That first gorge was rowdy! Every time I thought that looks hard, the next shot was even worse. I really don't know how you fit in a kayak with balls that big :)
SUCH an epic video. This is one of the first videos i’ve seen that i’m scared with matty. I’m a beginner kayaker that’s watched these insane vids for a while now. Now that i’ve been in the water some I can actually appreciate just how small we are compared to the river. Some of the holes on that river are mad scary. But the risk is what makes it all worth it, especially when it goes right!
@@petrhermanadventures9509 yeah I don’t think he was joking either, just the way that it was pieced together was humorous though, but yeah, I agree with you
green boat shredding that first river!!! Took that rock wall like a man, hangs onto his paddle and just rolls up! no big deal. I'm guessing Bren is in his firecracker because he was seeing a lot of sky! That was stout!
Great River MUCH higher than a I ran it way back in the day -can't remember how long ago. Look at running the river by Çağlayan North Turkey on the Black Sea Coast. Loads of creeks there.
I like seeing the swims and rescues too. I think over the years I have learned a lot about rescue but every time you see one I think we all learn a little, plus if your are not swimming once in a while it's time to step up your game
I'm still new to kayaking, and after that video, I needed to watch a nice steady river touring and camping video with chilled music! Amazing content, cheers
Wow! That was pushy as all hell. Once you hit Play , there's no pause for sure! Luckily no one mashed their knuckles or broke a paddle. And no elbow guards? You guys are monsters.
Hello Bren. What you do is crazy. I didn't get to paddle with but had the chance to meet you when you went to Kenya to paddle the Tana, upper Thiba and other rivers in Western Kenya. It would be nice to see you back in Africa to do a second descent on the Rusizi (a large volume white water river in Rwanda) right on the boarder🤠.
I love the old school kayak video feel you did with this one by throwing in some great punk rock music. You even threw in a little "you gonna eat that" at the end. I totally feel for your buddy and his getting stuck in his head. I'm that exact kayaker getting stuck in my head when things get pushy and unknown.
@@Senders every kayaker should be exposed to ALL the old school videos. Savage Kayaks had a great promo video for the Skream, Beast and Maniac that we used to have playing on loop in the shop I worked at. And Aphrodisia had an awesome splat section of the video of some dude in a scorpion I think.
Absolutely amazing kayaking, I went out here years ago on a trip at way lower water, that top gorge is so deep such a serious section of whitewater absolute respect to you all. We didn't go in to that section but did the last gorge down to a road bridge from what I remember.
Three questions for you Bren... a) How controllable (or otherwise) did you find the Firecracker's stern in all that mayhem? b) How did the Firecracker compare on those runs with the Ripper 2.0 in terms of stability and nailing lines? c) You obviously have no problem running big, boily water in a half-slice, BUT are there any advantages over a non-slice in doing so? Cheers, Dave.
firecracker maybe a biiiit small for that first run? :D good thing you are a freakin' beast, but this was, imho, not a reasonable choice for any mortal man.
Definitely got some old school vibes from this edit - nice seeing some smaller kayaks on the big stuff again. I was getting bored of the big boat trend. Watching how you hit the lines in the Firecracker and how the boat reacts it might be worth considering a back to back to back to back kayak demo on an Alpine line this summer. Show the same line in 4 different sizes of kayak, from Jed to Firecracker to Ripper to Scorch? Just a thought...
I think I say it on all your videos but another great one although does remind me of one of my bigger kayaking regrets I was meant to do a few months as a videographer on the Dalaman River in Turkey in the early 2000’s and the spend a month exploring however due to outside influences it never happened, gutted!!!
The whitewater on that first gorge run just looked so chaotic. I can imagine Matty feeling ill at ease running that! The comment followed by that swim footage at the end made me smile! BTW Bren, what's with the dead caterpillar on your upper lip? Did Adrian infect you? ;-)
Mad respect for skills, but I seriously question the judgement of taking a half slice into a gorge like that... I mean, in all seriousness, if the shit goes down, what's someone in a half slice gonna do for somebody swimming in that shit.
Mmm, yeah I see your point but at the same time I feel like I can be useful rescuing someone in any kayak I am in. We had spare paddles and a group shelter between us on the water.
On that day, Matty transgressed into his true form!!!!!!! Legend status unlocked!
He's on his way! He's already such a sick kayaker!
That first gorge was rowdy! Every time I thought that looks hard, the next shot was even worse. I really don't know how you fit in a kayak with balls that big :)
This is positive peer pressure in action and I love it.

Off the hook
Mind blowing!!
Bomb proof rolling skills, fuelled by gallons of adrenaline required there!! 😂
That rapid at 3:52 would not make me feel fine either!!
Dude, that gorge run was gnarly AF with those narrow, undercut walls!
He said no I am not fine 😂
Glad someone else found that as funny as I do!
I don't think he was joking at that point, but hey if you don't feel like throwing up, it's probably not hard enough.
@@petrhermanadventures9509 yeah I don’t think he was joking either, just the way that it was pieced together was humorous though, but yeah, I agree with you
Ok that looks terrifying as hell in those tighter spots... im sure its fun as hell for the experienced kayaker.

Firecracker down this was bold
Haha, I felt the same and then I got used to it :p

Haha, cheers for watching mate!
Definitely a special day for you guys.
No doubt!
YOU GUYS ARE WORLD CLASS -- THAT WAS NARROW & GNARLY AF
This is one of the sickest edits I've seen from senders. Love the footage, the music, and the transitions
Thanks for watching mate!
Ohhh yeaaaah that's the best video of Turkey I've ever seen 4 sure!! You guys are absolutely awesome!
Cheers for the times bro!
One of my favs yet, great shots, perfect music, really showed the chaos!
Gnarly! Matty killed it!!!
Well done boys! I knew these canyons will be paddled one day in high flows too.
That‘s the edit I was waiting for. Some real nasty and beautiful whitewater, Great skill, Good vibes and a whole lot of fun 🤙🏼🤙🏼

taking the fire cracker through the narrow where matty hit his shoulder, was a rodeo and a half. 💪

This is how I feel when I go down a flatwater section that's moving slightly quickly
Amazing video. Epic river.
Thanks for watching man!
Nice to see the firecracker on some big water
What an epic vid!!!
Cheers for watching mate!
I'm heading off for a trip with Mike K tomorrow :).

Exactly what I was going for
New too white water kayaking and love all your videos. Gotta say that first section through the gorge looked like some scary shit 😂 🔥🔥🔥
Haha, it was scary sheet! Cheers for watching man!
Holy hell that rapid !
Those rapids put the d into difficult and b into ballsy for running them. Thanks
Wow. Serious water! At 5 mins in when you rolled up did you actually know what way the river was flowing? The boils were huge! Kudos!
Crazy Bastards!!!! Love it

Damn, thats some serious Washing-Machines...better know your Strokes...you Guys are Top Level, as we know already
Yeah man, lots of fast problem solving moments! :)
No idea how you ran that in a firecracker, that’s impressive as hell!
You tried it yet dawg? Small kayak for sure but it can mob down rapids surprisingly well!

This is such a sick edit

Is that a blue necky jive I spot at the kayak house- let’s see some stouts fires up in that thing
❤🔥🔥🧨
Sick!!!! But Bren should put the stabilization on will be way better

Nice moustache bro

What happened to you head Bren?! you had such beautiful hair before and now this^^
luckily the kayaking you guys are doing is as beautiful as always!
WOW, the hair!
Yall gatta start including the music you use at the end of the video. All the songs fucking slap!
All copyright free tracks from Epidemic sound bro!
You could just show all the laps too! I mean still frozen here and I am going through withdrawals.
Awesome! Just out of curiosity and because I can‘t really tell from the video - is the pink DragoRossi the Kush? Thanks!
Cheers for watching! Yes it is mate!
it big
Which airline are you traveling with your kayaks?
Sun express this time, 55euro no questions asked
Bren, you need a bigger boat
The narrow bit of this gorge is soooo nasty!
Yeah man at this flow it’s a lot of water to fit through there😬
Bacon triple stack
Where in Turkey is this? I've been to the coruh area before. Is this up near the black sea?
Manavgat. Maybe 2 hours from Antalya
The mustache is OK in Turkey but I am surprised they let you in with that hair.
Hahahaha, there was an actual strike at the airport. They had no time to investigate suspicious looking people 😆
The blond carrot top.
That hair though
Can you fix the audio ? Lots of dropouts…
How's Matty's head? 😮
The boy has a thick skull:)
