- Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will get some massive camera upgrades. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to get a massive camera overhaul, and it's about time! According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will keep its quad-camera setup but will significantly upgrade two of the cameras with bigger and higher-resolution sensors.

Yesterday arm launched x925 rename of X5 great single core but again slower then upcoming apple A18 pro by a 25% same old story as s24 Ultra which is same as s23ultra which is almost (slightly beterr) then s22 ultra and that's the problem they are focusing their weakness

See single core might not matter to u but it will impact ur phone specially if ur keeping ur phone for 7years the galaxy s10 doens't perform as good as iphone x note -> not saying bad performance but not as good as iphone x which was it's competetion

the x5 scores also don't really mean anything as of right night
snapdragon ahs catched up to apple and surpassed them in some areas like GPU since the 8 gen2 but i agree samsung must improve video

What a shame!! I was really hoping to see 5X-10X optical zoom for the S25 Ultra. I'm getting tired of Samsung's promises.
When was it a promise? That's just not possible for a phone to do, at least not from Samsung's S series. Xperia phones have been doing it for a while but only recently can do it from 3.5x-7.1x. Expecting such a thing to be done in a phone that has a stylus inside of it already will only set you up for disappointment.

The problem with that is, periscope camera that has 10x optical can't fit bigger sensor any more than the thickness of your phone since it is placed facing sideways. That's why when samsung switch to 10x optical in s21 ultra, the sensor is shrinking in size from 12mp to 10mp. Unless you want a thick phone like rugged phone or another galaxy k-zoom.
I think that now the 3x will be strong enough which is why we dont need a 5x anymore, just put the 10x back because they can now take 6x portraits with the 3x and the quality at 9.9x wont be as bad as S23 Ultra. This is what the best zoom setup will be for me, they just need a slightly wider aperture for the old 10x and it will destroy the zoom category.
This seems cool but at this point I'm done with camera upgrades and would rather be more interested in major/minor software improvements or anything else but camera at this point.

Hopefully they integrate a proper cooling system this time. My S24 Ultra overheats more often than my S23 Ultra ever did.
So glad I didn't upgrade my s23u this year. Although I don't expect the s25 to perform any better in the heat dissipation department without proper active cooling (like the Red Magic Pro)

Tbh they really should've made the 10x 50MP, 3x 50MP, and Ultrawide 50MP. That should've been another selling point of the S24 Ultra.
Even at 10mp the 10x Had Problems With light.
They should have Done 3x 50mp and 10x 10mp.
So you can Zoom as far as 10x and the 3x does the Bridge for 3-10
@@Greedo1977 I agree, they could just keep upgrading the 10X sensor and make it bigger, since it was already great, 5X is kinda pointless because 3X with 50mp can achieve 5X easily. Then 10X could go up to 30X or 50X with insane quality.
@@xandygameryt I wouldn't say pointless, because for a 5x, it really is a good one. The new 10x "optimal" isnt as good as the old 10x but still its way Further than the 3x 50mp could do.

But i have to say that it feels weird having a 3x and a 5x optical Zoom.
In My opinion 3x is perfect (Not Samsungs 3x, but the concept of a 3x optical in generell), and then you can have a second Tele Just for fun (10x), With the crazy impressiv Zoom.
Why didnt they make Like a 6x or 8x 50mp at least.
I dont have an S24 Ultra but when im in the Store looking at it the 3x camera Just gets used for Portraits or when you are exactly in the range of 3-5x. An extra camera for that??? 😂
I mean better having that than needing that, but it still feels weird.
By the way, i think a good 3x is May more important than a good far Tele in generell aswell.
Samsung only has 10mp?? I have a Fold4 and i know the Sensor of My 3x is a little smaller than the one in the ultra, but both are still 10mp. It doesnt feel very sharp...
By the way, My Camera is fine, but the 50MP mode make My old Pixel3 Look better.
@Greedo1977 they need to do higher detail and larger sensor. 10mp, no matter how much image processing you apply, is atrocious in 2024

The upgrade camera sensors don’t mean anything if the software isn’t optimized. Bigger does not always make it better, especially if the sensors are optimized. What’s the purpose of creating more powerful hardware without actually taking full capability of the device?

The thing I wanna see on the s25 series is a new design. Especially for the base and plus variant. I can't imagine the ultra variant getting a new design because the current design is the best I can imagine for a quad camera phone. If anyone can prove me wrong, please. Would love to see some new ideas.

Indeed. It's probably due to cost, but I agree-they should opt for that tech instead of having two telephoto cameras.

That's dumb. Need to replace the 3x optical 50 megapixel with a 10x optical 50 megapixel. With 200 megapixels you can crop into 3x easily, or at least you should be able to.

Why??? Doesn't make the phone run better in any way at all. You can only design phones in a different way to an extent. Performance is more important than anything else.

If samsung is opting for 1 inch main sensor then they can pretty much ditch the 3x 50 MP in favour of 10X 50 MP. The mai sensor crop will still have good dof at 3x crop as would be 1 inch 200 MP sensor. We will get 10x 50 MP which will be a killer for zoom!! They are only keeping that 3x for continuous 8K accross lenses
1 inch would be a huge upgrade especially at that 200MP ngl.

Yes, a new ISP will boost the front camera's quality. Not sure yet if there will be a hardware upgrade, though.

i think they should give 7X optical instead of 5X for optimum zoom range
So the setup will be
0.5x 50 MP
1X 200MP also can take 2X in sensor crop
3X 50MP also can take 6X in sensor crop
7X 50MP also can take 14X in sensor crop till 100X digital zoom
So we get optimal zoom range from all cameras
I've got the S24 ultra. And the thing is overly intensively. Great phone. The pictures are amazing. It's super fast but I keep hearing things like better. Picture quality on the 25, ultra and even better on the 26 ultra. What kind of quality are we looking for does? A pictures have been made on the twenty four and even the twenty three are amazing in itself
Having a 50mp 3x is pointless as there only a 2x difference between the 3x and optical 5x

Will Samsung finally address the shutter lag?
Totally, they gotta fix that. I was snapping pics of my kid, and a bunch of them ended up blurry. Samsung really needs to sort out the shutter lag.
And yet we share our photos and videos on socials, which use compression to make all this irrelevant 🤯

Bring back band camp! And get rid of the stupid on screen fingerprint scanner. It's always so uncomfortable to use and is gimmicky as hell. I'd rather have the emergency pressure sensitive button back and perhaps have it so you have to press the screen to initiate the power on and finger print scan

You can onlynputbso much tech into a flagship phone and keep it at a viable price. Also the platform is not sophisticated one, and by that I mean it does not have state of the art cooling systems and the processing power must be kept at a certain level or else you will have system crashes.

MEGAPIXLES DON'T MEAN SH*T, the S25 needs to fix a lot of other issues regarding low light video, shutter lag, and some software tweaks here and there. not to forget maybe with a more powerful Cpu, it is better to have a bigger battery with faster charging speeds. These Megapixels terms are just like Benchmarks BS , all Marketing shenanigans
In My Opinion Samsung 200 MP Sensor is not up to mark ; Competitors Like One plus , Oppo find x7 ultra , XMI 14Ultra , Vivo X100 pro are way ahead..... Sony LYT 900 Sensor is dope . S24 Utra is just AI marketing strategy.

50MP 5x sensor in s24U is sh*t and can't even compared to many Chinese flagships especially at 10x. 1 inch sensor is only available from s27u and it's too late.
