I'm surprised you did not mentoin Toph mentoining Su's grandparents - which could imply that Toph, her father and her mother all reunited and became a family again (in the comics, her mom and dad broke up). Either that or she's sending her to her paternal grandparents.
I disagree about Lin being a stick in the one. She didn't do anything wrong, she was wronged by both Su and Toph. It's all well and good for Su and Toph to tell each other everything is okay, when Lin has clearly been holding onto that resentment. Also, while Su is willing to make up with Lin, she's being extremely dismissive of Lin's very legitimate feelings. That's why at the end of the episode, they BOTH apologize to each other. Edit: Also, you didn't touch on this, but Opal, being an Air-bender, is the one to break up the fight. Her spirit is true to the non-violent teachings of the Air Nomad culture, so it's fitting she is the one to stop the violence. Not a lot of people comment on that.

Just one question about Su and Lin situation, did Su ever APOLOGIZE to Lin because if she didn't, then it's possible that Lin thought Su was trying brush off all responsibility and act like the the permanent scar on Lin's face wasn't her fault To mention, did Su ever acknowledge the fact that she scared her sister badly?
Gonna play devil's advocate here for Lin; I'm not saying that Lin is totally in the right, but there is a little bit of justification for her anger, at least in my opinion. Sometimes people can leave scars too deep to heal. In this case, it wasn't just physically; it was also metaphorical. In the past, Lin was trying to look out for Sue in her own way. She's the kind of person that is bad at expressing her emotions and her feelings, so it comes off as her being mean. If it were the opposite, she would have done it a long time ago. Lin not reconciling with Sue shows that she still holds some hurt and anger towards the pain that her sister caused her. She also feels slighted because to her, it feels like her sister got off easy and is now living the high-life as ruler of a city. Sure, Lin got to be police chief after Toph resigned, but it was likely no cake walk. Lin likely feels like her sister got off easy instead of being punished. Hence why she's still angry and is bitter towards Sue. At least during most of that episode. In short, I don't blame Lin for feeling angry and resentful. It's not easy healing form the pain that close people have caused you, especially if they're family. It's even harder to open up to them about the pain you bottle up because you never know if they'll take it seriously or brush it off.
14:33 I think this was the point to show that each side has done bad things Lin doing bad in the present is to mirror how su was the one to do bad things in the past and I think it works su had more times to think about what she did than Lin and Lin had less time to think about until it’s too late and when she is it causes a lot of animosity towards Lin since she’s overwhelmed without considering her
I was really confused by the voice for a second, but hey, welcome back. Sounds like you've had an interesting 7 months. The "cowbell" is a wallet, by the way. The "blue round things" seem like earrings, or maybe parts of a necklace. Some kind of jewelry, at any rate. And yeah, the car chases are always unrealistic, but hey, rule of cool. Pretty much agree with your hot take on the whole extended Beifong drama & also on Opal as a character. Yeah, that line does make me curious about Lin's feelings on being a cop. I get the sense Toph ended up regretting it, so is Lin the same way & just not ready to admit it yet? I don't know, that doesn't feel quite right. Even for that period of time where she'd resigned because of Amon's & Tarrlok's schemes, she was still being like the Shadow Police Chief.
My thoughts on the whole Beifong backstory are almost identical to yours: - I agree Su was definitely in the wrong as a teenager as she was hanging with the wrong crowd and committing literal crimes. - While Lin probably could have showed a little more tact, was just doing her job. - Toph definitely should have done a better job at disciplining Su so that it didn't get this bad. I also admit you made a good point about Toph putting Su in jail. When I first watched this episode, I was on Toph's side that being the chief of police and having one of your daughters in jail would be a bad look. It would probably encourage people to be all "how can we expect you to uphold the laws for the city when you can't enforce discipline on your own daughter!?" I think this mentality comes from how a lot of people tend to blame parents when kids and teens act up because 1. we try not to overly punish kids and 2. parents have a responsibility to teach their kids how to act. That all being said, you're probably right and that Toph probably shouldn't be too concerned with the optics of the situation because if she puts her own daughter in jail, it would've said to a lot of people "yeah, my own daughter is serving time, no one is above the law, not even my own blood." Also, on the subject of Lin holding a grudge; although I am firmly of the stance that no one is entitled to one's forgiveness (even if they're family), her holding that grudge the way she did for 30 YEARS is a bit much. Also, her line that Su "hasn't changed" uh yes, she has! She has a husband, a family, runs her own city, teaches combat and performing arts to people and genuinely has matured as a person! That was just Lin refusing to see what's right in front of her!
