If we don't support musicians in today's modern/digital economy, then musicians won't be able to make a living by just being musicians. And if that happens to the large majority of future musicians, than music itself is doomed to die a slow death.
Congrats Iva!! You rock! I'm glad this helped, if I could go back a year I'd do a lot of things differently on RUclips and I try to bring more attention to the problems of RUclips monetization, but luckily we have a lot of options to expand, even withhout millions of views. :) Thanks for the kind words!
It's the spin-offs you get from your videos, private lessons, patreon, cd sales and endorsments, and a presenter for D'Add😂arrio, as you say. You're doing very well,
Most Instructors get lost in their own technicalities but Beatrix is so focused on dissemination, even Rocket Scientist formulae could be learned if she explained .

Beatrix, you are a wonderful artist. I hate Shorts because they have so little content - really just “click bait..” Also, often just ads to get a viewer to purchase somebody’s “3 steps” or “magic method.” I don’t believe in magic!
Since RUclips became a medium for monetizing activities I've seen many channels changing from good to worthless nonsense, just for the sake of money. I subscribed to your channel because of its instructional quality and to support the values that you also describe in this video and that reflect who you are. It is very hard, if not impossible to rely on RUclips for an income, but it opens up a lot of surrounding avenues.
What you said @8:44 is amazing, rare and a reflection of the beauty of your soul! I can understand Jesus being willing to die to save your soul, because it is so beautiful, but I have a hard time believing He would do so for my soul - but I believe it, of course, because He said He died for all of our sins, so He could save our souls - if we believe Him! (He'll never force His love on us.) I discovered your Evocacion video today and have listened to it twice so far and have shared it. Thank you! I pray for God's best of blessings on you.
What - you're human. Noooooooo!😁 Keep at it - you have great things to contribute to music. YT is a means to an end and part of a multi faceted way to reach ones audience and share insights
That smiley face on your thumb was super funny and I thought that was such a great idea because I had been noticing my own thumb sneaking up when I play in front of cameras and I thought the same thing about my thumb, that it was peaking up and saying "hola" and I was like, "Hey! Get back down there!" Lol
Thank you for this transparent video, it shows the differences in content quality we can get from time to time. Some video clearly designed for the revenues and the others really are from the passion and what the creator want to share. Kudos to you staying true to yourself and your viewers/followers! :0)
Well said. I watched your exercise video and am using them for my ukulele playing. I can't play the guitar because of my shoulder (I live with a FURS Syndrome). Maybe for branching out, you can market your thumb videos for hitchhikers? Left hand thumb for British and Japanese right hand drivers, but you should do a right thumb video for the other countries. Just a suggestion.
Is that really true that if you use copyrighted music in your video (eg a Beatles' song) you share the ad revenues 50/50 with the song creator? I always thought they got 100% and you couldn't monetise it ie you got nothing.
Well it depends. I only have experience in playing someone's song, and because the production and performance is still me, it's 50-50. But I don't have an experience if you just download and use someone else's song as it is.
@@blutey I have an epidemicsound subscription, I think I pay 15 bucks per month to get access to their royalty free library. It's huge and they have this "find similar" feature that makes it easy to find songs that are similar to one that you already like. The ultimate cheat code is that if you cancel the sub, the songs you have used in your videos will remain royalty free. This si something you may want to look into.
Hi Beatrix, great video to realize that I can never earn anything from RUclips, so good to be aware, but that was never my goal anyway... I find your videos highly educative, when you say that something can change our play, there is one thing that I learned recently from you and not from anyone else: "Play quietly when we practice". It is so good, specially for me, and probably my playing changer! I tend to play loud and just by playing loud it makes muscles more tensed and more difficult to relax. If we play quietly we can first relax more and then add up volume later (where needed) when we already learned the piece...
@@beatrixguitarThis channel is one of not so many great educative ones that I found so far. It is not only the content but your way of presenting and emphasizing the important stuff (like relaxing), it is a special gift I must say :) I have one suggestion for your next videos: Alexander technique, check it out...
@@sasha_samardzijaI know you meant well, but it doesn't sound good when you start off saying her channel is "one of not so many great" ones. The mind tends to think you're saying her channel is not so great, when you're actually saying it is really great!
That piece of music is one of my pet dislikes just don't like it the only one that sounds much better on piano it does not sound well on guitar to my ear the other works sound well on the guitar.
Lucas Brar was able to raise a family using YT to grow his courseware audience. He also has a couple of sponsors. In then end, though, I believe he's always wanted to act, and his videos allow him to "scratch that itch." You might interview Lucas, if you haven't already?
I enjoy and admire your videos, your talent, your personality and your honesty. I successfully maintained the beginner's level of a classical guitar player for more than 60 years by having a zero musical talent combined with activities not accommodating guitar playing hands. Nevertheless, being now a retiree with little money and plenty of time, I watch your videos and follow your advice without much worries that I might rise above my dilettante's level of a musicianship prior to my permanent departure. Besides having fun, I simultaneously deepen my appreciation of the talents and skills musicians like you possess. Thank you.

Does music copywriter play a role? How do you get monetize by playing cover songs? I'm just curious.
So, when I play copyrighted music, me and the right owner share the revenue in 50-50 after that whole video.
Great video! I hope to someday make $90 by making lots of people angry on RUclips
