The contradictions for every Paradox Pokemon further proves why dont actual exist in the past or future, but they do make you wonder why they were allowed to be created, and by who, which makes them that much more interesting. I think the "time machine" is now making use of the professors brain to create paradox Pokemon just like it did with Heath
Past Paradoxes are all Dinosaurs while future ones are all robots. We shouldn't deny that. It's super impossible that every Pokémon just go in those ways.
As usual, you achieving something other PokeTubers do. You keep convincing me in every single video even if I had another idea in the beginning of the video. Love it!
Great video, amazing animations, great new theories. Really think you're onto something with the speculation of Past forms actually being Future forms and so forth.
I say the paradoxes were drawn not just through time, but through space as well. We don’t know how many times Arceus as called someone to the past, most of the time the same person, to ensure the bond between Trainer and Pokemon starts. And I’d think the Time Machine being used would’ve drawn the attention of the creation trio at the very least. The past paradoxes actually clarify related species. Great Tusk confirms that Phanpy and Swinub are related species. Scream Tail, Flutter Mane, and Sandy Shocks prove that because evolution stones were never found in the past, the ones that require special means to evolve never could, so they had to become stronger with the highest form they could be. Future paradoxes show which Pokémon are fully evolved in the present. Meaning whichever future paradox matches the present, the present can never evolve. Delibird is fully evolved.
Plus all the past Paradox pokemon are of analogs to creatures of our past in the 30,000 to 30 million years ago as opposed to the fossil Pokemon of 65 million to 300 million years ago.
If those pokemon would be from past or future, they wouldn't be labeled as paradox pokemon, but past and future pokemon. People don't get what paradox means. It means that something exists or works despite being a contradiction.
Suicune one actually fits In our real world there were a lot of mammals who appeared more reptilian like back then because it was suited for survival and overtime they evolved to no longer need it Raikou entei suicune in their original forms all shared a common ancestor and when ho-oh revived them it tapped into their Primal Dormant DNA and reawakened the aspects that ho-oh figured would suit them best in their current state
As my imagination go, if all of the Paradox exist in the real timeline, it could be: Future Paradox -> Past Paradox -> Current Pokemon The story could be, before the current society, there was a more advance civilization that create the "future" paradox (which explain why Iron Bundle is said to created by the ancient civilization). Then for some reason, that civilization disappear (like Atlantis). However, one of them survive which is the Sandy Shocks. Through time without the civilization, the ironsand where it leaves attached to the Sandy Shocks body and gradually become part of the species (which may explain why it looked "modern" but is a "past" paradox, just like the old toy robot of the "past"). As for the Pokemon, except for the "Paradox Pokemon" (and Sandy Shocks) belong to that civilization still exist, due to harsh environment, they become the "Past Paradox". Then the environment become better. They become the current Pokemon and then the current society It like the "Future" Paradox may actually exist before the past one, but since they look so advanced, the current people think that those "Future" Paradox belong to the Future
I think its much simpler. The paradox pokemon are from alternate universes, rather than different times. One where pokemon are dominant, and one where humans completely took over. Think of it like jurassic world and terminator. Besides, none of these pokemon would exist if they were really from a different time. That's why arodactal and the other fossils dont have modern forms. That's why the professors actually travel to these places. They exist, but they can go there without messing up the current timeline because it's a different universe entirely.
I mean, that's literally what a "Paradox" Is they're not supposed to Exist but they do anyway They're from Paradox timelines That aren't the timeline we are in during the games story The Time Machine is more a Dimensional Gate rather just a Time Machine The Paradox Pokemon aren't Manufactured They're basically another kind of Ultra Beast Pokemon from a different Dimension You know how Ultra Beasts have both the more traditional Pokemon names But are then called by an Alias Which is more of a Scientific name than how other Pokemon are named The only real Past or Future Pokemon Would be Koraidon and Miraidon (They're literally named Past and Future) As they don't have the weird names Think about it, it's confirmed in game that Koraidon and Miraidon look like Cyclizar While The Paradox Pokemon only sort of Resemble species of Pokemon with the obvious sign they aren't Ancestors or Decendents It's possible the Time Machine has two Modes Time Travel (What brought over Koraidon and Miraidon) than Dimensional travel (The Paramon)
What I the reason pokeball normal ones were made red and yellow was because they took inspiration from amoongus since its pattern attracts pokemon they probably thought it would be usefull for capturing the. Easily
I can't wait for the DLC to come out to hear your analysis! Nice placement of the Orochimaru theme at the part of the video for roaring moon, really sets the mood perfectly. And the ending statement about the present resonates with me on a personal level. Heartwarming and profound. This game is amazing and so is your animation! I want to become a Pokemon content creator myself. :)
Just another note I had my suspicions when I seen scream tail kinda looked like sada with the feral look and hair same could be said for flutter mane to an extent and kiraidon 😂 like they all came from her mind on some Molly and entei of vibe. Even down to the book Molly had and the crystals parallel.
One thing that sets past Paradox pokemon apart from fossil Pokemon is the analog of the time period they're from. Fossil pokemon are from the formation of complex life itself ( Anorith, Omanyte, Kabuto, Lileep) to dinosaur like pokemon( Aridactyl, tyrunt, Amaura and Archeops).
I think the appropriate term is desires as that seems to be the revolving theme of Paldea and desires have historically been compared or associated with gems and treasure. The two professors desired a world where these pokemon lived and so such a world was created and those pokemon were brought forth from those realities that at the same time doesn't exist. The android left and lived in a world that doesn't exist, an entire lifetime within a moment's eternity which surely would be like paradise, all because that is what was desired. They even lamented their inability to fulfill their own desires before crossing over.
I agree The "Time Machine" isn't really a time machine It's more like a Teleporter to another Dimension/World that was manufactured by the Professor It would make sense that they're "Paradox" creatures cause they shouldn't really exist but do anyway It's kind of like how the Ultra Beasts have weird secondary names
As much as a despise “it’s all fake” theories (twice as much if it’s the actual storyline *cough DanganV3*), I have to admit that Paradox Pokémon being imagined and not actually from their respective times actually makes sense. It’s actually a theory I enjoy. It kind of points back to the “professors” we talked to throughout our journey: not the real ones yet still living with us today. Even if they weren’t the real ones, they still had desires and thoughts that clashed with the originals. It’s kind of sad thinking they the AI wouldn’t see that distant past/future, but an empty black void, proving that there was no actual Time Machine.
They weren’t named by the people of the future and past they were named by the people of present day who don’t know anything about them and just came up with something to describe them It’s no different than how we name newly discovered fossils
Hopefully they are not truly past and future forms as these don’t feel like true past and future forms, it would be cooler to get brand new Pokémon that are similar to them but not exactly like them, Scream Tail is literally just a Jigglypuff with long hair and yellow eyes. It would be cool in future games to get actual past and future Pokémon that are like the fossil Pokémon where they are actually separate Pokémon and have brand new designs, they could also relate Pokémon lines together. For example two lines that fans have speculated to be related for years are Lapras and Squirtle line. They could have a Pokémon that has elements of both but is also it’s own thing. It’s pretty obvious that none of these Pokémon are actually past and future Pokémon, the future Pokémon can get away with things more since they are from the future and anything can change the future, also since they are robotic and not actually related to any of their present day counterparts. Also Roaring Moon being similar to Mega Evolution could fit the idea that they are imagined is that whoever imagined them got inspired from the mega Salamence and thought up Roaring Moon. It would be cool if in the dlc we got a past paradox that fused Pikachu and Eevee like how Iron Valiant fused Gallade and Gardevoir. If fusion ever does appear in the series in the future it would definitely have to be permanent instead of a temporary battle gimmick, making them permanent Pokémon would work so much better.
Paradox pokemon is fake one thing to mention is ho oh created the 3 beast pokemon these are suicune entei raikou, why is suicune in the past if ho oh created them my theory is what if the paradox pokemon came from other world the time machine in the game teleports you into the past version of the other world or future version of the other world
i reckon the paradox forms were pulled from neighbouring realities rather than the past or future - future ones from an parallel world where they started on tech progression 100-300 years a head, past being from a time where the a mass extinction didn’t happen

Probably to the desired realities created. Even if they don't exist anymore they could have lived their lives within the eternal moment doing exactly what the original professors wished to do.

It could also still be possible that the past paradox Pokemon could still actually have existed in the past in those forms and not imaginary when using regional variants and how Pokemon sometimes seemingly randomly come into being as a bit of proof. We're talking about magical creatures that can tap into bizarre abilities that have the ability the shrink themselves and sometimes can control quantum forces or shape the environment. And we've seen how drastically they change when adapting to other regions.
Ah, the imagination theory. Ironically, upon any amount of critical thought it proves just as flimsy as it claims the Paradox pokemon being from the past/future is. Let's ignore the fact that the game outright, repeatedly tells us that they're from the past/future, and that anyone capable of creating a machine capable of creating complex life forms from nothing is equally capable of making a legitimate time machine and *definitely* capable of knowing the actual functionality of their own invention. Let's ignore the fact that this theory being true would completely defeat the point of AI's sendoff. Let's ignore the fact that these Pokemon were sighted(and even heard in the distance) without ever being imagined first, and that the only one known to be imagined, the Legendary Beasts/Swords of Justice fusions, is not real, with the vastly different Walking Wake and Iron Leaves being the closest equivalent. Let's ignore that time travel is already a well-established thing in Pokemon, with a consistent stable time loop system. Let's talk about the actual, supposed, contradictions. -Being based on tropes about the future isn't a contradiction. Being based on tropes about the past isn't a contradiction. It requires much more to actually be a contradiction in a fantasy setting. -Convergent forms pretty clearly explain many of the supposed evolutionary issues with the past paradox forms, and also explains all the future forms: Rather than being biologically related, they're simply robots/cyborgs based on the originals. -There's no issue with Brute Bonnet, as Foongus' dex entry implies that the modern Poke ball was based on the Amoonguss line's markings rather than the other way around. -There's also no issue with Sandy Shocks: Just as Conkeldurr is canonically responsible for teaching humans how to create concrete, Sandy Shocks may have been the first being to create iron filings. -The claim that there's a contradiction with Slither wing is especially silly, since it's quite obvious that the Volcarona myth is exactly that: The myth implies that Volcarona is a singular individual rather than a species, which we know isn't the case. We know with 100% certainty that the myth is not true, so it's ridiculous to argue based on it. We can clearly conclude that the time machine is a time machine.
The animations within these videos are so clean, keep up the great work!

The production quality of this video is amazing, love the clips of the paradoxes just hanging :3

That's what I was thinking
It's another Dimension
I mean, that's literally what a "Paradox" Is
they're not supposed to Exist but they do anyway
They're from Paradox timelines
That aren't the timeline we are in during the games story
The Time Machine is more a Dimensional Gate rather just a Time Machine
The Paradox Pokemon aren't Manufactured
They're basically another kind of Ultra Beast
Pokemon from a different Dimension
You know how Ultra Beasts have both the more traditional Pokemon names
But are then called by an Alias
Which is more of a Scientific name than how other Pokemon are named
The only real Past or Future Pokemon
Would be Koraidon and Miraidon (They're literally named Past and Future)
As they don't have the weird names
Think about it, it's confirmed in game that Koraidon and Miraidon look like Cyclizar
While The Paradox Pokemon only sort of Resemble species of Pokemon with the obvious sign they aren't Ancestors or Decendents
It's possible the Time Machine has two Modes
Time Travel (What brought over Koraidon and Miraidon) than Dimensional travel (The Paramon)

The reason the lore calls them robots is because they don’t know much about them so all the modern day people are doing is assuming

We can clearly conclude that the time machine is a time machine.
was this lore in the game? how did i miss it?
