A NEW FAVOURITE AREA IN BANGKOK? Exploring Hip & Quiet ARI (Coffee, Sights, Khao Soi, Street Food)

- We love BANGKOK and want to explore the city from all sides! So in this video we visit a new area of BANGKOK that we haven’t been to before called ARI. Ari is a very hip, but also more quiet area in Bangkok with lots of picturesque streets, restaurants and good coffee. We spent a day trying coffee, street food, Khao Soi, thai milk tea and walk around Ari’s cute alleys and hipstery community area. Overall we try to answer the question whether Ari could be a new favourite area and if we'd consider staying in Ari next time we're in Bangkok.

@@ZoeandSimon I just got back from Thailand and saw your vid, my shock when you walk into the same place I had Khao soi as well in Ari. They also have a lot of other good stuff on the menu at that place so recommend anybody in bkk to try that restaurant ! I also went to the place next door for mango sticky rice which was also amazing price and quality
Very nice! We were also surprised to find such a great Khao soi place, it was so good 😁 We'd love to go back there next time and try some more food and the mango sticky rice also sounds great 😋

I keep telling people, Ong Tong makes absolutely the best khao soi you'll find anywhere. I have to drive a long way to the nearest branch but it's absolutely worth it.

You'll be heading back to a freezing Germany that can't afford to heat it's self. Ari is very trendy and more expensive like areas such as Thonglor

You went to the wrong Soi Ari 4, you should have gone to Soi 4 on the other side of Phahon Yothin 7, it's Soi Ari 4 Fang Nua Alley. There is a whole row of cafes and two areas where there are multiple shops, GUMP's Ari Community Space and around the Josh Hotel. Near Josh on Ari 4 is Bar Storia del Cafe that do good coffee and very nice all day breakfast and other European food. On Phayon Yothin 7 between Soi 1 and the main road is a fruit shop that does great fruit smoothies (Thai only menu) and his wife makes Portuguese Egg Tarts and Biscotti daily (available late afternoon). I'm not sure if they speak English but are really nice people so I'm sure they will help you out to understand the menu. I stayed at The Quarter Ari by UHG, pricey but it puts you in the area so not far to waddle home after your food adventures!

There is a Boots in the Villa Market on main road opposite BTS Ari. The other type of dispensary is on Soi Ari 4 Fang Nua, Green Fairy 🧚♀️
