleston. Never in my wildest dreams, reading comic books nearly 18 years ago, did I think I would give a damn about Thor’s brother, Loki.
In the "Avengers Forever" comic series an ultimate version of Loki is cast as the leader of the Multiversal Avengers, as every incarnation of Loki's defining purpose is to bring the Avengers together be that as adversary or ally. I think the season 2 finally sets this up perfectly for Secret Wars, yes?
How can you not be in awe, Tom has played this character beautifully with such a reverence and respect for Loki, you can just tell how he talks about not just the character but the stories that surround Loki and those around him, the fact we get a character like Loki played by him is honestly a blessing as a comic book lover. Thank you truly Tim for everything and I do hope we see Loki again.
Thank you Tom for respecting your fans and enjoying the journey as much as we have! Huge respect for your part in the mcu, they were extremely lucky to have had you for so long! Deserve all the recognition you get! 👏 Great interview 😊
Great 14 yr career with this character. Never been short on Lokis development or the background storyline. I think it’s really been understated/underrated until this season of Loki. Blew my mind when I started thinking about this character and where he’s been. Huge thanks to Tom Hiddleston for his acting Brilliance.
I'm so overwhelmed with emotions watching the show then his interviews. Tom is truly committed to the part and enbraced us fans with open arms. He (and all the team involved in the show, of course) earned my respect and the "undying loyalty" (unlike the secret timeline's Loki's 😅) to follow whatever projects he does next. And if this is the last hoorah, then I propose the toast for our former God of Mischief and The Multiversal Guardian of Time who serves us with the burdened Glorious Purpose! Skol! 🍺 🍻 P. S. I think we are going to see God Loki eventually reunite with his brother, Thor who is likely to ascend to the All-Father status in Secret Wars
I'm an outstanded at how everything in this show was brilliant and how beautiful that ending turned out. Thank you for your existence on this Earth Tom Hiddleston
Sir ... I have to say you killed that roll... You are truly the Loki I grew up reading in the 70's and 80's. I greatly enjoyed every screen interaction between you and every cast member involved in the series... From a man who fell in love with reading because of Marvel Comics as a child... Thank you ... EXCELSIOR! RIP Stan.. Nuff said.
I have always been a major fan of Loki and to see the way Tom handled the character was perfect. He IS Loki always and forever. I'm very sad the Loki series ended but I have a gut feeling he'll be returning to something epic in the future. Thank you Tom, we love you. - All your fans!
This show, might handedly be my favorite MCU offering, ever. genuinely brilliant. I have so much gratitude for the actors/actresses as well as the creators who put together this masterpiece. Long live loki 💚
i pray this is not the end for loki. hes one of the only characters in the mcu that are batting 1000. we cant lose him yet. we have already lost so much.
Man i hope loki takes a watcher type role and connects characters of many universes together. Otherwise i hope he can manifest avatars in universes he chooses so he can be apart of the stories he is holding together.
I feel like it’s a great ending for his story, if we see him again it’s because they visit him at the end of time but I’m completely happy with where it’s at now. Amazing acting amazing writing amazing season…it’ll only get more legendary as the years pass by
There is no way Tom Hiddleston or Loki as a character are going anywhere anytime soon after delivering not only the best quality content to come out of the MCU, but also the most popular. I think Tom/Loki are going to be a the cornerstone of the MCU for awhile going forward after most of Marvel's other Movies/Shows are not coming close to the quality of Loki. The entire team that produced Loki should be used as the primary architecture Marvel/Disney needs to use going forward for their future content. Loki S1/S2 was so good not only because of the actors and writers, but also, as Tom said, the fact that creativity and ideas where allowed to flourish on set. If it wasn't for Loki as a whole the future of the MCU was looking pretty bleak and this show is the main reason fans like myself still have hope for the MCU.
Thank you so much, Brandon - this is such a great interview! So glad we got to hear his thoughts on 'For you. For all of us.' And of COURSE he came up with it himself. What a man.
Tom looks so good in this interview even in the close-up. his hair, face, eyes, and teeth are so clean and perfect. He's so sweet and caring but also very honest. I think Loki means so much to him too. From a no-name actor audition for the Thor role to one of the most popular characters in the MCU. Thank you for asking good questions to him.
I think the hammer lost a lot of it's weight/seriousness with Love and Thunder. Somehow Marvel can produce one of the best shows like Loki and at the same time release a movie that's so disliked by audiences and critics alike.
@@justADeni I agree with that 100%. I still haven’t seen it. Lol. Its a shame what they are doing to the mcu. At this point Loki seems to be that last remaining piece of the mcu that still has some weight to it. Perhaps Loki swinging it, might make the hammer cool again. Great comment!! 🤘
This show was just incredible. One of the best motion pictures in the MCU, whether movie or series. Supremely intelligent writing. Everyone involved should be proud of it for the rest of their life.

The ONLY WAY to bring him back effectively would be in the Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars 2-parter as a means of concluding some arc with Thor. Imagine Thor getting to see his brother as a true king before his sendoff, when the conclusion to the last saga saw him witnessing the death of his brother. It's like poetry, it rhymes.

I could go on for hours listening to Tom talking about Loki! Such a wonderful actor ❤
I could listen to him recite the phone book lol
@@kimberlyjeanne9456 😆
I could listen to him talking about every charecter he played esply Jonathan Pine and King Henry the V and Adam and many more.
@@kimberlyjeanne9456😂😂 he should narrate documentaries about penguins😂
@@mcdonciii yeahhh😂
Why did I tear up at the end of this. He talks with such passion about his time with this character. I don't want this to be the end. But if it is, it was perfect. Have loved the journey!!!
I was holding mine back lol
Haven't you watched this interview? Loki sorry Tom said that it'd be unwise
Thank you for telling him that this is the best MCU project ever💚 I want it someone to tell him in the name of the whole Loki fandom!
He was perfect for the role as Loki and I’m obsessed. I hope he returns for more upcoming seasons and movies! ❤️💯
This man makes me wanna be an actor, he truly loves the role and its contagious. What a great show it has been.
Gosh he’s such an INFP I love him so much. I love how much he connects with his characters and how humble he is. He’s such an artist and a thoughtful empath.
Thank you Tom for everything. I hope to see you as Loki in the future. 💚💚💚
It just goes to show how comic book material can be elevated when put in the hands of a highly talented actor like Tom Hiddleston.
Never in my wildest dreams, reading comic books nearly 18 years ago, did I think I would give a damn about Thor’s brother, Loki.
I love how Tom answered all the questions thoughtfully. It was really interesting hearing his answers.
Tom was right! These were really great questions! Awesome interview!!!
It's just amazing to hear from Tom's perspective, such a great actor, such a great show!
The fact that he not just film scores but MCU Scores it's incredible and even saying Patrick Doyle's name is great. Big Respect!
God it makes me feel so happy that he cares about Loki so much 😭😭😭😭
He said: "We'll see" to a possible reunion with Thor. That was all I needed to hear ❤️🔥
This man has an extensive library of movies! Very impressive actor Tom Hiddleston is!
I get lost in those eyes 💙
Tom, you have save not only the Multiverse, but also the whole Marvel cinematic industry
He makes every word he says so interesting and he just draws you in every time. And he’s always given the time to speak
Thank you Tom for respecting your fans and enjoying the journey as much as we have! Huge respect for your part in the mcu, they were extremely lucky to have had you for so long! Deserve all the recognition you get! 👏 Great interview 😊
All I have to say is thanks Tom. This has been the most fun I've had following the arc of any character.
Thank you Tom Hiddlestone.
Great interview!
A huge thank you to Tom Hiddleston for bringing this character to life and beyond. What an awesome character arc!
Love Loki and Tom hiddleston. I hope he has another epic return.
Yep Avengers 5 or 6 I hope
Coming back soon!
Great interview Brandon! Tom is such a class act!
Loki always will return💚
Skol! 🍺 🍻
P. S. I think we are going to see God Loki eventually reunite with his brother, Thor who is likely to ascend to the All-Father status in Secret Wars
Tom, thank you SO MUCH for giving us the BEST Loki mankind could possibly have, you're one of the greatest actor ever!!
One of the best interview. So humble and charismatic
EXCELSIOR! RIP Stan.. Nuff said.
What a genuinely genuine guy 🥰
I have always been a major fan of Loki and to see the way Tom handled the character was perfect. He IS Loki always and forever. I'm very sad the Loki series ended but I have a gut feeling he'll be returning to something epic in the future. Thank you Tom, we love you. - All your fans!
Your best interview yet. I can't imagine a world without Loki and this felt like such a blessing to hear from him about it! "We'll see"! 💚
Tom you are finest actor of Marvel Universe, that how played first as villain and now as great hero. Great respect for you.
Wonderful interview from both sides ! Tom is such a humble guy .
Thank you so much for this. Finally being to hear Tom talk about this is so gratifying!!!
You could tell Tom was genuinely impressed with the interviewer. Great interview keep em coming 👏
Can we get Tom to narrate a show like the Watcher did? This man tells stories and answers questions so well
I want see a movie about Loki tell a story about the begining of MCU. This should be cool!!!
A Loki and GTG meet up would be so much fun, Thor and GTG was hilarious. 🤞🏾🤞🏾 to seeing Loki again, the show was the greatest, no contest.
Loki is like the Severus Snape of MCU : We only understood their depth in last
Im so happy the Actors and Writers got what they wanted and the strike is over so they can get back to interviews like these.
Amazing acting amazing writing amazing season…it’ll only get more legendary as the years pass by
We do not deserve this man and his passion for this character
This was such a great interview. Thought-provoking questions from Brandon and very in depth answers from Tom. Loved it!
I want to see Loki with Every one of those suggestions.
10:51 "TIME' will tell..
They say that if you stick around long enough, you become the villain.
Loki stuck around long enough, he became the hero.
Love u Tom❤❤....U r a brilliant actor and a great human being as well.
I'm so happy to be hearing from Tom and Loki again, it was torture not having interviews of nothing
Thank Tom again for us. Deadpool and Loki sounds like it would be awesome. Dr Strange as well.
Thank you so much, Brandon - this is such a great interview! So glad we got to hear his thoughts on 'For you. For all of us.' And of COURSE he came up with it himself. What a man.
Really this was an amazing interview. Thanks for sharing! For Glorious Purpose!
I know this isn't the last we've seen of Loki. When we do,, all I want to see is him picking up the hammer just once.
That would be a great scene but not new in the com8cs
@@jacobharris954thats the reason we should see it in live action
I think the hammer lost a lot of it's weight/seriousness with Love and Thunder. Somehow Marvel can produce one of the best shows like Loki and at the same time release a movie that's so disliked by audiences and critics alike.
@@justADeni I agree with that 100%. I still haven’t seen it. Lol. Its a shame what they are doing to the mcu. At this point Loki seems to be that last remaining piece of the mcu that still has some weight to it. Perhaps Loki swinging it, might make the hammer cool again. Great comment!! 🤘
@@aimanhaikalthemalaysian7089 nailed it! 🤘
This show was just incredible. One of the best motion pictures in the MCU, whether movie or series. Supremely intelligent writing. Everyone involved should be proud of it for the rest of their life.
It’s beyond great to hear Tom brainstorm new ideas and be so open like this .
Thanks to Brandon and Tom and anyone involved. This is the closure interview that I needed.
Best character in the MCU by a mile
Thank you so much Tom for Loki I'll miss him so much😭💔💚
But he's not done with Loki yet
@@lilokiola9525 but I don't think he's coming back ever again😭
@@meenu2912He will be back in Avengers 5 or 6 probably. Kevin Feigie will be a dumb if he wouldn't put Loki in Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars as Avenger Prime. Loki must see Thor again as he promised
Tom was the perfect choose for loki and I dont imagine anyone else playing him
Only Tom could have made Loki lovable.
4:50 really shows although this Loki on Disney + is a variant it is still played the same by Tom. It's cool to see, also you can TELL Hiddlestone is moved even talking about the characters story.. really connects with the character!! cool stuff!!!
Well he’s literally the same Loki from avengers sacred timeline…
Tom is right up there with the best
Thank you for Loki!
Hiddleston needs Downey money now.
He's definitely the glue holding the MCU together right now
deserves**
Instead of literally being one of the lowest paid MCU actors next to Clark Gregg.
Thank you Tom, for you, for all of us. For all time. Always.💚
Yeh same I am wishing for I want to see Thor become Rune King Thor who meets Loki when he faces some consequences about Love(Gor's daughter) as she came from eternity and then he go to multiverse Yggdrasil for wish/magic something. POV:- This is my fan Theory.
He is so Cute when he is in his interview. ❤
Tom has certainly earned his way to the top of the list as far as my favorite Marvel character AND actor ever involved in the MCU.
