Hey man I have a question about the alternator, I have a 2002 e320 and something keeps making my alternator go bad ive had 2 put in since January of 2023 and I'm needing a 3rd one now.. i just got the one that's in now put on in February and it's already draining my batteries, I have my old one and just bought a brand new battery and it's draining it already.. what could cause my alternator to keep going bad so fast?
@ThePullUpKing thanks for the response, and I'm not aware of any leaks, I don't see any oil/dirt on the alternator. I just jumped my car and it's just not holding charge at all it'll only get 11.5 volts and it just goes down while looking at it.. I'm trying to avoid going to the same shop to get my 3rd alternator this year so I'm asking questions and watching videos to figure it out myself.
I replace my alternator and my battery is working fine but it won't start now. You turn the key in it just goes click, almost look something stopping it.

Valve cover gaskets could be leaking oil. Is the alternator caked with oil/dirt?

@@ThePullUpKing okay... so an electrical issue could be what's causing my alternator to keep giving out and battery to not hold a charge?
@ThePullUpKing just wondering, could it have anything to do with the fuses? I haven't changed any fuses since owning the car witch has been 3 years.
