I won't duplicate praise for your work. Your work is insane!❤ I just want to share 1 thing me that my group disliked about 0.5 (maybe you already addressed it in 0.6). Don't be mad at us, we don't want to discourage you from your work just want to state our opinion. Me and my boyz love budokai games since our toddler days. We still gather every few months(or at least try to gather haha) for in-house tournaments. One thing we loved about og budokai was its streamlined controls and how easy it was to pick for new people. No matter which character you pick you know what to expect when you press a certain button. The tutorial used to be "Press this and it will do this". Easy to pick, hard to master. While playing Budokai 0.5 demo we got a little frustrated on how inconsistent some controls were. Example: some characters have real-time finisher set to "up + ki blast", some have cut scene finisher set on the same input. Some have real-time finisher on "guard + ki blast", some have a cinematic finisher on "guard + ki blast", some have super move (like Piccolo has his Mystic attack guard+ki blast), and Cell and Kid Buu have their counter moves set to this input. It is confusing to say the least. We know there are some characters who have like 5/6 moves at their disposal, but would it be possible to adjust controls to make it less confussing and more in line with other budokais? Hyper mode/Aura Burning trigger is not active so maybe it could be used for some input combos? Like any direction + ki blast = super moves (4 per character) Guard + ki blast = counter move. Saiyans could have ki knockback, Frieza and Alliens telekinesis (port from tenkaichi), earthlings counter dash kick (future gohans super from Shin Budokai), majins sleep strike, androids barrier) and etc, L2 (aura burn) + ki blast = cinematic ultimate L2(aura burn) + triangle = real time finisher. We love what you guys are doing with character balance, 4 super moves, transformation system overhaul, new real time supers and etc., but please make inputs(controls) feel improvement too, not step backwards.
Thanks for your feedback! I know that some characters have inconsistent Specials placement, we're currently reworking those in order to make them pretty much all the same. It will be fixed in B4 v0.6, don't worry. :D "Hyper Mode" was a B3 thing, it doesn't exist in IW vanilla nor B4 consequently. "Aura Burning" was a thing in IW, we removed it and now it doesn't exist in B4. We reused the "B" input for "Aura Burst", it's written in the "ReadMe.txt" file that came with the .ISO, mind you. ;) We'll try to keep "→E" / "←E" / "↓E" for Supers, "E+G" for RTFs or Counters, and "↑E" for Ultimate Moves with a scripted cutscene (or stronger RTFs for characters who don't have a cutscene Ult). Feel free to report other issues and thanks for playing B4!

Guard + E makes sense for cinematics since that input in vanilla IW was used to perform cinematic throw and directional inputs for real-time attacks logically makes sense to have on directional input + ki blast. It is your vision and only you know what's best. We are mere followers and we can either clap or cry, you choose the tune, Doctor! P.S. I don't recall the exact names as aura burn/burst mode/hyper mode is usually "Don't press this button' in our tournaments lol. So much potential Missed his destructo disk for his full power form and the supernova for his base and mecha form but still amazing Second form Cell also lack his red big bang attack (big bang crash) to make him even more unique. It could be just a reskin of your Super Vegeta’s big bang attack that he would be able to cancel too

Great great moveset. I think you should have game him Sb2 Cooler’s instant supernova as well since he destroyed planet vegeta with it. Also, I wonder if its possible to take some of the rush attacks from sb2 like Gotenks Volley ball and add them to the moveset of the characters ? Some of them are really intersting. Or even simplier attacks like Goku’s kaioken kamehameha.

I even paid an Indian programmer $80 on Fiverr to replace every Blue Form in Fighter Z with the regular golden Super Saiyan and replace the Ultra Instinct Lazy form with SSJ4. I have brain cancer. Watching Dragonball Super gave it to me. Budokai 4 has the potential to cure it.

Yes, we already did and we will keep fixing those details. Yes, we have already added several new voice lines, or fixed previously broken ones. Yes, I plan to port B1 stages as well, but we still don't know if it's possible. Yes, we use assets from DBZ Burst Limit and Budokai HD Collection. We already did, in fact. Yes, we plan to change characters portraits, but that's an aesthetic details we'll save for later. No, we don't plan to add DBS content atm. I think you should catch up with all my videos about Budokai 4 and its changes/details, you'll see that a lot of stuff you asked for (or will ask for) is already implemented. I also suggest you to play our Budokai 4 v0.5 public Demo, to get the feeling of the game. It's a bit messy, but it's a Demo. :)
I also love the fact that DBS isn’t included. As an old school db/dbz/gt fan myself it’s literally a dream come true to see all these ideas put together to create a ‘true’ budokai 4 without DBS content. What these guys are doing is incredible. Keep up the good work guys

We actually wanted to call this project "IW CE", which meant "DBZ Infinite World Complete Edition", but when we showcased it in the Budokai modding Discord, everyone kept saying this was "the real Budokai 4", so we eventually got along with it. :)
Thanks, but we won't be doing that. In fact, we chose IW over B3 as base for this project exactly 'cause it doesn't have Hyper Mode, DragonRush nor Beam Clashes. Those mini-games have no place in a competitive meta.
When you destroy a stage using an Ultimate Move, it already kills the opponent if he has low health. If you're talking about hazards instead, it wouldn't make sense.
@Dr._Doppietta I can why you would say stage hazard wouldn't make sense but seeing that you do all that damage and then they have no health I just think it's weird it resets to neutral that way
@@Dr._Doppietta I've been searching for a cheat value, Im not really an expert. The cheat is to dodge all incoming attacks, like I want to freeze the value and get the code. So my players and be on auto dodge without touching button.. I believe it's possible

@@Amir.Premium Your eyes are deceiving you, then. This might come as a surprise to you, but this whole video was RECORDED while the game was running at 50fps. There's no trick nor cheat. PAL games *can't* run at 60fps natively, you should do your own research before asking for something that doesn't exist. I have no .pnach codes nor cheats enabled, I just play and record at 50fps and it works like a charm. If your emulator is stuttering, even with NTSC mode enabled, check out your setting. Or maybe your PC isn't powerful enough to output fps steadily to begin with.

I've already heard of people running B4 v0.5 Demo .ISO on a real PS2 hardware, but Idk how. It prob requires a custom hardware and / or software, or maybe OPL.
As Frankie already explained, we chose IW over B3 as base for our project exactly 'cause we didn't want any minigames. They have no place in a competitive fighting game.

They were either ported from another game, or they were created for this game. I'm not too sure

We actually wanted to call this project "IW CE", which meant "DBZ Infinite World Complete Edition", but when we showcased it in the Budokai modding Discord, everyone kept saying this was "the real Budokai 4", so we eventually got along with it. :)

In fact, we chose IW over B3 as base for this project exactly 'cause it doesn't have Hyper Mode, DragonRush nor Beam Clashes. Those mini-games have no place in a competitive meta.

Did you think about doing stage destruction kills?
When you destroy a stage using an Ultimate Move, it already kills the opponent if he has low health.
If you're talking about hazards instead, it wouldn't make sense.
@Dr._Doppietta I can why you would say stage hazard wouldn't make sense but seeing that you do all that damage and then they have no health I just think it's weird it resets to neutral that way
@@namito3958 In order for that to kill, we would have to mess with game's code, camera and scripts.

@@Dr._Doppietta I've been searching for a cheat value, Im not really an expert. The cheat is to dodge all incoming attacks, like I want to freeze the value and get the code. So my players and be on auto dodge without touching button.. I believe it's possible

how's ur game runs on 60fps aren't only bt4 available at the pal region ? are u using patch code ?
Almost all PAL PS2 games can run at 60fps natively, just by switching to NTSC Mode.
@@Dr._Doppietta man i did that and it aint working and i even ended up askein chatgpt for the 60fps for the dumb pal region patch since somehow the internet don't have 60fps pal patch and man it suck's non of hes patch'es worked for me and AHEMM am not used to play on 50fps shit feels wrong i would be glad if u gived me more info about how u got ur game feels smooth G

This might come as a surprise to you, but this whole video was RECORDED while the game was running at 50fps. There's no trick nor cheat. PAL games *can't* run at 60fps natively, you should do your own research before asking for something that doesn't exist.
I have no .pnach codes nor cheats enabled, I just play and record at 50fps and it works like a charm. If your emulator is stuttering, even with NTSC mode enabled, check out your setting. Or maybe your PC isn't powerful enough to output fps steadily to begin with.

i can run this game on 2k its not about pc's im just not used to play at any ratio under 60's (thats why i have beef wid nintendo players)

I've already heard of people running B4 v0.5 Demo .ISO on a real PS2 hardware, but Idk how.
It prob requires a custom hardware and / or software, or maybe OPL.

Im not really a fan of those repetitive key blast extensions and repetitive normals, it's just kills the hype of combo for me
They're the best option to increase the damage, melee alone won't cut it.
