Scandroid, the modern Synthwave project from Detroit based artist/producer Klayton, best known for his multi-genre project Celldweller, is Klayton’s love letter to the 80s.
The debut, self-titled album features 15 tracks, ranging from the driving instrumental energy of "Destination Unknown," to melodic vocal tracks like "Awakening With You," "Aphelion," and "Neo-Tokyo," rounded out with the cinematic epics "2517" & "Singularity." As a child of the 80s, Klayton has also included a cover of the classic Tears For Fears song "Shout," that he has been patiently waiting to cover since he first heard the song on U.S. radio in 1985. The digital album concludes with a bonus remix from synthwave artist Waveshaper. The 72 minute album depicts themes of a cyberpunk future where humans and sentient robots struggle to find a connection in their dystopian world.

Scandroid is a beautiful music, not agressive, not dark and not too complex, its like made just for me (but i dont like lyrics about sex, and nude females in shout video) . In the past Klayton made this kind of music for Criss Angel. Search for tracks on RUclips - Revelation, Enrapture, Epilogue, Cocoon. If you dont know - all Criss Angels music is made by Klayton. I have enough agression and negativity in my life and inside of me, so i like scandroid, it makes me forget about bad things. I hate tracks like - one good reason, shapeshifter, heavy guitars, growling, dark ambient.

Absence Spectrum yeah, connection. And in other song where he dreams about neo-Tokyo, he says "plug in, online". I always smile when i hear it, it sounds like he is dreaming about cybersex. But that song is most beautiful song from album, in my opinion. I dont like his hairstyle, but i like his normal voice (without crazy screaming), it goes deep inside of me, like its my own voice, and i have found why - my ancestors lived in mediterranian countries in old times. Some italians, greeks, turks, middle eastern, balkan, caucasus people are genetically wery close to each other, they all came from middle east region. They look same, and voice sounds same way, and i am sure that God gave them some special abilities, talents, that they use in good way or evil way.

I just discovered Synthwave the other day. I had already been trying to get around to Celldweller for a few months, but the fact that Synthwave eventually lead me right to Celldweller is so fucking strange, I can definitely say one thing though, discovering this music is a huge breakthrough. This is some seriously awesome shit that there happens to be a whole shit ton of being made, Klayton is probably the best part about it though.
A bit of a late suggestion, but you have listened to Carpenter Brut? If not then I highly recommend you check out Night Stalker, Turbo Killer & Roller Mobster - all masterpieces of Synthwave IMO.

Wonder what happened with Klayton at 2:20? Seems like he had a brain fart for, like, three seconds.
actually, from what I see, it's kind of hard to miss, but the secondary "glitched out" version of him still seems to sing the word 'binary' so it's kinda like an old computer hang-up where it would glitch a bit and give audio, and the video would kinda tweak out... kinda cool.
