Spring 2024 - Rapids of the Lower Owyhee - 1500cfs
Solo trip down the Owyhee River in March 2024. Birch was closed so we ended up getting a boat shuttle to Leslie as the reservoir was full at the time.
Notable rapids:
- Nuisance rapid - To us was the most technical. Slow your downriver momentum and slide through. Multiple lines as the video shows.
- Montgomery rapid - Simple class 3 move. The far right side entrance was junky for our gear boat. Recommend running river left and carrying a left to right move to avoid the house rocks at the end.
- Artillery rapid - Stay left of the island for a fun class 2 wave train! Right developed class 4 moves that could catch you off guard if not paying attention.
