Having more surface detail anatomy would be a waste of time. As the anatomy changes with the movement of the body. these figures are just for gesture study. You still need to know your anatomy.

Got this, I'm on the same page as you regarding the anatomy. Fun to mess around with, but my biggest complaint about the articulation (other than the hips) is the weak ankle rocker. The ankles should definitely pivot more for dynamic poses
I hope Tamashii release a new stage set with this new design, the new three prong clamp seems alot more stable, and the storage base would save alot of space if we could just keep accessories right under each figure imo.
Its all in the name Figu--Arts as in stances for arts, posing for art. Its an artists pose figure but still a great figure if your collecting these. Good video and camera work was excellent with good narration throughout!

They should be using this figure's leg joints for the Vegeta, Trunks and other anime figure line-ups.
These are used a lot for drawing especially in japan when drawing dynamic poses in manga
I'm collecting protagonists from several shonen jump mangas (so far I have 4) and have them act like the avengers (or jump force) and I'm planning to buy this figure and use this as a tabuu like figure
I prefer to use 3D Models for Anatomy references, Much more dynamic Posing options, but these Physical things are nice too, Esp when there is no Tech around or room is too small for Tech.
And oh nice, They give you a rack for hands and a storage container!...if only other SH Figuarts did that...
I love this figure, but I'm not an artist and therefore I can't justify it in my budget. This is probably as close as you'll get (at least in the near future) to review a shinkoccho seihou figure (which I usually rave about), so I'm glad you bought one.

Are weapons for body kun as big as the ones for body chan?
I'm thinking about getting a pale orange body chan and a grey body kun (only for the weapons and stuff, now I'm wondering if the pale orange chan could hold them too)

Yeah I bought around five for customization and I can say I made 2 custom figures successfully but the others were failures but hey, now I have a custom ichigo kurosaki figure
I decided to pick one of these up as a test to see if the Ball joints will fit my Sh figuarts sailor moon figures. Alot of the Wrist joints have been snapping lately And there are no Replacement joints to buy anywhere because those joints on my figures are specific, Hopefully the Kun joints fit they look about right

Take Beerus legs, take out the top of this figure, put it on the beerus legs, put clay or whatever on the top, then paint it pink with black and red eyes, white legs, ETC, then you got super buu. done.
It would be Awesome if he makes that into Deadpool

i should have watched your review before buying, the female figure (body chan) i received... the arm fell apart easy, the mid body part is limp and just wont stay.... basically it is almost impossible for me to stand it upright let alone pose with it....
May I know where did you buy this? I bought a bootleg body chan and god the left arm pops out the minute I moved it -_-

I looked under my dasin model ichigos clothes thing and this is the joints for the dasin model ichigo LOL
I just got this exact model, and I have a couple of issues with it. Looking at your review, it seems I got a defective or a fake product.
The shoulders on mine don't have any friction, so they just fall. you can hardly pose it with the arms forward with just fists, so the katana is out of the question.
Another thing I noticed is that some joints are very hard to move while others are easier.There doesn't seems to be much consistency in the joints.
The last thing is the ankle rocker - It has about 2 or 3 degrees of side to side rotation, which is basically nothing at all...

It's overpriced there, but I thought that would eliminate the risk of getting a knockoff.
Yeah, I kinda figured that out when they sent a replacement that was much better than the first one, but still shitty.
The second one they sent me is mostly OK, but one ankle rocker can't rock at all.
On the bright side, I now have 2 figures I'm not too worried to break or mod.

It's a pity that you didn't try to swap the hands. I have one of these and the wrist mechanism makes it impossible. It's all very well having a bunch of extra hands but they are not much use on the sprue. You are recommending something yet you didn't even try it?
The "wrist mechanism" is a standard piece of articulation which works perfectly well. I'm sorry you weren't able to figure it out.
I figured it out OK - it's simply too tiny. After several minutes' trying I managed to change one hand. Impossible to do the other one I wanted. But, go ahead, show us a video of where I am going wrong.
Has anyone tried popping off the head and putting on a dbz or naruto head on one of these? I have a spare sasuke figure and I want to put him in traditional samurai clothes

I wish there is a cheaper price for this guy I want to get one to customize and reference along with the female version but for fucks sacks THEY ARE 135 bucks each I don’t want to pay so much but they look soo cool and most of the knock offs I’ve seen either have bad quality control amthey fall off easy or they break in two
